I need to step down as the organizer of my meetup. I have found two people willing to take over. Can there be two organizers, or is it limited to just one person? Also, if two organizers from different parts of the state are possible, could you list two geographical areas? Your prompt response is highly appreciated as this transition needs to happen quickly. Thank you in advance.

Hello! I am a co-organizer for the Boulder Ski Club and Boulder Social Hikers. I previously reached out regarding a problematic member, Patty Sunfield, who I banned from attending our events. Despite this, she keeps registering and causing disruptions. I have reported the issue, but no action has been taken. Could you please remove her from both groups? I have politely asked for her cooperation, but she persists in being disrespectful. Thanks!

I attended my second event last night hosted by Jeff. While I don't have his last name, it took place in Walpole on Route 1 (Providence Highway) from 6-9 p.m. After Jeff left around 8 p.m., several group members stayed and chatted. Unfortunately, the general consensus among us was negative. Many of us found Jeff to be rude, lacking basic social skills, and untruthful. He seemed more focused on his flyers than engaging with attendees. Jeff's behavior was disappointing, and myself and at least four others do not plan to attend any future events he hosts. We were hoping for inspiration or valuable insights but instead felt he was only interested in recruitment with no success. I believe it would be best to find a different host for future events. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Jeff Kosmenko

I recently discovered that my Meetup account has been disabled for reasons related to spam or inappropriate behavior. I am puzzled by this action since I believe I have not engaged in any such misconduct. The only incident I can recall is my attempted responses to my Meetup group host after encountering technical difficulties on November 2nd. Despite multiple efforts to submit a message due to an error message indicating it was not going through, I wonder if Meetup received all my attempts. I feel unfairly penalized for this issue, which was beyond my control. Could you please contact me at [redacted] promptly to address this matter? I am concerned about being removed from my group as a result of this. I am resubmitting this request to reactivate my account, providing further clarification that was missing in my initial communication.

I need to cancel my Meetup account before the next billing cycle. Despite multiple password reset attempts, I haven't received any communication from Meetup. I am unable to find a way to contact their support team for help. This situation is quite frustrating, and I feel like I'm being taken advantage of just to benefit WeWork financially. Kindly send an email to my enduring email address: [redacted] I will not allow any further billing on my account unless I can successfully cancel it.

I joined BDH Hiking in Wilkes-Barre and shortly after, I received a message from someone named Bridget. After exchanging a few messages, it turned out that the person claiming to be a beautiful woman member was actually a different individual, a 60ish male named Frank. Despite informing the leader and the site owner, Jerry Hook, about this issue, Frank is still visible on the site and remains a member. I previously reached out with this concern but no action has been taken. My contact information is [redacted] and email is [redacted]

We have two events coming up on Meetup: "Important Conversations" and "Spiritual Reflection." As a nonprofit, we never sell tickets or charge for attendance. Could you kindly assist with the following: 1. Do we need to pay for using or renewing our Meetup subscription to promote our events? 2. Can Meetup refund our subscription if needed while still allowing us to use the platform? 3. If not, is there a way to renew our subscription for free? Reach us at: [redacted]

We have two events coming up on Meetup: “Important Conversations” and “Spiritual Reflections.” As a nonprofit, we don’t sell tickets or charge attendees. We have some queries: - Do we need to pay to use Meetup to promote our events? - Can we get a refund on our subscription and still use Meetup? - If not, can we renew our subscription for free? Our email is may8927@gmail. We kindly request a refund on any previous subscription fees paid. Thank you.

I've created a new group and plan to charge for services rendered. Attendees are inquiring about payment methods. I noticed that WePay imposes a 7.5% fee on transactions. However, what's unclear is that Meetup appears to require an additional $5 monthly fee from group members just to participate in my group, and failing to pay results in removal from the group. This seems discouraging for newcomers. I seek guidance on how to establish the financial aspect of my group as it's not very clear from the available online resources. Thank you.

I attempted to rejoin a meetup group but was informed that I had been removed due to "inappropriate emails" I allegedly sent years ago. I have no recollection of such emails and wanted to see them for clarification. However, I was unable to message the organizer as I had also been blocked. I kindly request meetup.com to provide me with the details of these purported "inappropriate emails" so I can understand the situation better and avoid similar issues with other meetup groups. I have struggled for hours to find a way to communicate with a meetup.com representative about this matter. Could someone from gethuman.com assist me with resolving this issue? Thank you very much! - Adela

