During the last six weeks, my wife and I have been residing at a Motel 6 in Southington, CT, as she battles stage 4 breast cancer. Sadly, I lost my job unfairly due to her illness and had to apply for unemployment under the quit to care law. Given today's holiday, my payment will be delayed until Wednesday. This change affects my ability to meet the bill deadline. I visited the hotel manager seeking a temporary extension, but encountered rudeness. I plan to file a complaint but was disheartened by the lack of a sympathetic ear in the corporate office. As a retired CT police officer who has frequented Motel 6 due to various emergencies, such treatment is unsettling. This incident has left me deeply disappointed with the service provided during our trying times. - Kevin Grosky, Motel 6 Southington, CT [redacted], Room [redacted]

During my recent stay at Motel Six in Ann Arbor, I encountered numerous issues that made my experience very disappointing. Despite booking two rooms, I had to inspect multiple before finding acceptable accommodations due to various concerns. The first room I was given, [redacted], had water and trash beneath and behind the refrigerator, with bugs even present in the water on the floor. Room [redacted] emitted a strong chemical odor akin to a plant. Eventually, I settled on Rooms [redacted] and [redacted], but encountered additional problems. The laminate floors were poorly installed, creaking loudly with each step, and the thin walls allowed us to hear neighboring guests. The bathroom was cramped and lacked a toilet seat lid, a basic amenity. Basic details like a channel guide were missing, and the bedding appeared unwashed and worn. Moreover, the exterior of the motel showed signs of neglect, such as a birds nest in the gutter and unsecured awning supports. This experience left much to be desired, indicating a lack of attention to maintenance and cleanliness at this property.

Based on your representative's advice, I attempted to reach out to the property manager at the Palm and St. Location in Bakersfield, as I was informed it was a franchise and that it might be best to address the issue with the owner first. Despite waiting until nearly 5pm, respecting their time, I was informed the owner had not arrived. I left my phone number as requested but never received a follow-up call or message. I am troubled by the lack of consideration for the safety of guests, especially after reporting a fire hazard and suspicious activity. The disregard for potential hazards concerns me greatly. I am beginning to suspect there may be more to this situation than meets the eye, given the dismissal of my concerns. I urge the management to address this matter with the seriousness it deserves. My past experiences with Motel 6 have been positive, but this recent stay has left me deeply unsettled. Sincerely, Candiis G.

During my stay at Motel 6 in Fort Bragg, CA on October 6, [redacted], I encountered cleanliness issues in my room. After checking in, I found the room to be in a very poor state. I notified the housekeeper, who only changed the bedding, neglecting to clean the sticky mess on the floor and the debris in the bedding that I had pointed out. Additionally, I discovered there was no smoke detector in the room. I had made the reservation a week prior to my stay. I strongly believe that I am entitled to a full refund of $[redacted].00 considering the unsatisfactory conditions of my room.

During my 28-day stay at one of your corporate motels, I encountered issues with being asked to leave after explaining my situation. The manager allowed me to change the name on the register to continue my stay. However, after another 28 days, I was instructed to leave following a new corporate memo which I found questionable as in California it's illegal to mandate guests to vacate after 28 days to prevent them from gaining legal residency. I am contemplating taking legal action against Motel 6 for this matter. Throughout my stay, there were disturbances like people smoking marijuana near my room, resulting in a pervasive smell in the hallways. Additionally, there were disruptive noises from upstairs neighbors, possibly drug addicts, causing sleepless nights. Despite my complaints, no resolution was offered, and towards the end of my stay, I was threatened with a ban if I didn't depart by the 29th day without causing any disturbance.

