I recently stayed at the Scarborough Rd Motel 6 in Columbus, OH on August 10 and 11, [redacted]. The rate for the room was $85, which was quite expensive. Unfortunately, the room was not up to standard - it was dirty, had a musty smell, and the A.C. unit was even duct taped to the wall. To make matters worse, when I returned on the evening of the 11th, the room had not been cleaned. The front office was unapologetic and offered no refund, only suggesting that I pick up fresh towels in person. This experience was far from what your advertising promises. I am disappointed and would like a refund.

I was disappointed with my recent stay at Motel 6 in Suffolk, Virginia. I have photos to support my claims. I am the director of a well-known group in North Carolina that travels monthly. If I do not receive a refund or voucher for another location, I will not stay at Motel 6 again. Issues included a faulty key card reader, a missing lock on the door, mold on the bathroom ceiling, a missing smoke alarm, a broken toilet, poorly managed AC wires, rude staff, unswept floors, and no trash can in the room. Please respond promptly. - Michelle G.

Hello, I am Chawanda Daniels, and I would like to share my experience during my recent stay at Motel 6 in Rochester, NY on August 7, [redacted]. I faced a difficult situation due to a traffic violation near the motel. Being a disabled individual experiencing homelessness, I sought a safe and affordable accommodation. I contacted the motel on 08/21/[redacted] to request a copy of my receipt for assistance with emergency housing from the local social services. Despite reaching out to an associate named Asheley and asking for the receipt to be faxed to [redacted], I was informed it would be sent at their convenience, causing a delay. I am eager for a resolution and would appreciate a callback at [redacted]. Thank you for your attention.

On August 22nd, [redacted], we made a room reservation but experienced several setbacks leading to a stressful and uncomfortable stay. The initial room we were given lacked hot water, had a leaking sink, and a distorted TV speaker. Despite being able to switch rooms, the second room had a burnt-out spot on the TV screen and insufficient towels. My husband had to seek towels, as there were only washcloths and hand towels. These issues are unsatisfactory, and we believe our night's stay should be compensated or replaced with a complimentary one to rectify the situation. We have been loyal customers of Motel 6 and hope this matter can be addressed promptly.

I rented a room, reserved and paid for, but my guest locked me out. She called the office to have me removed, only to find out that I am the one listed on the paperwork as the renter. Despite this, the manager threatened to evict both of us with no refunds. I comprehend their zero-tolerance policy, but I'm confused as to why the one who paid for and whose name is on the room would be the one asked to leave.

I have been staying at the Motel 6 in West Memphis, Arkansas for over three and a half years, even before they relocated. This hotel has been a regular spot for my family reunions, and every time I pass through as a truck driver, my girlfriend and I stay there. I usually give her money and either my debit card, credit card, or cash for the room. Recently, someone called my company and threatened to tow my truck from the truck parking space at the hotel. Despite discussing my parking situation with the manager before, it seems there's sudden forgetfulness. I have enjoyed weekends and holidays at this hotel, but the recent incident has left me very disappointed. I will not be recommending this hotel to any of my family, friends, or fellow truck drivers in the future.

I accidentally left my card key in the room while my husband was asleep and unresponsive. When I attempted to get a new card key from the office, the staff member denied my request since the room was under my husband's name. Despite providing my license showing our matching last name and address, they cited company policy as the reason for refusal. This happened at the North Springfield location off of Glenstone. I had to resort to banging on the door until my husband woke up, which was frustrating. I had planned on becoming a regular weekend guest, but after this experience, I will not be returning. This incident has left me extremely disappointed, and I will no longer choose Motel 6 for my stays or recommend it to my company based on this strict policy regarding spouses.

I am a long-time Motel 6 customer who is extremely upset. I recently stayed at the Motel 6 located at [redacted] Airport Freeway in Euless, Texas, and paid for two nights, totaling $[redacted]. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with the service. The first night, my sink was clogged and emitting a foul odor, making it impossible to use. When I requested to change rooms due to this issue, I was informed that no rooms were available due to pending reservations. Moreover, despite my checkout time being noon, housekeeping loudly knocked on my door at 10 am, disrupting my rest. The manager, Jesus, was unhelpful and even laughed off my concerns. During my subsequent night, the same issue occurred with early morning disturbances from housekeeping, and Jesus claimed he couldn't address the situation. As a longtime customer of 15 years, I am incredibly disappointed with the service I received. I am moving to another hotel immediately due to this unacceptable experience.

