Yesterday, on May 9, I placed an order and promptly requested the seller to cancel it. Despite multiple polite messages asking for cancellation, my request was ignored. I noticed the seller created a new listing the next day, indicating she was active but not responding to my cancellation requests. After trying to cancel the order myself, I was informed a message would be sent to the seller. To my dismay, the seller claimed to have shipped the item and then proceeded to block me when I reached out again. This has left me feeling frustrated as my $40 was taken without resolving the issue. I hope for the seller's account to be terminated for their dishonest behavior. I had planned to use the refunded money to purchase another item on Mercari, but now I'm left dealing with this situation. I purchased Powerbeats 3 from a seller on Mercari on 2/1/19 with item ID m[redacted]7. Initially, I left a positive review as they seemed genuine in a real beats case. However, I noticed they began losing battery quickly. Concerned, I took them to Apple on 5/11/19, only to discover the serial number on both the headphones and packaging were fake. I attempted to buy an iPhone 8 Plus from seller Faaaeryl on Mercari. After asking a few questions which she answered, I proceeded to checkout and made the payment. I received a confirmation email from Mercari mentioning the seller had 3 days to ship the item. When I inquired about shipping, she claimed her card was not working and suggested we do the transaction on Facebook instead. I tried to cancel the payment on Mercari but was unable to do so immediately. Faaaeryl was impolite and showed attitude towards me, even mistakenly referring to me as "him" multiple times. When I sought clarification on payment, she responded rudely by saying "can't you read?" while mentioning her card issues. I am unsure how to proceed in this situation.

I recently joined Mercari and was excited to receive a free gift for listing my first few items for sale. I came across a Men's Casio watch listed for $20, placed my order, and waited for it to arrive. Unfortunately, the package arrived two days late and was poorly secured with only two pieces of Scotch tape on the box flaps. The packaging looked extremely shoddy, and to my dismay, instead of the watch, I received a worthless baseball card. When I tried to process a return, I was informed that it was not eligible. I hope this denial isn't because the item was part of a promotion. Without the incentive, I wouldn't have listed items on the platform. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with this experience.

I am experiencing difficulty selling my Betsey Johnson jewelry with tags due to another seller's lower prices causing my items not to be visible to potential buyers. Despite tagging my items clearly as Betsey Johnson, around [redacted] identical pieces are listed on the site. An "edit item" tag is mistakenly showing up on my listings, even on non-Betsey Johnson jewelry, hindering sales. It is unfair for others to impede my sales due to their pricing strategies. I purchased an item from your app on April 15th. The headphones I received seemed brand new but had a defective power button that prevents them from turning off or connecting to Bluetooth. Apple attempted to fix them but found there were too many previous repairs registered to the serial number. I took them back within a month of purchase on May 10th. Last October, I sold a brand new box of various Michael Jordan items to a person named Booker in Chicago. He received the items but didn't pay me for them. Instead, he kept three shirts, two hats, a Chicago Bulls jacket, and a sweatshirt. He also didn't return some items and Mercari couldn't confirm delivery. I feel I was scammed and lost my valuable Michael Jordan collection. I believe I should still be compensated for this unfair situation where he essentially got everything for free.

Encountering sellers who exhibit professionalism and kindness is a relief. Unfortunately, the fear of receiving a negative response from sellers makes me hesitant and uncomfortable when reaching out to them. A simple, polite decline or a firm price statement would be much more appreciated than rudeness. It would be great to see improvements in seller behavior on the platform, especially considering I myself value respectful communication with customers in my business dealings. I received the incorrect item in the mail and requested a refund for the Anastasia Dip Brow from PR12 that I never received. Despite reaching out multiple times to the seller with no response except for acknowledging a mixup, I did not hear back about receiving the correct item. I mentioned canceling the claim, but still got no reply. As I was not prepared to return an item I didn't intend to buy, especially without the proper address and not wanting to incur shipping costs, I couldn't immediately comply. When they eventually requested the item back, I was away and couldn't meet the deadline. I informed them that I would return it as soon as possible, as I received the incorrect "Herp Erase" supplements instead. The funds were released and the refund canceled unfairly, leaving me out of pocket for an item I never received due to the seller's mistake. It's frustrating that despite the seller knowing my situation and their error, they still profited without sending the right product. Their lack of communication and understanding has caused me unnecessary financial loss and inconvenience.