I have tried numerous times to address this matter. On August 30, [redacted], I stayed at the Motel 6 on [redacted] Thorn Run Rd. in Corapolis, PA. My stay was filled with issues. The room's condition was unacceptable - spaghetti on the walls, dirty floors, pretzels under the bed, and hair in the bathtub. Upon arrival at 3:00 pm with my husband and two teenagers before a concert, the front desk called and demanded we leave due to what he referred to as "kinky activity." He continued to scream over the phone, even telling my 13-year-old daughter to leave using inappropriate language. When I confronted the front desk, I was asked to pay $25 for my children waiting for their dad, even though I booked for two adults through hotels.com. This experience was distressing, and I request a response before escalating this issue to the Better Business Bureau. You can reach me at [redacted] or via email. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I made a booking for Monday, October 8th, [redacted], at the Motel 6 located at [redacted] N. Chestnut St., exit [redacted] in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our confirmation number is 0035ACD038. Despite promises of a senior or retired military discount, our experience was disappointing. Following a difficult time attending funerals and carrying oxygen concentrators due to our disabilities, we were assigned a small, unsatisfactory room (#[redacted]) for $70.44. The unpleasant bathroom odor and urine-stained mattress with specks led us to request a change. Room #[redacted] was no better, with a similar unclean mattress. After voicing our concerns, the staff refunded the charge, prompting us to find a more suitable hotel elsewhere. Ultimately, at a Best Western in Alamosa, Colorado, offering better amenities at a lower price of $66.36 post-discount. This marked a stark contrast to our usual positive experiences with Motel 6 in the past, leaving us disappointed with the declining standards. Moving forward, we will seek cleaner and more comfortable accommodations, unwilling to settle for inadequate rooms at an exorbitant rate.

I encountered the most appalling room ever. It violated health and fire codes, needing urgent attention. Despite my previous positive experiences with Motel 6, this stay was a disaster. I have ample pictures to prove the conditions. I am furious and disgusted. The hotel charged my card prematurely; I was supposed to pay upon arrival. The lack of electricity in the bathroom was unacceptable. I was livid, scrambling to find alternative accommodation for my family and me late at night. This tarnishes the Motel 6 reputation. I am considering involving the health department. I can be contacted at [redacted] or via email at [redacted]

I have photos of our room that show dirty sheets with hair, pubic hair, a drink stain, and a blood spot on the wall. The bathroom was extremely dirty with a towel hung in the corner, a soap bar covered in black dirt, a hair tie in the tub, and dirt stains on the floor by the fridge. Additionally, there was a disturbing incident of domestic abuse in the room next to us. When we reported it to the staff the next morning, they dismissed our concerns and criticized my children for being loud. Later on, there was a violent altercation between two men about drug money owed that lasted for about 10 minutes. We decided to leave the Motel 6 in Waukegan, Illinois after witnessing all of this. The man who checked us in was pleasant, but the staff member the next morning was incredibly rude, refusing to assist us and only telling us to keep quiet. It was a terrible experience, especially considering we had driven 7 hours to visit family and ended up in such a dreadful situation.

I was mistakenly taken for someone else, and the manager aggressively approached me at the door, pointing and yelling that I was being kicked out, even though I had settled the situation with the morning manager as I have been renting a room for the past three days. When I tried to explain this to the security guard, I felt intimidated as the manager wouldn't let me speak to anyone. The security guard, named Josh, then started yelling when I mentioned speaking to his superiors. Now I am sitting outside in the rain and cold. I suffer from PTSD and panic attack disorder.

I checked in around 7:30 last night and found our room completely empty - no remote, phone, ice bucket, or towels. We had to request multiple items, causing inconvenience. The noise levels were also too high, and security seemed lacking. I spoke to the hotel manager, who initially seemed understanding but then only offered 30% off the next night's stay instead of the agreed-upon complimentary night. This has been my worst experience with Motel 6. As I am currently without a home, I would appreciate a complimentary room for tonight, hoping for a better night's rest when I can afford to pay for it.

Motel 6 Experience Complaint I arrived at the hotel around *** yesterday and found our room completely empty - no remote, phone, ice bucket, or towels. It was inconvenient to have to repeatedly go to get the essentials. Additionally, the noise levels were high, and security seemed lacking. Despite a discussion with the manager, where he initially seemed helpful but later offered only **% off the next night instead of the previously agreed upon comped night, this has been my worst experience with Motel 6. I'm currently homeless and would appreciate a complimentary room for tonight for a better experience. A refund would also be appreciated as I no longer wish to stay at this motel * due to this unresolved issue.

Since moving to the [redacted] Airport Blvd West Columbia SC location in February, we have encountered several concerning issues. The owner appears indifferent to the presence of drug dealers, prostitutes, and pimps on the premises, despite frequent police interventions. Our room leaks during rain, infested with bedbugs, and the requested room change was denied. The inoperable phones, malfunctioning ice machine, roaches, and faulty shower drains cause significant inconvenience. False advertising of cable service without local channels adds to the disappointment. Additionally, the neighboring tenant's inappropriate behavior towards families with children is disturbing. We urge the owner to address these problems promptly and conduct business responsibly rather than neglectfully.

