While my girlfriend and I were in our room, two friends unexpectedly visited. Shortly after their arrival, the night staff member informed us about a policy against outside guests. We quickly agreed to take our friends elsewhere, but the staff member followed us, questioning our plans intrusively. When I expressed my displeasure with her attitude, she denied us re-entry to our room or access to our belongings, even though we had prepaid for the night. Our attempt to return later was met with a dismissive tone and refusal to refund us or give back our items.

During my stay at the Roswell location, I noticed some issues with the cleanliness of my room. The sheets were not changed daily, and I found long blonde hair in my bed. The sheets felt unwashed and were wrinkled. When I returned on Tuesday evening, I discovered the same unwashed sheets in my room again. After noticing a lack of freshness in the bathroom, including a dirty toilet and long hair in the tub, I began to feel itchy and noticed bug bites on my feet, neck, and back. I found tiny bugs on the sheets and decided to record them on my phone. Despite being moved to a different room, I encountered similar cleanliness issues with hair and bugs, making me very uncomfortable. I hope the management can assist me with this situation promptly, as I am unable to switch hotels until Saturday morning. My initial room was [redacted], and now I am in room [redacted].

Shortly after checking in, I realized I had made a mistake choosing this accommodation. The noise level and constant activity made it hard to rest. A disruptive argument from a neighboring room lasted for over an hour, and I couldn't even reach the office as my room had no phone. When I informed the office, they didn't provide a replacement. I felt unsafe without any means to contact help in a situation like a potential shooting, considering the current events. Despite paying $90, I found the environment hostile and regret not opting to sleep in my car for peace. As an older individual, I cannot recommend staying here. It's now early in the morning, and I wish to check out and request a refund for the distress causing my lack of sleep and impact on my work performance. I hope for assistance in resolving this issue, as I am disappointed in my expectation that the quality would improve under new management.

During my stay in New Cumberland, PA, I encountered a distressing situation. The first room I was allocated had bed bugs, and the second room was even worse. I am covered in bug bites and have had to store my clothes in garbage bags. The condition of the rooms was appalling, with hair everywhere, suggesting poor cleanliness. The property seems unkempt, with no signs of proper cleaning. I had to leave at 3 am and slept in the parking lot due to the unacceptable conditions. Additionally, I observed suspicious activities with multiple individuals coming and going, causing safety concerns. I have documentation through videos and images and intend to report this to the health department. This experience has been a nightmare, and I now have to take precautions to ensure I do not bring any pests into my home. Despite this ordeal, I must acknowledge that the staff members were friendly and courteous.

I am currently in room [redacted] at the Newark location and there were multiple issues that have left me feeling very upset about my nearly $[redacted] stay. The latch lock on the front door was missing, and the deadbolt was incredibly difficult to operate. The shower and bathroom floor were both very dirty, with yellow stains on the tub, hair on the shower wall, and no drain screen in the tub, leading me to lose a small earring. The sink stopper wouldn't stay up, the temperature and water pressure fluctuated drastically, and only one of the two bathroom switches worked. The GFI outlet in the bathroom couldn't be reset or tested, which is a safety hazard. Additionally, the microwave had no base, the entire room's floors were sticky, and there were no ashtrays in the smoking room we selected, with burn holes in the comforter.

While staying at the New Brunswick, NJ location, we have encountered issues with the front desk staff repeatedly locking us out of our room. This has happened three times since our check-in on December 6th. Each time, we are inconvenienced by having to go to the front desk, answer numerous questions, and gain reentry to the room we have already paid for. These repetitive disruptions are causing frustration and disappointment.Christine T.

I booked a room on 12/09/19 because my furnace broke down. Despite being moved from the first room due to a non-functional heater, the second room also had heating issues. The clerk at the Douglas Az location was very kind and helpful, but unfortunately, the electric heater provided only worked for a short time before failing. As a result, we were cold for the duration of our stay.

Hello, we are looking into a missing persons case and have come across a receipt indicating that she lodged at Motel 6 in Speedway, IN a few weeks prior to her disappearance. We are attempting to locate the proprietor or any staff who were on duty in June [redacted]. Could you assist us in identifying individuals we could reach out to? We have inquiries regarding the premises and whether they recall her visit during that period. Thank you for your help. Todd, Investigator, from Vigils in the Dark Podcast.

I am a trucker currently stranded in Carson, California while my truck is being repaired. As a result of a computer issue at Motel 6, I had to pay cash last night. Today, I was asked to pay more in cash and was informed of a rate increase upon my return from the ATM, which was over a mile away. This was incredibly inconvenient for me as a 76-year-old with mobility issues. I was not aware beforehand that cash payments were required and had to endure additional charges for using the ATM. Despite being a regular guest at Motel 6 and Red Roof, I will now make a point to avoid Motel 6 in the future due to this unpleasant experience. - Glenn F. from Bushnell, FL

I was staying with my family here, but we are currently homeless. I spoke to a manager who gave me permission to stay. After a month and a half, I went to pay today as usual. I didn't mind the fluctuating prices they charged me. Though the rule about service entering the room was news to me, in light of a previous car break-in. Recently, a service attendant entered to find no issues. Despite other concerns like drug-related queries from guests and littered hallways, I always keep to myself. However, today I was told to leave because my dog urinated due to rain. I usually clean up after my dogs, which is evident on the property. I feel this decision is unfair and puts my family in a tough spot. Communication could have resolved any issues, and I hope to continue staying here, as it's the only pet-friendly option in the area.

