During my initial three weeks of unemployment, my claims were denied due to my response to the work-seeking question on Marvin. Given the circumstances of my company's closure following the Stay at Home Order, I truthfully answered that I had not sought work. I possess a waiver from my employer confirming this exemption. Despite mailing, faxing, and attaching the documentation to my protest/appeal on the MIWAM Site, my case has been stuck in progress for weeks. Interestingly, subsequent weeks without the work-seeking question allowed my claims to go through. Despite my efforts to reach out via phone, online chat, and messages, I have not received a resolution. The weeks in question are March 28th, April 4th, and April 11th, amounting to a frustrating two-month wait for assistance.

UIA held my funds for 10 weeks due to a non-monetary issue stemming from leaving an abusive employer and starting my own business. Despite numerous attempts to contact them, my emails went unanswered until the governor's decree led to the release of the hold. Subsequently, my payments were halted for identity fraud for the following 6 weeks, which has been frustrating. Despite providing various forms of identification through email and phone calls with both my ex-employer and UIA, my identity verification is still pending, leaving my account in limbo. After hours of trying to reach them, I finally connected with a chat representative, Gretchen, who assured me the issue was resolved, but my account is still showing as processing with two conflicting messages about identity verification failure. UIA emailed me to disregard further ID requests, leaving me confused about the next steps.

Hello, I recently reapplied for unemployment benefits, which I do every summer due to my job situation. Unfortunately, I received a denial letter (Letter ID - L[redacted]) and responded by sending a protest letter on June 5th, [redacted]. Since then, I have not received any further correspondence, and my profile still shows as pending. I have tried to reach out through instant messages on the site and via phone calls multiple times but have not received a response. In my letter of protest, I granted permission to verify my citizenship. I am hoping to receive the two missed unemployment checks and continue receiving benefits until I return to work on August 10th. Thank you. - L.W.

I'm facing an issue logging into MIWAM with my new email and phone number. Although I can access the talent bank, I'm unable to proceed when trying to log into my MIWAM account due to the authentication page not allowing it. The old email address, [redacted], and the previous phone number, [redacted], are causing a hindrance. I need them removed so I can certify for benefits. I've updated my profile with the new email, [redacted], and phone number, [redacted], but the old information persists on the authentication page, preventing me from completing necessary tasks. This has been ongoing for about 2 months, and I require assistance to rectify this login issue. I've updated my user name and password, and my contact number is [redacted]. I appreciate any help in correcting this. Thank you.

I have not received a stop payment notice, only a request for additional information under tasks to complete. When I try to fill it out, it directs me to my claim. My claim still appears as approved and active, but it has been processing payment for over a week without any payment being made. I have rent and bills due soon and cannot handle the late fees or disconnect charges. I have sent four emails without a response. I check my mail, email, and spam daily for any communication regarding the stop payment or any updates from unemployment, but I have not received anything. I have been unable to reach anyone by phone. I also submitted various forms of identification, but I still have not heard back. In the midst of a pandemic, I urgently need assistance with food and bill payments. Please reach out to me.

Good morning, I have been waiting for my unemployment benefits since May 1st. I left my job due to workplace discrimination, which I had reported to Human Resources at my previous employer. The mistreatment and daily harassment made it impossible for me to continue working there. Despite addressing the issue with HR in February [redacted], nothing changed, leading me to resign on May 1, [redacted]. I worked at the company for 4 years and faced bullying and belittling from multiple colleagues, with no real consequences for their actions. I request your assistance in resolving this matter promptly. My name is Susan Palazzola C[redacted]-0. Thank you. Please let me know if you require additional details.

I filed online in March due to being advised by my doctor to self-quarantine for 14 days. I was denied benefits despite not being able to work because I was following the stay home, stay safe guidelines. I was later laid off on April 6th as the kitchen where I worked closed because of Covid-19. I couldn't reapply because my initial claim was not resolved. After being directed to file for PUA, I did but only received the minimum due to not having a W-2, only a [redacted]. Upon being called back to work on May 14th, I worked reduced hours for two weeks, and then the kitchen closed again due to low customer turnout. I worked half a day on June 6th before being laid off once more. After receiving PUA for one week, I was informed to file a new claim, but the link provided in my alerts on the MIWAM account was missing. I'm unable to file a new claim as my initial claim from March is still pending, even though I certify it every two weeks. I am now unable to receive any support. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Yvonne J.

I live in Michigan and have received unemployment benefits twice during the pandemic. When trying to access my account, I encountered issues with my password, which led to my account being disabled. Despite answering security questions correctly, I was still locked out. I attempted to contact customer service via phone multiple times without success. The automated system did not offer an option to address a disabled account. I tried various methods to reach a representative with no luck. Now, I am unsure if I can still certify over the phone using MARVIN and receive benefits, considering my account is disabled. I am looking for any advice from those who have experienced a similar situation.

Hello, My name is Shannon Preston and I am experiencing issues with identity verification. I have already sent copies of my IDs through the mail along with form UIA6347, as well as through the "send unemployment a message" feature. However, I recently received a notification on MIWAM requesting me to send copies through the system using the number from form UIA6347 that I sent by mail. Unfortunately, I do not have that number as I have already mailed the form back along with copies of my driver's license, social security card, and birth certificate. Additionally, I mistakenly used my monetary determination letter number instead of the UIA6347 number, resulting in my identification verification being denied. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

At the end of June, I received a notification to file a new unemployment insurance claim. I had been filing under PUA (Claim #: C[redacted]-0) since April. I followed all instructions and completed the new claim, and I now have a new claim number C[redacted]-0. My account alerts instruct me to report between 06-Jul-[redacted] and 11-Jul-[redacted], but there is no option to report my weekly benefits. When I called MARVIN, I was told the next certification week begins on July 19th. I want to ensure I am following the correct steps to receive my compensation. Please help me verify when and how I should report my weekly certification, as I have not done so since the week ending June 13th. Bills are due at the end of the month, so I appreciate any assistance you can provide.

