Subject: Account Closure and Transponder Return Request
To the Account Department,
I, Timothy Prucha from Timothy Prucha Trucking, am seeking to return my two transponders, close my account, and discontinue services as I have switched to a carrier that provides this service. Kindly send the necessary forms and the address for returning the transponders. You may communicate with me through my email at [redacted]
Regarding the refund process for the closed account, I prefer the funds to be reversed to my credit card on file once you receive the transponders.
For any further correspondence, please feel free to contact me via phone or email. Thank you for your help with this matter.
Best regards,
Timothy Prucha

Ever since I got my Tesla Model S, I've been bombarded with letters for missing tolls. I end up going to the Ipass counter at Belvidere Oasis every three months to resolve this issue. My Tesla's windows block RF signals, making it hard for the toll booths to register my transponder. Despite the representative's help in crediting back overpaid amounts, I'm tired of these violation reports. My car has a registered license plate transponder, correctly placed according to the Oasis representative. I've even shown videos of inconsistent transponder readings at the Woodfield/Schaumburg plaza. While open tolling works, the plazas seem to struggle with reception. Can my plate be put on a special list to avoid this hassle every few months? I hope we can resolve this without the constant threat of full payment. I'm a frequent tollway user and just want things to run smoothly. Please, lower the price to match transponder customers, and reach out to discuss further assistance.

I had an unpaid toll on Thanksgiving (November 26th) at the SB Plaza 1 around 1:40pm, and returned around 8pm. We had cash, but the cash booth was closed. I got caught up in the work week aftermath, and now my husband is worried about fines, fees, and possible suspensions. I need this resolved right away. I work from 2:30pm-11pm, so time is tight. I've tried visiting the website and calling, but the system is down. Please assist me promptly.

I am encountering difficulties paying a substantial fine online. When I enter my plate number, the page goes blank and returns to the previous page. This situation is very confusing to me. Lately, my boyfriend underwent brain surgery and has been dealing with various complications during his extended hospital stay of almost six weeks at CDH in Winfield. I work night shifts in the ER at Palos Hospital. With the stress and chaos in my life, I am struggling to manage payments online, as the system erases my plate number, forcing me to start over. I am in desperate need of assistance. Thank you for understanding.
Best,
Amie L.

I believe there are several accounts linked to my transporter number. Payments are being deducted from my checking account to top up my iPads account. Simultaneously, I receive notifications about my expired credit card and a $38 balance sent to collections. Despite this, funds continue to be withdrawn from my bank account. Could someone please reach out to me to resolve this matter? I can be reached at the phone number ending in [redacted].

I traveled on your tollway last month. I believe it's worth paying the toll for the well-maintained roads. However, when I passed through the toll booths, there was no one present, and I was unsure what to do, especially as an out-of-state visitor during Covid-19. The $13.70 toll seems reasonable, but I was surprised by the $36.00 fees added for not paying on time. If I had known about the amount owed, I would have paid it promptly. It doesn't seem fair not to notify within the 14-day period, as receiving the bill with a [redacted]% fee increase after that time doesn't allow for timely payment. I received the bill just three days after it was sent out. I believe the same courtesy should have been extended when the original bill was issued. Thank you, Ken. Happy New Year.

Ever since my wife mentioned using the tollway from Indianapolis to St. Charles, IL, I've been regularly checking the illinoistollway website to pay the tolls. Unfortunately, the tolls never appeared on the site despite entering my license plate number and creating an online account. Even now, upon checking, there is no activity displayed for my license plate ID. I thought the state might be delayed in updating my account with the tolls for payment. However, I have now received an "Invoice for Missed Tolls" which includes a $57 fee in addition to the $27.30 we owe for the tolls. I am willing to pay the toll charges but frustrated by the extra fees given the ongoing issue with the online system not reflecting the tolls. Your assistance in clarifying this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have received an invoice for unpaid tolls on my license plate AIH307 (Invoice VN[redacted]). These tolls were incurred by my wife in October and November of [redacted]. Despite checking the Illinois Tollway website regularly to pay these tolls as soon as they appeared on my account, as of January 13, [redacted], they are still not showing up. There is no activity displayed, which is causing me to now be invoiced for an additional $57 for not paying them. I am willing to pay the actual unpaid tolls of $27.30, as I believe the delay in posting them could be from the state's end due to the lack of any activity on my license plate or account. I would appreciate assistance in confirming this and resolving the issue with the website. Thank you. - Greg.

On Sunday, February 21 around 1:00 p.m., while driving eastbound on I-88, I mistakenly held up my new transponder at Plaza 52 but not to the sensors as intended. I have been attempting to pay online but encountered difficulties with the website not providing the option to "pay by plate". Despite trying to navigate through different sections, I have not received a notice number to proceed.
This issue seems to be a recurring problem with the website based on my research. I am not willing to pay any penalties due to the site's malfunction. I also struggled to find a mailing address until I was guided by Senator Harmon's Office to reach out here.

I drove on I-[redacted] on February 11th and found the cash stations closed. Upon returning home, I promptly set up a "Pay By Plate" account, providing my plate number (161WST, account # [redacted]). The website assured me that within 14 days of travel, I could enter my vehicle and payment information, and I would be billed at the cash rate for any outstanding tolls. However, I received a bill with late fees today. When I checked my account, there was no activity, but a message indicated an issue with open violations that I couldn't view. Despite following the process correctly, I was charged penalty fees incorrectly. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this matter and clarifying why the tolls were not paid automatically. Thank you. - J. C.