I arrived at the Goleta, CA hotel well after check-in time at 4:30 pm only to be told by the desk attendant that no rooms were available. I requested a room near the pool on the ground floor, but was informed they weren't ready. Despite seeing several seemingly clean rooms as I walked by, when I inquired about them, I was denied and told they would call back. No callback came by 5:30 pm, so I phoned again. The staff member asked to put me on hold, leading me to search for alternative accommodations nearby. I discovered an available room at Best Western with complimentary breakfast and happy hour. When the Motel 6 staff finally contacted me to say a room was ready, I had already booked elsewhere for a better deal with more amenities. It seems like they could have checked me in earlier considering the standard 3:00 pm check-in time.

During my stay at Motel 6 in Long Beach, California, I experienced a fall in the shower. Miss Hollandsworth assisted me and called the front desk for help. Although an ambulance was reluctantly called, I ended up at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. The hospital found soft tissue damage but thankfully no broken bones. The motel's tub had worn anti-skid strips and poor drainage, contributing to my fall. I was prescribed pain medication and advised not to drive for a few days. The lack of cleanliness in the room was also evident. The response from the motel staff during the incident could have been more prompt and supportive.

During my recent stay at the Motel 6 in Georgetown, Kentucky, I encountered a troubling situation that left me feeling upset. Upon arrival in a Penske truck with a car tow, I found obstructed access to the front of the building due to asphalt work. After seeking assistance from the front desk clerk named Damon, I was assured I could park at the back and leave in the morning. However, the next day, a contractor accused me of damaging the asphalt and a dispute ensued when Damon denied giving permission to drive through. Despite advocating for myself and proposing to check the security footage, the manager sided with his employee. The situation escalated further when the contractor used inappropriate language towards me. Feeling unfairly treated and facing a potential $[redacted] charge for damages, I am deeply disappointed in the lack of resolution from the management. I am considering taking legal action due to this discriminatory treatment.

Hello, I am a frequent guest at your hotel chain because of my extensive travels. I have stayed at your hotels approximately 75 times this year, spanning from Las Vegas to Maryland. Unfortunately, I encountered some issues during my recent stay at Motel 6 NOW Airport in Baltimore. Upon checking in on Sunday, August 26th, I discovered there was no cable in my room, which was not communicated to me during check-in. Furthermore, during my most recent night, the toilet in the room ran all night and eventually caused a flood on the floor at 3:30 am. Although the staff was willing to switch rooms, it was too late in the night to go through with the change. Despite the hotel's convenience and the great staff, I am disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding the TV and bathroom situation. I have been a loyal customer, often booking through booking.com or hotels.com, and I hope to receive appropriate compensation for these inconveniences. My name is Maya S., and I trust you can verify my numerous stays at your hotels throughout the year.

Hello, my name is Annette McCullough. I am having an issue with renting a room at Motel 6 in Pittsburg, CA. Last year in [redacted], my daughter and her friends stole my bank cards, credit cards, driver's license, social security number, and birth certificate, causing significant problems for me. She booked a room at the Motel 6 in Pittsburg, where an altercation occurred involving someone she had with her, which resulted in my name being added to your do not rent list. I apologize for the trouble my daughter caused. I am actively working to restore my reputation, which is a challenging task. I tried to rent a room today but was informed of my status on your DNR list. I am in town and would like to resolve this matter promptly due to the situation I am facing as a victim of identity theft by my daughter. Can you assist me with this matter tonight?

I checked into Motel 6 at [redacted] Harrisburg Pike in Carlisle, PA on August 22, [redacted], for a 4-night stay while attending Corvettes at Carlisle. However, upon entering the room, it was evident that it had not been cleaned properly for some time. There were spider webs with dead spiders in every corner of the main room and bathroom, and the toilet had spattered waste around the bowl. Despite requesting to speak to the manager, I was only able to address the issues with a clerk. After several attempts, the manager finally sent a staff member to remove the remaining spider web. When I inquired about compensation upon check-out, I was informed that none would be provided, leaving me disappointed with both the room's condition and the lack of customer service from the General Manager, Sylivia Tonic. It was a letdown, especially after being a loyal guest for over 25 years during the Corvette event.

