I have been experiencing long wait times when calling customer service, only to be transferred to unhelpful departments or automated messages. It has been frustrating trying to get replacement slats for my Hemnes daybed, purchased six years ago, as multiple slats have broken. The website does not list the slat system for this bed, and representatives mentioned I need to contact customer support for replacements. I recently received a defective dresser from IKEA that I am unable to assemble. Despite multiple attempts to reach customer service via phone, website, and Twitter, I have been unable to get through. The website only offers order cancellation forms, not returns, and the phone line is constantly busy. I am looking to return the item and receive a refund, as I am frustrated with the lack of support from IKEA.

We ordered two sets of "Billy" bookcases, and upon delivery, we discovered that three or four boxes were damaged. Unfortunately, we didn't receive a manifest or shipping receipt to help us identify which items were missing. The shipper only left a purple paper informing us that some items were damaged and not delivered. Our local deliverer advised contacting Ikea directly to address the situation. Despite encountering difficulties with Ikea's automated phone system and being informed they are busy, we've attempted to reach out through Twitter and Facebook for assistance.

Hello, Order number: [redacted]17 from July 06, [redacted]. I recently purchased several items, including an outdoor umbrella. Unfortunately, yesterday the umbrella broke and fell into the pool, narrowly missing my child. The lower cross pillars had rusted and turned into dust, hidden under the weight of the umbrella. Order number [redacted]. The desk was scheduled for delivery on Thursday, September 24th, by 4:30 PM. I stayed home all afternoon but did not receive any updates. I briefly stepped out and left a note, but missed the delivery. Despite attempts to contact the company, I have been on hold for over 30 minutes. I checked the order online and saw that the delivery had been rescheduled for nearly a month later, which is disappointing. It's frustrating to have to reschedule online myself. I'd like to make an online order but around half of the items are out of stock. I'm interested in the Ingatorp extendable table, 4 Ingolf chairs, 2 Ekolsund recliners, and a Vallentuna set (1 sleeper module, two storage modules, backrests for all 3 modules, and an armrest). Can I place a complete order, charge it to a new IKEA card, and wait for the backordered items? Dear Team, I hope this message finds you well. I had trouble finding a suitable email address and reaching the customer service line for an inquiry/complaint about my recent order. Can you please address this to the appropriate contact? My order number [redacted] was scheduled for delivery yesterday between 8am-8pm, with an email and phone call expected one hour before. Unfortunately, I did not receive any notifications. I got a call from the delivery person at 7:30am claiming to be at the property, which was 30 minutes earlier than the delivery window. I have the call log to support this. I urgently need my parcel today with no updates from Ikea regarding the failed delivery. I have been unable to reach the customer service line despite multiple attempts since yesterday. I am dissatisfied with the £39 delivery fee for the misplaced delivery time. I placed order number [redacted]18, but I have not received it. After tracking the shipment, I noticed that the package reached Eugene, then was mistakenly sent back to Troutdale, OR, and finally delivered to a store in Portland. Despite receiving notifications that the package has been delivered, I never received it. I have tried contacting both FedEx and Ikea for assistance to resolve this issue, but have faced challenges with ineffective customer service via phone and email. I am frustrated with the lack of communication and I am left with no option but to cancel the order that I have been eagerly waiting for nearly a month. The order consisted of two packages, with the first one arriving without any problems. I am disappointed that the second package, which contains the items I need the most, has not reached me as expected.

I made an online purchase on Ikea.com on 9/27, order number: [redacted]41. The delivery was on 9/28 but I received the wrong item. I ordered two LINNMON tabletops in "white/white stained oak effect" for $39.99 each, but received "light gray/white" tabletops priced at $32.99 each. I dislike the color and want to return them. The closest Ikea store is 53.6 miles away and I cannot transport the item myself, hence the initial online purchase with a $99 shipping fee. I placed an order for 2 Vittsjo shelf units on 9/29. Despite not selecting New York for pickup, I received a notification to collect the shelves there. I attempted to contact Ikea in MA via phone and email but have been unsuccessful for two days. Consequently, I chose to cancel my order and got two confirmation messages. Yet, another message stated the order couldn't be canceled. I'm unsure if the shelves are bound for NY or Cambridge, as intended. I purchased a Miller floor lamp on January 4, [redacted], for my disabled son in New York City. Unfortunately, last weekend it broke unexpectedly while my son was using it. The white plastic part where the bulb attaches to the pole is broken, causing the bulb and shade to hang to the side. The wiring is undamaged. I received the Vangsta table delivery I ordered and was given the incorrect item. The delivery was made to my building and left with the doorman instead of buzzing my apartment. Both the name and address were printed on the item, and drivers should confirm these details before dropping off large items. The last name matched mine, but the first name and address were completely different, located 14 miles away with a different spelling. It's frustrating that the driver didn't check this before the delivery. Trying to reach customer service has been challenging as it's hard to get through on the phone, there's no direct email contact, and no option for speaking to someone directly to resolve the issue. I paid an extra $49 for delivery considering the table's size and weight. How can I quickly resolve this? I purchased a set of 12 soft green dinner and salad plates along with cereal bowls from the IKEA store in Jacksonville, FL, last year. Unfortunately, they have not held up well and now look extremely worn out. The plates and bowls get marked easily, making them appear aged. I suspect the issue lies with the quality of the glaze used, as they were manufactured in Thailand. Although I no longer have the original receipt, I would like to find a solution to this problem. I have delayed addressing this matter due to family health issues and bereavement. I cannot use these dishes for guests because of their worn appearance. Dear Rebecca, I am writing to inform you that I disassembled the sofa as instructed by Miss Imogen over the phone on 25 September. Unfortunately, I do not have the original packaging as I did not anticipate returning it. Despite this inconvenience, I am returning the sofa due to its poor quality and lack of comfort. Ikea confirmed that the driver will collect it even without the original packaging. I will be out of the country from 12 October to attend to my ill mother, but my cousin will be available at the address for the collection on 22 October. I have made several calls to ensure everything is arranged for the collection day. Please honor the agreement made over the phone and on 25 September by Miss Imogen for the collection of the sofa on 22 October, even though it is not in its original packaging. I recently received a Billy bookcase delivery that was scheduled between 3-5pm, but unfortunately, the delivery did not arrive as planned despite multiple notifications. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact customer service, the delivery driver finally arrived at 9:30pm claiming to be downstairs, which turned out to be inaccurate. The communication issues persisted until we received the bookcase at 10pm. The poor service experienced does not align with the $49 delivery fee paid, and I am seeking a refund for the inconvenience caused.

I encountered an issue with a mattress and reached out to customer service. They noted down the receipt details and assured me that someone would reach out shortly. However, it has been weeks since then, and I have been unable to reach customer service, only getting a recording. The mattress, purchased in November [redacted], emits a strong odor that resembles a horse stable, making it impossible for me to sleep on it. I suspect it's off-gassing. The mattress is also quite heavy, so I need it to be picked up without any expense on my part due to its defectiveness. I kindly request Ikea to fulfill their promise and contact me to arrange the pick-up of the mattress, allowing me to replace it with one I can actually use. I have been dealing with customer service for over three weeks with no resolution. Despite being promised a replacement for my damaged item, nothing has been sent. I received an email from Ikea on September 14, [redacted], stating my order is in process with an estimated delivery date of September 30, [redacted]. Unfortunately, I have not yet received the item or any further updates from Ikea. The order status on the website still shows as processing, and when trying to call customer service, I cannot get through as the automated message indicates they are unable to take my call. Email inquiries are limited to order cancellations only. I would like to find a way to speak with a representative to obtain the current status of my order.
