Good morning, my name is Luis R. I hold a New York driver's license with the number [redacted] [redacted] [redacted], which expires on 07/21/[redacted]. My date of birth is 07/21/[redacted]. I renewed my license in July [redacted], and during that process, there was a hold placed by the State of Massachusetts on my license. After numerous discussions with the Massachusetts DMV, we were able to resolve the issue. I have recently relocated to Bethpage, NY, and when I visited my local DMV to update my address, I was informed of another hold placed by the Massachusetts DMV on my license. I have been unsuccessful in reaching anyone at the Massachusetts DMV to address this issue. It would be greatly appreciated if someone from the Massachusetts DMV could reach out to me at [redacted]. Thank you.

I recently had a hearing about two weeks ago concerning registering my new car with an Intoxalock device. After following all the requirements from the first hearing, I was informed at another hearing that I was cleared to register my vehicle. However, when the dealership tried to register the car on 1/4/[redacted], they were told it was rejected. I have now scheduled another hearing for 1/14/[redacted] at 3 pm. I am confused as to why the system still shows that I am not cleared, despite what was told to me by the last hearing officer. The dealership is willing to assist in any way they can. I am concerned about the upcoming hearing on 1/14/[redacted] and would appreciate any help or clarification on why this situation is occurring.

Last March, I misplaced my wallet containing my license in Florida. The Registry promptly issued me a replacement. Surprisingly, in August, my wallet was returned to me, and I opted to use my original license, discarding the replacement. However, this month, when I presented the license for age verification to buy wine, I was informed that it had expired on my birthday, 12/19/[redacted]. Currently residing in Naples, Florida until May, I seek a way to renew my license temporarily until then or even extend it permanently without the need to visit a Registry Office immediately. I plan to visit the office in May.

I recently received a letter saying my registration was suspended by the RMV due to a payment issue with a title transaction. I initially sent a check with a paper form and was later asked to resend the same form with a new check. As the process took weeks, I canceled the second check after the transaction was completed. Now, the RMV is asking for the check amount, a "payment rejected fee," and a reinstatement fee. Despite no longer owning a vehicle in MA and having moved out of state, my driving privileges in MA are suspended until this is resolved. I need assistance with this matter as soon as possible.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I recently had my car registration revoked due to expired insurance. I now have a new insurance policy and am looking to reinstate my registration. Could you please clarify if I can submit the proof of insurance via email for reinstatement, or if I need to visit the RMV in person? If email is an option, I would appreciate information on where to send the insurance document.
Unfortunately, my car was towed for lack of insurance and registration, and I am incurring daily fees for storage. I am eager to resolve this swiftly to avoid excessive charges. Being new to this state, I am still acquainting myself with the driving regulations in MA. I would greatly value your assistance in this matter. Thank you for your support.
Warm regards,
R.M.

Since [redacted], I've worked in both MA and NY, but recently quit my jobs in both states. I'll be moving to Alabama next month with my son and relatives. While attempting to renew my driver's license, I discovered it was expired, leading me to apply for a new one in NY. They require an abstract of my driving record, which I'm fine with. I need the abstract urgently to be able to rent a car as my own vehicle is no longer roadworthy. I also need to cancel the insurance on my current car and will soon be searching for a new one. Can you please email me a copy of my driving abstract and send a hard copy as well? I'm willing to pay the fee promptly. You can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] for payment. My MA address is 58 Paul Bunker Drive, Taunton, MA [redacted], and my NY address is 24 Russell Court, New York, [redacted], where I'll be for a few weeks before finalizing my move.