I drove on I-[redacted] on February 11, and the cash stations were closed. Upon returning home, I promptly created a pay by plate account and added my plate number (161WST, account number [redacted]). The website mentioned a 14-day window to input vehicle and payment details to be billed at the cash rate for unpaid tolls. However, I received a bill today with late fees via mail, although my account shows no activity. A message indicating open violations linked to my license plates appears, but I cannot locate them. I followed the procedures correctly, yet penalty charges were included in the bill. I seek assistance in resolving this issue, removing the penalty fees, and understanding why the system did not deduct the tolls from my account. Thank you for your help.

I am unable to access my account despite inputting the correct information multiple times. I need to resolve a toll violation from a car rental company. I contacted a representative named Monica after waiting for over 35 minutes on hold for two weeks, only to be talked over and disconnected. I find it disappointing that in this economy, with many people seeking jobs, there is poor customer service. I also emailed the provided address to avoid the automated system, but I have not received a reply in three days. I am extremely frustrated as I am still unable to log in to the online platform.

Subject: Invoice VN[redacted]97
I received an invoice from you indicating that I owe $12.90, which includes a $9 invoice fee. The car with License Plate #[redacted] has an IPASS responder attached to the vehicle with a serial number, and the tolls should have been deducted from my account. I previously contacted you to assist with transferring a transponder from my old car to the current one, which you successfully did. During that call, I mentioned owing for a couple of tolls and inquired about possible violations, to which I was informed there were none. Therefore, please waive the $9 service fee, as I have proof of the transponder registered to this car. I would appreciate confirmation once this matter is resolved. Additionally, I find the service fee unreasonable, especially considering the lengthy wait times I've experienced when contacting customer service.
Thank you,
S. Farwell

During my trip to Illinois in May, I encountered their new pay by plate system as I didn't have an Ipass. Following their 14-day grace period, I visited illinoistollways.com to set up my Ipass account, including pay by plate for my vehicle. However, I'm facing issues as my vehicle's pay by plate tolls are not showing on my online account. I've now received an invoice for unpaid tolls with fees that exceed double the original toll amounts. Surprisingly, the vehicle information matches my online account. I anticipated that the tolls would show on my account and be automatically paid with my card on file. To add to the complexity, I also have a new EZPass transponder which was used for other tolls on the same day in Illinois.

Hello IL Toll Authority team,
I hope this message finds you well! Recently, our I-Passes were not working properly, so we set up an account to pay for tolls with our license plates. At the same time, we purchased a new I-Pass for our Rav 4. I have a few questions:
1. Are we being charged for both our license plates and the I-Pass in the same vehicle?
2. We're unsure which of the original I-Passes is functioning correctly and have both in our Sienna Mini-van. How can we determine which one is working?
3. Could you please review our account? We suspect we might be charged multiple times each time we pass through a toll booth.
Thank you for your assistance!

I recently signed up for Pay by Plate Illinois and have noticed numerous inaccurate charges on my checking account. After investigating, I have found instances where I was charged twice - once for the original toll and then a larger amount. These errors date back to July [redacted]. I rarely use tolls, mostly sticking to main streets. Currently, there is a pending charge of $25.90, along with a recent charge of $47, neither of which I believe are valid. This is causing significant financial strain as I rely on my social security check. I kindly request assistance in resolving these duplicate charges promptly. Thank you.

I received an Ipass transponder as a Christmas gift with the serial number [redacted]1. I've been attempting to transfer it to my name for about 5 months with no success. I managed to get an account number ([redacted]6) assigned, but they won't transfer the transponder unless the gifter is on the phone at the same time, which is challenging due to her frequent travels. During a recent trip to Illinois, I couldn't use the transponder, and now I can't log in to pay the tolls as the website keeps looping back to the registration page. Despite multiple calls and messages, the issue remains unsolved. I'm left with unresolved toll payments and a transponder that's essentially useless. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I recently took two separate trips through Illinois in my own vehicles. A couple of years ago, I acquired a getipass machine but never activated my account or installed it in any vehicle. Both of my cars were out of use for extended periods at different times. I received a bill from IL toll Riverlink for one vehicle, but when I drove the other vehicle, I was billed through getipass despite my account not being set up. I attempted to locate my account but found it was not established. I have received a statement with a $30 fee in addition to $17.90 in tolls. Could you please consider reducing the added fees? I prefer not to use the getipass and would have paid the tolls promptly if IL had notified me of the correct amount due. Thank you.

I am having trouble accessing my account because I don't know my account number. Despite several password reset attempts, none have been successful. Unfortunately, my work hours coincide with the business hours, making it hard to contact support. However, when I did manage to speak with a representative recently, she was very unhelpful and only mentioned that I owe money on an invoice. Given that I have a new car with a different plate, I can't access my account to resolve this issue. The frequent $40 replenish fees are becoming a significant problem, occurring up to three times a week. It's frustrating that I still can't access my account online to manage these invoices properly. I kindly request assistance in resolving these issues and streamlining my payment process.
