Hello, I am reaching out for advice on a visa issue I encountered during a recent trip. I hold a South African passport and acquired a Schengen visa through the Italian consulate in Wellington, NZ. The visa allows for 2 entries in the Schengen area and is valid from 25/6/23-19/7/23. Upon arriving in Rome on 26 June, I proceeded to visit Sofia, Bulgaria, and Cluj, Romania. Unfortunately, when trying to board a flight from Cluj-Napoca to Venice with Lufthansa, I was informed my visa was not valid for entry into Italy and was denied boarding. Despite explaining the situation to the airline staff and mentioning that Bulgaria is not yet part of the Schengen Area, they were uncooperative. I am looking to buy a Lufthansa ticket from Istanbul to Vancouver. The flight has a layover at Frankfurt airport. I made a reservation with Air Canada, but apparently, Lufthansa is the airline I will be using. The booking number is V6ZZ68 for August 14, and it's for Sandra and Leonard Desser. Unfortunately, I need to cancel our trip due to a serious illness. I'm hoping to find out if it's possible to get a refund or a travel voucher for a future booking. Initially, I booked through Booking.com, but now it seems that eTravel is managing the reservation and they directed me to contact them in Sweden or Tel Aviv. I traveled to Munich with a connecting flight to Athens. Unfortunately, my luggage didn't arrive in Athens with me. I've been in Greece for four days without my bag, including essential medication and heirlooms needed for my niece's upcoming baptism, which is in an hour. We've contacted all relevant parties in Thessaloniki where we are staying until Monday but have been unable to reach anyone at Athens airport. Both Lufthansa and Gold Air luggage company have denied responsibility. I urgently require assistance in getting my bag today as being without it for four days has been incredibly challenging. My flight to Dallas originally scheduled for July 29 has been rescheduled for August 1, but I haven't received the updated itinerary. My upcoming flight to Paris is at 7:05 am with flight number LH1026, and the connecting flight from Paris to Dallas on August 1 is at 10:20 am with flight number AF146. I'm unable to check in on the Lufthansa app or obtain the boarding passes. While I can see the departure time for the flight to Paris, I'm still unable to get the boarding passes, and the flight from Paris to Dallas is not showing up. I've been stranded for three days and urgently need assistance on how to check in and obtain my boarding passes.

I want to warn others about my terrible experiences with Lufthansa. On two separate occasions, I had the worst time. The first time, my flight was canceled abruptly, and I was denied entry at 2 am without any assistance. The staff was very rude. The second time, I had to cancel within 24 hours due to a changed travel plan. Trying to get a refund for a fully refundable ticket has been a nightmare. Despite numerous calls, chats, and emails, there is still no acknowledgment or resolution. I am disappointed with this international carrier and desperate to get my refund to clear my credit card bills. It has been a frustrating and disappointing experience.

Hello, I wanted to bring to your attention an issue regarding reservation JJD9CM for our return from Nouméa on June 28, [redacted]. We had paid €[redacted] (2x €[redacted]) for seats with extra legroom on flight LX161 from Tokyo to Zurich. However, upon boarding, we discovered that the seats we were assigned did not match the paid-for extra legroom seats. Despite informing the chief of the cabin, the flight was full, and we were unable to be reassigned to the correct seats. The cabin attendant documented the issue in the flight report forms. Upon returning from Nouméa on 28/06/22, with reservation JJD9CM, we had booked and paid €[redacted] (2x€[redacted]) for seats with extra legroom on flight LX161 from Tokyo to Zurich. However, upon boarding, we discovered that the assigned seats did not match the paid extra legroom benefit. Despite informing the chief of the cabin, due to a full flight, we couldn't be reassigned seats. The cabin crew documented the issue for you. Hello, Last Monday, on July 31st, I flew with Lufthansa from Munich to Toulouse (LH2220, departure time 4:10 pm). I was seated in seat 11D and there was a woman seated next to me in seat 11C with whom I chatted a bit during the flight. Unfortunately, we couldn't properly say goodbye upon arrival because her luggage was left behind at the Munich airport and she had to attend to it urgently. Booking Reference: 2ROG3T and 2ROCLT (Reservations under last name GHIO) I paid $23 each for our seats on November 30th. However, since June 1st, our paid seats have been consistently removed from the system every 72 hours without any changes to equipment or schedule. Despite calling 15 times since June 1st to rebook, I keep receiving a new receipt number for the seats and the issue persists. I have been unable to escalate the matter to management or corporate for a resolution. The support from tech/customer service has not been effective. This trip is meant to celebrate our 40th anniversary but has turned into a nightmare. I am seeking assistance to resolve this ongoing problem.

Upon returning to Tampa airport from FCO airport in Rome via Frankfurt, Germany on August 16th, [redacted], we encountered an issue with our baggage. After flying business class, we were informed that approximately 60 bags, including ours and my sister and her husband's, were left in Frankfurt. Despite providing our baggage numbers and contact information to the agent, we have not received any updates or the promised email with details about the delivery. As we are heading home to Michigan on August 19th, our bags containing the following tags remain missing: LH748434, LH748370, LH748267, LH748261. The passengers affected are Yanni Chen, Richard Hartman, Brandon Hartman, Alexander Hartman, Susan Scioli, and Allen Scioli. My 87-year-old mother traveling from South Africa to Toulouse via Frankfurt experienced shocking service with Lufthansa. The stewardess declined to help with cabin luggage, multiple flights were delayed, one was even canceled. On top of this, pre-booked assisted services were missing at two terminals, causing further inconvenience. When the flight was canceled, accommodation was not provided. Additionally, the new boarding cards were disorganized, with the dates of the flights out of order. Despite assurances from customer care that they would cover the accommodation and provide €[redacted] for the troubles, the promised amount has not been received even after two weeks, and attempts to contact them have gone unanswered.

Hello! I am looking to book a flight from Atlanta, GA to Tirana at the end of October with a layover in Frankfurt. I am moving to Albania and need information on booking passage for my 14 lb dog either as checked baggage or cargo. I have never done this before and want to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for my 13-year-old shih-poo. Dear Customer Service, I recently received a notification from your company about my flight being disconnected and requiring rebooking. Interestingly, other passengers on the same itinerary as me, specifically those seated behind me on LH1135, were able to continue their journey on flight LH796 without having to switch to LH7014. This change caused a delay of one additional day in Europe, impacting my ability to catch a subsequent flight from Zhuhai, China to Hainan, China on August 17, [redacted].
