I purchased a computer with Office [redacted] pre-installed and used it without issues for two years. Recently, I started receiving messages prompting me to purchase a legitimate version of Office. A few months later, I encountered a problem where Excel files would not open. To address this, I decided to purchase Office Home & Student [redacted]. I uninstalled the Office apps, downloaded, and installed Office [redacted]. However, when I try to open a file, it reverts to Office [redacted] which is not functional. Even when attempting to open Office [redacted] from the Start menu, it acknowledges the newer version but fails to open it. I have diligently followed various online suggestions, reinstalled Office [redacted] multiple times after removing all associated Office files from my system. Despite seeking help through online support and booking an appointment, I faced connectivity issues and was informed that my account details were incorrect, despite using the same account for the Office [redacted] purchase.

I recently started a new remote job and today, while dropping my mom off at the airport, I received an email in my MS Outlook account from my boss who works in the UK. She asked me to purchase gift cards for a client. Unfortunately, I fell victim to a phishing email that appeared to be from my boss on my mobile, but was actually a scam. I ended up losing $[redacted] in this scam. I have already taken steps to report this incident to my bank, the store where I bought the gift cards, the gift card company, and the Federal Trade Commission. While I hope to recover my money, I want to highlight the need for better phishing protection on Outlook, especially on the mobile app. Displaying the sender's email address would have helped me avoid this situation. I believe Microsoft should improve security measures to prevent such phishing attempts in the future.

Subject: Concern Regarding Hotmail Outlook App I am experiencing a problem with the Hotmail Outlook app. Despite deleting folders, the app continues to display old, deleted folders while hiding the ones I need. I attempted to forward an email but was frustrated by the unwanted details appearing in my inbox. When trying to edit or remove these folders, the app failed to respond accordingly. This situation is not only annoying but also raises security concerns as it may expose me to fraud and hacking risks. Deleted items should not resurface in the inbox, which unfortunately seems to be happening with the Hotmail Outlook app. I am disappointed with the app's functionality and would appreciate a prompt resolution to this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, [Initials]

I recently bought a new computer and when attempting to transfer my MSN account, I couldn't because I forgot the password. Despite trying the recovery option, I was still denied access. I've had this account for over 5 years and seem to be failing the identifying questions. There is money associated with this account under [redacted] I've tried the customer service chat, but they are asking for more payment, even though this issue should be covered under the account protection. Why won't they assist me without demanding additional payment?

Hello Microsoft Team, I encountered issues transferring contacts between work and personal accounts on October 1st. Unfortunately, there was no option to import chats/contacts in bulk, leading me to manually input them. After enhancing security settings by adding an email, phone number, date of birth, and two-step verification, I experienced frequent logouts. Spending several hours adding nearly [redacted] out of [redacted] contacts and joining work-related groups, I urgently seek assistance to unlock my account. The repeated lockouts are hindering the transfer process, causing significant stress and consuming family time. I am willing to verify my identity through various means if necessary. Kindly unlock my account promptly or suggest an alternative solution. Your immediate help is highly appreciated. Best regards, Stefan Kalupov

I am experiencing difficulty logging into my Microsoft account due to an issue with an alternate email set for verification not receiving the code. Despite multiple attempts and account recovery requests, I have been unable to resolve the problem. I have followed various instructions to no avail. It is frustrating to encounter these obstacles with such a tech-savvy company.

My Microsoft [redacted] Family subscription has expired, and I can't recall my password to renew it. When I tried the "forgot password" option, I didn't receive the code to reset my password via email. I completed an account verification form, but it still didn't provide enough information to verify my account. I tried several times, adding more details, but ended up getting locked out for 24 hours. I need to renew the subscription I purchased through Best Buy, and it's frustrating that I can't speak to a customer service representative to resolve this promptly.

Yesterday, one of my monitors stopped working, so I enabled multi-GPU in the BIOS to use the second monitor through my motherboard. However, this caused League of Legends to run on the integrated GPU instead of the RTX. I adjusted settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel but had no luck. Disabling the integrated GPU and uninstalling its driver didn't work, so I reinstalled drivers through GeForce Experience and disabled multi-GPU in the BIOS to resolve the issue. Today, I encountered a new problem. While using my PC without issue for two hours, launching League of Legends caused my CPU to throttle down from 4.7GHz to 0.78GHz, rendering the PC unusable. Resetting 3D settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel and reinstalling GeForce Experience briefly resolved the problem before the CPU throttling resumed. System restore and various other attempts did not work. Despite normal CPU temperatures, the issue persists only with League of Legends.