I encountered an issue when attempting to upgrade my subscription to a 6 month plan after my 1 month subscription expired. Despite my efforts on the website, the system did not permit the change. Following my outreach via email and the website, "Nicholas PH" requested a screenshot of the error message. I promptly shared the screenshots illustrating my failed attempts to switch plans, resulting in an error message and the inability to save the desired changes. Subsequently, I received an email from "Kate" implying potential cancellation if payment is not made. However, I have been trying to pay for the 6 month plan with no success. I am troubled by the recurring error message: "Sorry, an unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." Could someone please contact me to facilitate the subscription change to a 6 month plan, as I desire the associated discount over the 1 month plan? Kindly review my prior messages detailing the struggles encountered while attempting to upgrade online. Sincerely, Emily N. Request for Help # [redacted]

I've been charged $[redacted].87 on December 15th annually for a Meetup group I never used or posted for. The charge appears on my credit card as "Meetup Org Sub 6M." I started this group some years ago related to the Conversation Project and End of Life decisions but never proceeded further with it. I would like to delete this account, receive a refund for the recent December 15, [redacted] payment, and permanently close the group. My details are as follows: Name: Irene M Hubbard Address: [redacted] Woodbridge Drive, East Greenwich, RI [redacted] Email: [redacted] I would greatly appreciate a swift resolution to this issue, as I have been erroneously billed for the past three years. Thank you.

I have been waiting for Meetup support to respond to my tickets. They sent two messages since last Saturday with a generic "we have your ticket and someone will be in touch soon." I cannot access my account, and I'm still waiting for assistance. I have been a member for a while and never had this issue before. It seems that the business being sold to WeWork has led to significant changes that are not helping the members in this situation. I have replied to their "we've got your ticket" emails twice with no response. In the meantime, I am unable to access my groups. I explained that I had trouble composing a message to a member that may have triggered their system. I am unsure what else to do to grab their attention. :(

I am having trouble uploading a photo when signing up for a group. After selecting a 57K photo and clicking 'Open', the upload circle spins but the photo doesn't appear. The signup process stalls, preventing completion. Despite trying different browsers and clearing cache, the issue persists. I have attempted troubleshooting with the meetup group administrator for two days without success. The group in question is the "Newmarket Zoomers Cycling Group."

After an unsettling encounter, I decided to close my account due to lack of support as a disabled "leader" within the group. I suspect one member may be a Narcissist, creating a challenging dynamic. I promptly informed the group, NPD Survivors (ideally in stage 4), of my decision within the specified timeframe. Given the circumstances, the $75.00 fee holds significant value for me. Can I request a refund? I made it clear that I wished for a full $75.00 refund and proposed the possibility of rejoining as an ORGANIZER once their APP/software improved, with a complimentary one-year membership. It seems MeetUp org needs to address several issues for future success.

I closed the account after a strange meeting. I later realized they doubted a disabled "leader." I think one member is a Narcissist, making it tough. I clearly said I was leaving the NPD Survivors group within the given time frame. $75.00 is important to me now. Can I get a refund? I'm Kirstin S., I paid with a Visa ending in [redacted] from a US bank. Please refund the money. If sending a check, email me for my address.

I have been a member of the "Friendly, Fun Girlfriends of Westchester" meetup group for 4 years. I have a legal disability, and the group now has a new manager. Despite no prior complaints about my behavior, the new organizer contacted me via text on January 26 to inform me that my membership was being revoked, citing various reasons that appear to be based on discrimination due to my physical limitations. I am seeking guidance on how to report this incident to Meetup.com. My name is Deborah Berni, and I can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you.

I am a disabled individual who was trying to assist an elderly woman in setting up a women's book club meetup. Due to confusion and errors, her draft was mistakenly created on my Meetup account, resulting in charges for a service we never used. I have been unemployed since 9/[redacted] due to a neurological injury, and the recurring billing went unnoticed due to my situation. I have been charged $[redacted].04, which I cannot afford. I kindly request a refund considering my circumstances and the fact that the service was never utilized. Please refund the full amount. Mary Clare, whose email is [redacted], asked for my help, and we both were unaware that the account setup was completed on my profile instead of hers. Due to my limitations, I haven't been able to review my bank statements. If a refund is not possible, it will greatly impact me. The service was never used, and I am on the verge of losing my housing. Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

Since [redacted], I have been managing the Cumbria Hiking, Biking, and Socialising Meet-up group and implemented member dues successfully. However, starting February 5th, members have been unable to make payments as the PayPal link no longer redirects to the correct page. Despite no changes made, the link now leads to a non-functional page instead of the PayPal transaction screen. I have attached screenshots for reference: 1. Displays the group with the problematic link on the left side. 2. Shows the page the link currently directs to, rendering it unusable. 3. Compares my group's link with another group’s functional link. 4. Illustrates the PayPal payment page my group used to access until February 6th. I am unsure if I am using an outdated template or software version. Can anyone assist in resolving this issue? Your help is greatly appreciated.
