I'm experiencing issues with a Meetup group. I contacted them to report canceled events and they accused me of being a problem publicly. I demanded a retraction, but they reported me for allegedly stalking. I'm trying to defend myself, but I've been blocked from the group. Their recent response from Sandie implied I'm causing panic and stalking, highlighting that I have not reported their club before and have had conflicts with other groups. Despite their reassurance, their statement about no harm being done is concerning as people have died. I go by the profile Rose V. on Meetup, where you can find details of the conversations in the Home Show & Car Show events in March along with the private message I mentioned.

This morning, I attempted to access my Meetup account to engage with a member of my Knoxville Area InStep for Life Walking Group and discovered that my account was disabled due to alleged "Spam or Inappropriate Behavior." Our group had been discussing the impact of the coronavirus on our meetups, but I did not engage in any spam or inappropriate actions. The only thing I can recall is sharing a website link that provides daily coronavirus updates. Following the recommendation, I visited the Help Center and submitted a ticket at 9:30 a.m. requesting the reactivation of my account. Although I promptly received an automated confirmation email, as of almost 2:00 p.m., there has been no response to my ticket. I am uncertain of the typical response time or if a response will be provided. My request to the Meetup Help Center is to address my ticket promptly and reinstate my account.

Hello, I'm John Murphy. I am experiencing an issue where the Meetup app is not displaying new events when I check the notifications tab. Despite setting everything correctly, the app only shows events from 17 hours ago, not the most recent ones. I am missing out on several new events due to this problem. I want to make everyone aware of a man named Greg V. He frequents various dating sites, often without a profile picture. He has been spotted on Match and Meetville using both his real information and fake accounts. Greg is a sex addict who uses dating platforms, chat rooms, and video chatting apps to interact with women. He manipulates women into sending him photos using text and burner number apps, typically targeting those between 18 and 25 years old. Despite being a 40-year-old man with a 17-year-old daughter and a 23-year-old son, he uses deceptive tactics to engage with unsuspecting individuals. Greg presents himself as sweet and romantic, sharing stories about his past relationships to gain sympathy before initiating sexting exchanges. He sends misleading photos and lies about his identity and age before disappearing once exposed. It's important to take action against individuals like Greg to protect others. Hello, I am James T., a long-time member of the Professionally Speaking Singles Toastmasters Meetup Group (PSST) since [redacted]. Recently, our Meetup account was compromised by an individual using the name "Paul Mitchel." This person has taken over our group, renaming it to "Texas Professional Social Singles" and making himself the sole administrator. To address this issue, we have created a new Meetup group with the same name, but we are struggling to regain our previous membership of over [redacted] contacts. Currently, our new group has less than 50 contacts. This situation has not only caused us difficulties in attracting new members but also raises concerns about potential malicious intent from "Paul." Hello, I have a concern regarding my recently created group, Dazzling Divas of Ajax-Pickering-Whitby-Oshawa. Despite receiving an email that it has been announced and is ready to accept members, individuals from my previous group, Durham Ladies Friendship Circle, residing in the same areas, have not received any notification through email or meetup.com. I had to proactively share the link with them for joining. If my group will not be officially announced to the wider audience, there seems to be little purpose in maintaining it, as many women in the region were anticipating an invitation through meetup.com. It is crucial post-covid for women to have opportunities to socialize, even with social distancing measures in place. I am struggling to locate the cancellation option for my Meetup subscription on the organizer page, despite following the provided directions. Also, the phone number listed on my Discover bill appears to be invalid. I am an organizer for the Grand Rapids Harmonica Club in Grand Rapids, MI. Please promptly cancel my subscription; if not, I will be forced to dispute the charge on my Discover account in November. I hope to resolve this matter without resorting to legal action.

I recently joined the WNY golf meetup and was looking forward to attending an event this Saturday. However, I received an email today from one of the organizers expelling me from the group based on another member's request, who happens to be an ex-boyfriend causing issues. I feel this situation is unfair and would like to request that this group be banned from your program. Here is an excerpt from the email I received today: "Hello Sue, Unfortunately, due to a current member's discomfort with your attendance, I must remove you from our group for now. I apologize for this action, but it is to maintain harmony within our group. You may be allowed back in the future if circumstances change. Please know that this decision is not personal." -MIke C.

As the organizer for Vienna Reiki Classes and Shares Meetup group, I encountered difficulties accessing our recent Zoom events set up by Meetup. During the August 30th event, both myself and attendees received "Invalid Meeting ID" errors. In our most recent meet on September 13th, only one member successfully joined using the provided link, while the rest faced the same issue. With an upcoming event on September 27th, I seek clarification on why the Meeting ID is being invalidated. I wonder if sharing the link prior to the August 30th event caused this issue as I usually directly type the Zoom link when setting up meetings without encountering problems. Can the problem be due to accessing the meeting via my personal Zoom account? I hope to resolve this to prevent further "Invalid Meeting ID" errors. Thank you.

I am trying to update my Meetup account email from [redacted] to [redacted] However, I keep receiving an error message stating that my Gmail account is invalid, even though I have had it for 10 years. I need to change it as my Yahoo email will no longer forward emails to my Gmail. Do I also need to change my password when updating my email? I do not use Yahoo anymore. I encountered an error as I cancelled my Meetup subscription and found out there seems to be a duplicate account causing £10.99 to be deducted from my account. As I am currently unemployed due to Covid-19, this money is crucial to me. I closed my group and no longer use Meetup, so I would appreciate a swift resolution to this issue to prevent further deductions next month. Your prompt attention to this matter is highly valued. I'm James Wiley. I use the Android app effortlessly. However, signing in on my desktop involves repetitive steps along with "I'm not a robot" verification. Upon choosing to sign in with Google, only two groups are displayed, suggesting two accounts tied to different emails. Due to Covid-19, we have transitioned to virtual meetings, which have been positive for us compared to in-person meetings. When the situation improves, we are curious about the future of virtual meetings in your plans. We are open to a mix of virtual and in-person meetings, all-virtual, or all live, but we hope that you won't mandate all meetings to be in person. Also, if we opt for MeetupPro, we would like to know the pricing details for each meetup. Initially, we are looking to host two meetups, one in Minnesota and one in California. Hello, we enrolled in a 6-month trial period with Meetup under my organization, Skowhegan Outdoors (an initiative of Main Street Skowhegan) in June. Although we anticipated using Meetup more frequently, as a small non-profit affected by budget constraints from COVID, we lacked staff to maintain the account, resulting in it going unused. Recently, I was notified about our subscription renewal. We are seeking to cancel this subscription and our Meetup account due to budget limitations that prevent us from committing to another six months. I regret not catching this charge earlier. I've been part of Christian Singles of South East Wisconsin. Recently, I couldn't RSVP to an event because the description was only visible to members, even though I am a member. I've tried to join the group again, but the organizer told me to delete the requests because I am already a member. However, the site keeps saying I need to be a member. I enjoy being part of this group, and the organizers are supportive of me staying involved!