I recently stayed at a Motel 6 in Pueblo, Colorado for about four weeks, and it was a terrible experience, especially for my little girl. The environment was unpleasant with drug addicts everywhere. When we arrived, the room was dirty, and I had to clean it myself before unpacking. My dad and brother were disrespected by not being asked for identification while the drug users roamed freely. I tried reaching out to management multiple times, but I haven't received a response yet. I ended up spending a lot of money during my three to four-week stay. I even requested room service for clean linens and towels, but nobody came, so I had to buy them myself at Walmart. This situation is unacceptable and inhumane, and I hope for a resolution soon.

Yesterday morning, I had trouble turning on the light over the sink. Despite leaving the switch on, it wouldn't come back on until this morning after switching it multiple times. Unfortunately, the smoke alarm started beeping before 7 AM, indicating it might need a new battery which the clerk couldn't change. As the maintenance man wouldn't arrive until 10 AM, I ended up leaving early to avoid the noise. Now, I find myself in the car with my anxious dog penning this message. My reservation number is RWAEKD3QKE in Starke, FL. I am hoping for some compensation for the inconvenience faced.

I have been wrongly charged for a night I did not stay at the hotel. Despite providing evidence through emails from the location confirming I did not check-in, they are refusing to refund the $61 they took from me. I have tried to rectify this for over a month but to no avail. My card issuer has also been unsuccessful in contacting the hotel owners for a refund. Please assist me in resolving this issue promptly.

I am currently staying at Motel 6 for two weeks. When I tried to extend my rental the day before checkout, I was informed that I needed to check out to allow another person to stay for one night before checking back into the same room. I find this situation unfair, as I have health issues and am staying with my son and pets during bad weather. It seems unnecessary to disrupt our living arrangements for just one day to accommodate someone else. As a loyal customer, I believe it would be more appropriate to allow me to pay for another week as originally planned and continue staying in the same room.

Hello. My name is Lorri Nicholas. I recently applied for a job at Motel 6 in Theodore, Alabama. I was thrilled when they offered me the job and accommodation. As a widow and grandmother, this opportunity meant a lot to me. However, I became concerned when the individual who offered the job requested a picture of me. Despite my discomfort, I only sent a regular picture of myself. When I made it clear that I would not send any other type of photo, all communication regarding the job ceased. I believe there might be a potential issue with one of your employees, Scott Smith, who made me feel uncomfortable. Just wanted to bring this to your attention. Thank you.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I experienced rudeness from the clerk over a small balance of 0.12 remaining for my check-in. The clerk not only took the remaining amount but also demanded an additional 4.55 for my visiting guests before allowing me the room key. Throughout the night, I felt harassed by the staff to the point where they threatened to kick me out at 11 pm without a refund. To add to the unpleasant experience, a short-haired blonde housekeeper raised her voice at me and demanded early access to my room prior to check-out. The customer service at this establishment is truly disappointing, and I will be sharing my negative experience with friends, family, and colleagues to warn them against choosing this hotel in the future.

I am disappointed with the way a new employee handled my complaints last night. The response of "if you don't like it here, you can leave" was not appropriate. Additionally, my lamp has been without a shade for three weeks and the light bulbs have been burning out, which took over a week to fix. The smoke detector in my last room was removed, and there are people walking with work boots upstairs. The parking lot is covered in ice and not properly maintained. Housekeeping knocks loudly on doors, disrupting my sleep. My long-term stay is turning out to be quite unpleasant, with sleepless nights due to the noise.

I am Na'Shonta, currently homeless and staying at Motel 6 in Williamsville, NY since December 5th, [redacted], with my emotional support pup. I have Discoid Lupus and will have nowhere to go when my stay ends. I used the money I saved for housing and even took from my car payments. Despite being a certified nursing assistant, I'm struggling after losing my mother to Lupus and pneumonia. Shelters won't accept us, and I have no family support. Running out of options, I fear losing my car. If there's any assistance you can provide, it would be greatly appreciated for me and Lay'la. You can reach me at [redacted]. Thank you for considering helping us.

My hotel experience was dreadful. The hotel conditions were extremely unsatisfactory. Initially, I found boogers on the walls of the first room I checked into. After switching rooms, I discovered an unclean toilet. Bringing this up to the staff was fruitless as they seemed indifferent due to a lack of management accountability. When I mentioned it to a cleaning staff member, their response was unprofessional. The third room lacked basic amenities like a microwave and fridge, had leftover food on the nightstand, and seemed unclean. I was so appalled that I chose not to stay the night. The poor service reflects bad management. I strongly advise against booking this hotel and plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
