I recently reset my phone, which caused my Instagram ID to be deleted. Now, I'm trying to log in but I keep receiving a message prompting me to check my email ID for the Instagram link, which I am not receiving. Hello, my name is Deloris N. I saw a friend’s post on Instagram about investing in bitcoin: $[redacted] turned into $20,[redacted]. I contacted jane_rose_fx, who advised me to create an account and invest. After sending $58, I was instructed to make a video committing to invest $[redacted] more. When asked for the additional funds, citing confusion, I sensed it was a scam. Unfortunately, my Instagram account was hacked before I could report it. The scammers now demand money from me, my family, and friends, having also hacked my friend S. D.’s account. Unable to launch my tutoring business due to the hack, I’m sharing screenshots of interactions with the hacker and my friends to warn them. Dear Support, I deactivated my Instagram account about 3 months ago to take a break from social media. However, for the past month, I've been unable to access my account. When Instagram sends me codes via email or text, they don't work. I tried using backup codes, but they also failed. After submitting a problem request, I received two identical emails from Facebook support simultaneously. The first stated my account was disabled for not following the Terms of Use, even though I had deactivated it 2 months prior with no activity. The second email requested a photo of myself holding a handwritten code on a clean sheet of paper with my full name and username. I followed the instructions but received no response. Since early March [redacted], I have been unable to access my Instagram account and despite numerous attempts to recover it through reporting and emails to Instagram, I have had no success. The issue began when I tried to change my profile picture and was suddenly logged out after receiving an error message. When I tried to log back in, I was prompted for a confirmation code sent to my old Canadian phone number, which I no longer have access to as I now live in South Korea. Despite resetting my password at the suggestion of an Instagram service agent, the same code prompt persists. I discovered through email correspondence that my email address was deleted from my account before the problem occurred. I even tried the new video selfie verification feature, sending multiple attempts, but it wasn't confirmed. I am reaching out here in desperation as my Instagram account holds precious memories and connections from my time as an exchange student in Canada. I have a concern regarding reporting inappropriate content online. There is an individual posting hate speech, false information, and encouraging illegal activities. This person spreads a hostile message against men and white individuals on social media. They advocate for illegal actions, claiming it's acceptable if one doesn't get caught. I find it unacceptable for such content to remain online. On the contrary, another person who discusses societal issues factually is repeatedly blocked. It seems like factual discussions on uncomfortable topics are being targeted because they don't align with a certain audience's views. This bias is evident as extremist hate speech against an entire gender goes unpunished. Hate speech and extremism from any side should not be tolerated. Every individual engaging in such behavior should face consequences, regardless of their affiliations. I advocate for fair and proper enforcement of rules on social media platforms. Thank you.

Yesterday, I received an email from [redacted] stating that there was a login from a device in Basra, Iraq, which I didn't recognize. After being logged out of my account, I thought it might have been disabled, so I contacted Instagram. In the past, when this happened, Instagram would request specific information and a photo for verification. This time, they only asked for a code, which I provided along with a photo as requested. Unfortunately, Instagram replied that the image was not acceptable for verification. I resent the photo multiple times, but they have not responded in over 24 hours. I am unable to access my account and suspect it may have been hacked. I use the platform to connect with friends and share photos, so it is important for me to regain access. Any assistance in recovering my account would be greatly appreciated.

I am facing an issue while trying to log in to my Instagram account. When I try to sign in, I receive a message saying my account has been temporarily locked due to suspicious activity. My primary Instagram account used for business purposes has been compromised. The hackers altered my username, password, email, and phone number associated with the account. Disturbingly, I am receiving ransom emails at frequent intervals. I initially reported this security breach yesterday, but the perpetrators attempted to delete that reporting account as well. Fortunately, I managed to regain access to it, but it seems my previous report was lost in the process. This distressing situation began yesterday morning. I have provided screenshots as evidence of this incident. Urgently, I need assistance in reclaiming my account. (I believe, as it was saved on my phone due to memory lapse) Despite my numerous reports to Instagram, it appears that the issue has not been resolved. My account has been disabled, and I do not believe I violated any Community Guidelines. Two weeks ago, after being hacked, I recovered my account and changed my password immediately. However, it has been disabled again, and I am unsure of the reason. I have filled out several forms and followed all provided instructions, including sending various "code" photos back to Facebook in response to their emails. Despite this, the issue persists. I have received numerous requests from Facebook to send a selfie with a code written on a piece of paper, along with my full name and Instagram username. Although they sent a reset password link, I had already used it on July 3rd during the hacking incident. I am hoping that the necessary steps will be taken to restore my account and retrieve all the memories from years ago that are not backed up. Thank you, Mikaela.

I am unable to access my account, @charlyblacksecond. I had this account logged in on my phone, but when trying to log in from another phone, I forgot my password. I then linked my email to reset the password successfully. Later, I realized my phone number was not linked to the account. After updating the phone number, I accidentally confirmed the change to the wrong number, +[redacted]7, instead of [redacted]1. The confirmation code I received is [redacted].