I have been facing challenges with both my physical and cognitive health, seeking medical help and undergoing therapy. Due to various head injuries in the past, I struggle with memory lapses and comprehension issues. Recently, I discovered that I was approved for $[redacted] weekly in unemployment benefits, but I missed the certification deadline due to confusion. I have attempted to rectify this through multiple calls and messages to no avail. I urgently need the unemployment funds for essential expenses like medical bills and my mortgage. Your assistance in resolving this matter promptly would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact me or leave a message if I am unavailable. Thank you, Beth A. Tompson PUA C[redacted]-0.

I have submitted all necessary information to the UIA office for my claim processing. I received an approval letter and the initial payment successfully. However, upon attempting to certify again, I was asked for additional identification, and a stop payment indicator was placed on my account. Despite submitting the required details three times, I keep receiving an error message stating the letter ID is invalid, even when inputting the exact numbers from the letter received. I have tried contacting them through phone calls, messages, and live chat, but have not been successful in getting a response. It has been over two weeks, and I am still awaiting further instructions. I would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed.

After being furloughed in March and receiving continuous benefits until June 13, I went back to work from June 16-30. Unfortunately, due to my high-risk status for COVID-19, including being over 65 with underlying health issues such as high blood pressure, COPD, and asthma, the new work conditions were unsafe for me. I made the tough choice to resign after 9 1/2 years. Now, I'm uncertain about my unemployment benefits eligibility. I need guidance on whether I can still receive benefits, considering my recent work situation and resignation. My original claim is open, and I'm unsure if I need to appeal a denial or take any other steps. Any assistance in understanding my options would be greatly appreciated.

Due to the closure of my office because of COVID-19, I couldn't work from home due to the lack of equipment, leading to unemployment. Initially, I filed my claim as a Leave of Absence, anticipating a prompt return to work upon the office reopening. However, my employer informed me that I should have filed as unemployed instead. I attempted to rectify this by updating my status to unemployed due to COVID-19, but unfortunately, this adjustment did not reflect in my claim. It's been concerning as my claim from June 14th still shows as pending. Despite providing ample documentation, I seek guidance on whether I should file a new claim or wait for the current one to be processed correctly. The delay in receiving income has been distressing, and I appreciate any assistance offered. Thank you for your support.

I believe a fraud incident occurred under my social security number in June. A bank card was sent to my home, prompting me to file a fraud claim. However, I faced an issue when my employer enrolled me in the work share program for July due to reduced work hours. They mentioned I should receive a bank card, which I didn't. Upon requesting a new card, I received one linked to the fraud case, attached to an unfamiliar email. This prevented me from accessing the funds. I am unsure about the next steps. I simply require a new bank card connected to my work share account as my employer submitted two claims on my behalf, yet I have not received any money.

For a few weeks now, I have been unable to access my MIWAM/UIA account despite using my regular username and password. I verified that my username (prokuratm5680) matches my email ([redacted]) through the "forgot username" option. However, each time I attempt to log in, I receive an error stating that the account doesn't correspond to the email address, eventually leading to being locked out. After numerous frustrating experiences being put on hold, disconnected, or directed to different departments without a solution, I have received various notices from UIA ranging from warnings, threats, accusations of neglect, and even tax penalties with interest. Despite attempting to settle any outstanding amounts and submit missing reports, the issue with accessing my account persists. I received emails advising to contact UIA if problems persist, creating a frustrating cycle. Resolving this seems unattainable, and I am seeking assistance.

I was approved for unemployment benefits for 26 weeks, starting on 3/27/[redacted], at $[redacted] per week. Despite this, each time I certified, my benefits were denied without any explanation. I was then prompted to apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), which I did. However, I was approved for a significantly lower amount than I believe I am entitled to because the PUA system seems to favor independent contractors. Since March 22, I have not received any benefits for the weeks ending on March 28, April 4, April 11, April 18, May 23, May 30, July 4, July 11, July 18, and now July 25. I've been patient throughout this process, but I really need to speak to someone about my benefit payments. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you.

I have not received 6 certified payments totaling $[redacted], made from April 27 to May 6, despite being signed up for direct deposit. I have re-entered my bank details, contacted my bank and Bank of America, but the issue persists. I have not been able to reach anyone for assistance or get a response. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was denied regular unemployment on July 13th, and a subsequent letter indicated I was eligible for PUA. Despite re-certifying for the weeks I claimed regular unemployment, they were denied. I later received a letter stating my PUA was eligible starting May 17th. However, I have not received payment for those weeks. I have not received any response regarding this issue to date.

To Whom It May Concern, I have been waiting for my unemployment benefits, but my status shows "Processed - Pending Payment" since my initial application. It is a struggle for my family and me as we have not received any payments yet. The uncertainty and the financial strain of not working for months have been hard, especially with three children to support. I need assistance as I am approved for benefits but have not received any payments since January/February. Please help me resolve this issue and receive my much-needed unemployment benefits. Sincerely, Jessica R.