I've been inundated with email spam lately. It seems like the culprit may be copyright.com, a marketing platform for publishers selling permissions to authors. I want to figure out how to make it stop and identify the compromised account. The majority of these emails are academic in nature and seem to originate from Western Europe. Interestingly, none contain explicit content, leading me to believe they've gone through a filter system. I've received around [redacted] of these emails, all of which I've directed to my junk folder without opening. I've taken the step to reach out to copyright.com about this issue. The flood of emails began shortly after an exchange with them confirming a request I made, and no other sources were contacted before or after this interaction for at least 12 hours.

I want to report a scam using the name of Microsoft. A pop-up warned me of a "Trojan Horse" virus on my computer, advising me to call Microsoft Support at 1-[redacted]. The pop-up claimed my PC was disabled and I needed to call to fix it. When I phoned the number, someone answered with an Indian accent and told me to install software starting with the letter "A." I hastily uninstalled it and he then requested I open my banking information, which I declined to do. He promptly hung up on me.

I have noticed some unusual account activities resulting in my PIN being blocked. Microsoft advised using the registered ID word instead, but I can't recall it. I managed to reset my password successfully, but the old password on the blocked Notebook keeps showing it as wrong. Please assist me in unblocking my PIN or guide me on where to locate the old Microsoft password. Thank you, Hartmut K. W.

I received a notice purportedly from Windows Defender Security indicating Microsoft Support blocked my laptop due to a Trojan virus. The alert asked me to contact the number provided to authorize them to fix the issue remotely. An individual named Alice James with employee number MS5678 is expected to call me at 9 am. Following their instructions, I left the laptop on overnight for virus removal, refraining from using other devices. However, my laptop now displays a complete listing of its contents, leaving me skeptical of the situation. I feel uncertain about the legitimacy of this intervention and if Microsoft Support truly initiated it. I'm unsure of the appropriate course of action in this situation.

I received an error message from both Outlook (Hotmail) and Gmail: "Your message wasn't delivered because the recipient's email provider rejected it." This problem started over the weekend. A friend tried to send me a document via Outlook multiple times, but I didn't receive it. However, when they sent it to my Gmail, I got it. The error message I received through Gmail duplicates an earlier message I received through Outlook. I've read about similar issues online dating back to February. I haven't made any changes to my computer setup. As a precaution, I reinstalled Office. My primary email is Outlook/Hotmail, and Gmail is secondary. I have the diagnostic report related to the error message. Kevin McHugh, subscriber to Office [redacted].

Hello. I am reaching out in the hope of unlocking access to my account. I had to create a new account to post this message. This account is crucial to me as I receive all my emails through it and use it for important Skype calls. The message I receive when trying to log in is: "Your account has been locked. We have detected activity that violates our Microsoft service agreement and have locked your account." To unlock your account, you will need additional help. Access "Aka.ms/compliancelock," and we will guide you to the right place. When I visit this link, there is a review form for a locked Microsoft account. I have filled out this form twice and received confirmation within 24 hours, but they still say my form information is incomplete even though I have filled out all the fields. What should I do?

Hello, my Instagram account has been hacked. The hacker changed the email associated with my profile, making it impossible for me to access my account. They are requesting a code sent to an old email address I haven't used in over ten years, as the only way to recover my Instagram. I have lost the password for this email, so I'm trying to regain access to it ([redacted]). The hacker is falsely using my identity to deceive people into a bitcoin scam. I regret falling for their trick of changing my email address on Instagram. My concern is not only about my photos and memories on the account but also stopping this fraudster from victimizing others. I feel helpless and desperate to regain control of my account and prevent further harm. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I recently discovered that my Hotmail account, along with my Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify accounts, has been hacked. These three apps were linked to my Hotmail email address ([redacted]), which I can no longer access. I have lost complete control of this account since I moved abroad and created a new email address for my professional career. The hackers are now misusing my account to make unauthorized charges using a foreign credit card in my name. I am willing to provide any necessary information to recover my account since the automated system has not been successful so far. I am reachable via this email or by phone/text at +1 [redacted] in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada. Thank you for your assistance

Yesterday I encountered an issue with my Xbox One X. I turned on the controller, but the TV displayed a message that the HDMI cable was not working. After restarting the console, it worked fine, but today the same problem occurred. I tried different HDMI cables and connecting to another TV, but it still shows no signal. I followed troubleshooting steps from the website but had no success. I am unsure if I should bring it in for repairs. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have been contacted about a trial subscription for Windows Firewall protection, which I do not recall signing up for. I am looking to cancel this subscription as soon as possible. I have been trying to reach the provided phone number, 1-[redacted], for about three weeks without success. If this is related to Microsoft or Windows, I find this business practice unacceptable, and I will not be making any future purchases from them. If this is a legitimate matter, I would appreciate it if the appropriate department could address this matter promptly. Please contact me via email. Thank you.