I was informed by the front desk employee that I could visit on Saturday at 7am without being charged for Friday. Despite calling Friday morning to confirm, my credit card was charged at 4am. Upon arrival at 7am, they promised a refund. I stayed until Monday to speak with the manager, Mihir Shah, at [redacted] S. Beach Blvd, Anaheim CA [redacted]. She assured me of a $95 refund, mentioning the misinformation from her staff. However, I was surprised to receive an email Tuesday declining the refund. Unfortunately, now she is unresponsive to my calls. This customer service experience has been very disappointing.

For nearly two months, I have been trying to get in touch with corporate regarding multiple issues at the motel. Initially, we faced a situation in a room without air conditioning, yet no resolution was provided. Furthermore, when we reached out to corporate, we were reprimanded by staff on site. Recently, due to a front desk clerk's inappropriate behavior towards us, we had to relocate to another motel 6. The clerk’s disrespectful attitude, especially towards exchanging sheets and towels, was unacceptable. I believe the mistreatment is linked to my race, as she changed her behavior when assisting a white couple. The clerk's behavior towards us, including unnecessary charges for stained towels, was distressing. Attempts to discuss the incidents with management were unsuccessful, and the situation made us so uncomfortable that we had to spend a night in our car. This unjust treatment based on my skin color needs to be addressed promptly. The incidents occurred at the [redacted] E 41st St location in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with our current stay at the Motel 6 Fairgrounds on Yale and 51st.

I arrived late at the Bismark location with my son and dogs, requesting an extended checkout time for much-needed rest during my journey. While I was initially granted until 2pm the following day, housekeeping rudely woke us at 10:45am demanding we leave, despite my explanation of the extended checkout arrangement. The general manager offered only $20 for the inconvenience and abruptly ended our call. This treatment was unacceptable considering the circumstances as a disabled traveler in need of proper rest and medication scheduling. Apologies and full compensation are warranted for the mismanagement of my stay. The only positive experience was with the kind check-in staff, highlighting the stark difference in treatment between them and the staff the next day. This situation has left me feeling disregarded and disrespected.

During my stay at Motel 6 on [redacted] W Broadway Rd, Tempe, AZ, room [redacted], the power outage occurred around 7-7:30 last night. This situation made me late for work as my phone was not charged, and I had to endure a cold shower. Even when I returned at 5 am, the lights were still out, and the noise from the electric company drilling to fix the issue prevented me from resting. With little sleep, I had to head back to work. I've been a guest here for nearly a month, paying weekly, and believe I deserve compensation for the inconvenience. - C. W.

I had an issue with my reservation at the hotel. The check-in process took longer than expected and the staff member was unhelpful. There were no available parking spots either. After multiple trips to the office due to the key not working, I finally got a new room. Unfortunately, the new room had burn holes in the bed cover, black smudges on the sheets, and a lighter under the blankets. I had to sleep in the other bed.

I have recently stayed at multiple properties under your brand in the past month. Unfortunately, I encountered several issues during my stays. In one instance, I had no cold water and the hot water was at a scalding temperature. Despite reporting the problem to the front desk, I was informed that there was no immediate solution. Additionally, I discovered roaches in the room along with discarded cigarettes on the floor. There was also a power outage throughout the night leading to a lack of television and electricity, compounding the presence of roaches. On another occasion, a faulty door locking mechanism left me locked out for over two hours due to the absence of maintenance support, and there was no hot water available. To address these inconveniences, I was offered a mere $25 credit after the night of the power outage. These experiences across three different properties highlight concerning customer service issues that I believe warrant attention and resolution.

Hello, I would like to inform you that I recently rented a room at your motel branch in the Christiana area off of I-95, [redacted] McIntosh Plaza, Newark, DE [redacted]. After setting my infant daughter on the floor in her swing to place her car seat in the closet, I was startled when a cockroach ran across the floor onto her swing and across her forehead. Paying $83 for a night in your motel, this situation is unacceptable and unsanitary. I would greatly appreciate it if you could email me back regarding this issue.