My name is Charles Parker. I reside in Plainville, MA, and I regained my license in October [redacted] after a two-year period without it. I rely on my license for my job, and recently I received a letter stating that my license may be suspended if I don't speak with an RMV officer. Despite my efforts, including calls and a visit to the Plainville police department, I am still unclear about the situation. I received another letter now setting the suspension date for Thursday, April 29, [redacted]. The correspondence seems to mention both a duplicate copy and suspension, leaving me confused. I seek guidance on how to prevent the license suspension. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

After resolving a previous Massachusetts suspension, I fulfilled all requirements and fees. Upon moving to Florida, I sought a Florida driver's license, but Massachusetts hasn't removed my name from the national drivers registry. Attempts to contact Massachusetts RMV have been unsuccessful. How can I remedy this? I possess clearance documents, and my RMV account shows no alerts. Why does my name persist on the national drivers registry despite meeting all obligations?

I am struggling to reach an RMV agent to inquire about my wife’s disabled placard. It is a 5-year placard that was extended from 2 years during our last renewal. The RMV website states that a renewal would automatically be dispatched to permanent placard holders two weeks before expiration. However, I am unsure if her placard is considered permanent or temporary as there seems to be some confusion regarding long-term temporary placards. I am worried about the expiration on June 30 if it doesn't auto-renew as per the website. It would be reassuring to speak with an agent to clarify this issue, especially since July and August are challenging months due to health concerns.

During my visits to the Milford RMV on Monday and Tuesday, I interacted with representatives from both the Milford and Boston offices. I was assured that a call from the Boston office would be made to address and resolve issues related to a confirmed appointment date that couldn't be accommodated at the Milford RMV, despite being scheduled by the system. The Boston office had set up a call for today at 10 AM, accommodating my schedule due to previously scheduled hospital appointments. Despite rearranging my medical appointments, the call has not come through as promised. I am hopeful to receive a prompt call back from the office at my phone number [redacted] to fulfill the commitments made by the RMV representatives.

I recently sold my RV and canceled its registration. I received an email confirming the cancellation. I use an app to track my incoming mail daily, and I noticed a letter from the RMV didn't arrive. After speaking with the post office, they couldn't locate it. It has been three days, and I still haven't received the letter, so I kindly request a resend. My name is Victor Johnston, and I reside at 82 Chapel St. in Holden, MA [redacted]. You can reach me at [redacted].

I recently received a letter from the RMV indicating that our vehicle, VIN 1C6RR7PT1DS709091, has no liability insurance. We switched from Arbella to Farmers Insurance, and our current policy number with Farmers is A[redacted]66 0. The letter from the RMV was dated 7/25/22 but only arrived on 8/4/22, which is also the date mentioned for a potential registration suspension. I believe there is a misunderstanding as we are indeed insured with Farmers. Farmers Insurance has confirmed our coverage and is working to send the proof electronically. I've made a copy of the insurance proof to keep in the vehicle. I'm reaching out to ensure our registration remains active. Kindly investigate the situation and advise on any necessary steps. Thank you for your assistance. - P. Lozzi

To the Massachusetts RMV,
I am reaching out regarding my son, Jeffrey H. Stevens, who is scheduled for release from the Billerica House of Corrections on September 2, [redacted]. His Massachusetts driver's license, ending in [redacted], expired earlier this year. I am looking to expedite the process of obtaining a new MA driver's license for him before his release to comply with the Woburn District Court probation office requirements.
If possible, I would also like to inquire about obtaining a Real ID simultaneously. Jeffrey does not have a permanent residence at the moment, but I am willing to use our address at 44 Vine Street, Winchester, MA [redacted] as his temporary address for now.
As per the probation order, he must stay outside the Town of Winchester and Burlington but within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I would appreciate any assistance in facilitating the license renewal before September 2. Please advise if an in-person visit to the RMV or AAA is necessary in this process. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
John Stevens [redacted]

I arrived at my local registry office in Southbridge, MA, an hour before opening. Despite having no appointment, staff refused to serve me after all scheduled appointments were completed. I pointed out that there are no laws requiring appointments for service, but the employee insisted otherwise due to staffing issues. I, a disabled American veteran, prefer traditional service over technology. The unhelpful attitude extended to the security guard who even removed his name tag when I sought to make a complaint. I intend to contact the Attorney General, state representative, and senator, and request video footage through a freedom of information request to address the poor treatment. Taxpayers deserve respect, and state employees should not abuse their positions. It's important for someone to follow up on this matter.