During my recent stay at your hotel, I encountered a concerning issue that I would like to address. Initially staying in room [redacted] for three nights, I later checked out and returned the same day to room [redacted]. Shortly after settling in, I began experiencing bites on my hands, feet, and neck, prompting me to request to speak with the manager. Despite bringing this to the attention of the service desk representative and displaying the bites I had received, I was puzzled when asked why I didn't report it earlier to be moved to a different room. Due to feeling unsafe as a 60-year-old disabled individual, I opted to check out instead. Upon returning for a third time and staying in room [redacted], the issue persisted, leading my son to intervene. He was given a can of Raid to address the problem, and although I was offered another room, I found myself back in room [redacted] where the initial bites occurred. After consulting with my doctor, it was confirmed that the bites were from bed bugs, necessitating extensive measures to prevent further infestation. Despite my attempts to discuss the matter with the manager on three separate occasions, I have been informed of their absence each time. In light of these circumstances, I kindly request a refund for the three nights I stayed or an alternative arrangement such as three complimentary nights. Additionally, I seek reimbursement for the expenses incurred on the cream I purchased for treatment. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I regret to inform you about the unfortunate stay my uncle and I experienced at the Motel 6 in Thornburg, Ohio. We were there for the Mopar National car and drag race show, and upon arrival, we encountered issues with the room. Despite paying in cash, we found the door wouldn't lock due to a loose door strike plate and the mini refrigerator was moldy. The night manager was unhelpful, claiming he couldn't refund us and directed us to the main manager in the morning. After speaking to the manager named Amy, she promised a refund by mail, which I am yet to receive despite multiple follow-up calls. It seems like there has been a lack of communication and follow-through from the management, leaving me frustrated and disappointed with the overall experience. This incident might unfortunately deter me from choosing Motel 6 in the future. Thank you, Brad Tuttle.

I am currently staying at Motel 6 on Kern St in Salinas, CA. While chatting with a friend outside, I was approached by another guest named Mary from room [redacted]. Mary started insulting me, calling me names, and falsely accusing me of neglecting my friend when he got arrested. This escalated to the point where she attempted to physically harm me. Despite the situation, I maintained my composure and refrained from retaliating due to her being an older lady. This issue arose when the guest from room [redacted], who had been kicked out of another Motel 6 location on Airport, moved in and brought along her disruptive behavior.

As an IT consultant, I recently worked on a contract in Madison, Wisconsin, where I booked a room at the Motel 6 located on [redacted] E Towne Blvd for 7 nights. Upon returning one day (8/30/[redacted]), I discovered that all my belongings had been removed from the room due to an alleged smoking violation, despite the fact that I do not smoke. When I spoke to the front desk about this issue, I was asked to leave immediately with the help of the police, even though I had three more nights left on my booking. Despite attempting to contact the manager, I did not receive a response to the email I sent. This whole situation has been very upsetting, and I am seeking assistance in resolving this matter and finding justice.

I had reserved a room for 2 nights at the Motel 6 in Hesperia, CA. I called when I was [redacted] miles away to confirm check-in time. Initially, I was told check-in was around 3 pm and that I could check in early after 12:30 pm. Upon arriving at 10 am, another staff member said early check-in wasn't possible. This inconsistency caused us to wait in 90-degree heat for 5 hours. I am disappointed and frustrated with this experience. I will be sharing my feedback if this issue is not addressed. Thank you, Dennis Davis.

I found bugs all over the room we checked into, including gnats and flies which is very unsanitary. The TV wasn't working due to the remote batteries and manual control not functioning. My husband and I couldn't sleep due to the pests. When reporting the issues at the front office, we were informed that refunds are not provided and we must wait for the manager, who arrives between 10am and 11am, after our 12pm checkout. While I have a positive rental history at Motel 6 and enjoy staying there often, this experience on 9/2/[redacted]-9/3/[redacted] has been unpleasant. I hope to continue being a valued customer despite this negative experience. Thank you, Stephanie D. at Motel 6 on Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