My license was suspended in [redacted] due to drug offenses for three years. In [redacted], I noticed it had been suspended indefinitely without explanation. Despite multiple attempts, I have been unsuccessful in reinstating my license. Driving is a privilege, and at 62 years old, I have only held a license for 2-3 years in total. Living in Georgia since [redacted], I rely on driving for essential tasks like doctor appointments and groceries. I kindly request Massachusetts to allow me to regain my license and provide guidance on the necessary steps to achieve this. I understand I need to schedule a hearing for reinstatement and seek assistance in returning to good standing with the RMV in Massachusetts. Thank you in advance, Jack P., born on 04-28-[redacted], email: [redacted], address: [redacted] North Ave N.E. Unit A204, Atlanta, Georgia [redacted].

I was involved in an accident where my parked car got hit by another driver. My vehicle, registered in my name as Sandra Christison, and the plate number is 6GT175. I bought a new car and was informed by the dealership that I needed a new plate. I tried to cancel the plates for 6GT175 on the MA RMV website, but it showed the plate was not active. I need to prove to the City of Boston that no further excise tax bill should be sent for 6GT175. I didn't receive a return plate receipt. Can you please advise me on how to proceed? Thank you, Sandra Christison

I recently relocated from NH to MA, and due to being hospitalized long term and Covid restrictions, I was unable to transfer my expired NH license before it lapsed on 8/17/21. Upon attempting to visit the Lowell MA RMV office without an appointment, I was turned away. When I tried to schedule one online, I was informed I had to retake my permit and road test. However, when I tried to book the permit test, I could only find appointments in North Adams MA and Attleboro MA, both of which are quite far from my location. I wanted to clarify if this is the only option available for permit testing as it has been quite discouraging dealing with these challenges. I am eager to regain my driving privileges as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Ashley B.

I am seeking assistance for my girlfriend as we are experiencing difficulties registering a vehicle we purchased. The title we received had a section checked off incorrectly, requiring a notarized affidavit. We discovered the seller did not actually sign the title and engaged in title jumping. Despite our efforts, we were unable to locate the individuals listed on the title, and our attempts to visit the address provided were unsuccessful. We are unsure how to proceed with registering her first vehicle given this complicated situation, and I feel like I am running out of options.

I am in a challenging situation. I tried to renew my driver's license at AAA before November 21, [redacted]. Despite having all necessary documents, including my birth certificate from a base hospital in Japan where I was born to a veteran, they rejected it. They gave me a 60-day extension to obtain the correct documents. I contacted the embassies in Japan, and they redirected me to the State Department for a Consular Report Of Birth Abroad. I have sent all required documents to them but haven't received a response. Unfortunately, my mother passed away on December 13th, leaving me to handle her affairs in CT. As my only form of ID, my original Japanese passport would expire on Jan. 23rd. I am uncertain about what steps to take next. I am hoping for assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for your consideration. Initials: K.H.

I have been attempting to schedule a hearing for one of my residents, Mr. Warren Jeffrey, for the past three weeks. Despite trying to do so over the phone, the system insists that we schedule the appointment online. Unfortunately, Mr. Jeffrey does not have access to the phone number listed in the system. We tried twice to reset his information to access his "myRMV" account, but only got a response after the second attempt, informing us that the information provided could not be verified. Contacting [redacted] did not lead to a resolution as we were unable to speak with a representative. It is crucial for Mr. Jeffrey to book the hearing appointment online, as advised at the RMV in person, yet this has proven to be a challenging task. I am the Supportive Services Coordinator at 10 Church St. Auburn, MA, working to assist Mr. Jeffrey in resolving this issue.
