I have had my taxes done at H&R Block for 6, 7, maybe 8 years. Last year I did them myself. After tax season, they said they sent me a new Emerald card. During our move, I never received the new card. This year, H&R Block informed me they were changing banks and my old Emerald card from 3 or 4 years ago would be invalid soon. Despite updating my address on the app, my new card never arrived. My taxes and paychecks have been loaded onto the old card. When I called customer service, they said they mailed a new card on March 8th, which I suspect also went to the old address. I'm frustrated as my money is stuck on that card, and I need it for essential expenses. Can I get a temporary card from H&R Block to access my funds?

About 4 or 5 years ago, I started using the H&R Block online tax app and was issued an Emerald card. Recently, I began receiving my paychecks via direct deposit to the card. After tax season, H&R Block notified me that a new card was sent to me, but it was sent to my old address as I had moved. Completing my taxes this year, they mentioned they are changing banks and that I had two weeks left on my Emerald card. I assumed they were referring to my current card, but they had actually loaded my taxes onto the card they sent last year, which I was unaware of. Two weeks passed, my card got deactivated, and now my app shows my funds on a card I don't know about. Despite updating my new address, they sent the card to the old one. It has been three weeks, and I still haven't received the card. To get a temporary card for rent and bills, I visited H&R Block, but they directed me to call a phone number which was not helpful. I'm still waiting for a resolution.

After being told my tax preparation would cost $[redacted] and that I would receive my refund in 21 days, I was surprised when it took longer. The office where I filed my taxes now tells me they can't help and that it's the IRS's responsibility to send the payment. This lack of assistance is frustrating and seems unhelpful to customers. If I had known it would take more than 21 days, I would have chosen a different way to file. My trust in this service has diminished, and I am disappointed with the lack of support after paying for the service. I feel overcharged and dissatisfied. I am considering informing others about this experience and exploring other ways to address this issue if necessary.

I am requesting a refund for tax preparation services totaling $[redacted].00. The services were conducted on March 1, [redacted], at your Stafford Springs, Connecticut office. An error was identified in my tax forms where I did not receive the full credit for my dependent. Upon notifying Karen Carr, MBA, who managed the office and my taxes, she gave conflicting information about the issue. Following up with the IRS on March 15th and 16th revealed that the recovery rebate credit was not included in my tax forms. After speaking with Karen on March 17th, she made a free amendment to include the $1,[redacted] recovery rebate credit for my dependent born in January [redacted]. I find this situation unacceptable and am seeking a refund for the tax preparation services. Whom should I contact to address this issue?

Dear Maria Smith, I hope this email finds you well. I appreciate your previous communication regarding my tax concerns at the Belcamp office. Following our discussion, I believe a full refund of $[redacted].00 would be equitable given the circumstances. Thank you for your assistance, Jack McDougall

On March 5, [redacted], I visited H&R Block in Walker, Michigan, to apply for ITIN numbers for my wife and two daughters. I have been a longtime customer of H&R Block. I was informed that it could take 6-12 weeks to receive the ITIN numbers and my refund. By July [redacted], I hadn't received any refund, and it wasn't showing on the IRS refund site. I reached out to Barbara, who mentioned delays due to Covid. In November [redacted], I contacted her again with the same response. In February [redacted], I opted for free tax services for veterans at the VA due to affordability concerns. When the IRS received my returns and I was due a refund for [redacted], they required my [redacted] filing before releasing it. Despite Barbara's assurances to contact the IRS, I haven't received updates or responses to my calls or emails. This experience has tarnished my opinion of H&R Block, and I caution others against using their services, citing a lack of support and customer care. I am currently owed nearly $11,[redacted], affecting my ability to access Covid relief funds. Regrettably, my family and I will no longer be utilizing H&R Block services due to this ordeal.

I am writing a check to the state of CO for the back taxes I owe because of your company's dismissive handling of my Peace of Mind. I am disappointed with your company's lack of action. Regrettably, I selected your company based on the false promise of Peace of Mind. As I rectify your employee's mistakes and deliberately submitted filings, I am creating Tik Tok videos highlighting the broken promises of your "peace of mind" pledge. These videos will be tagged #promisesbroken along with your company name. I aim for them to gain traction as tax season approaches. My experience with your company has been nothing short of a living nightmare for the past five years.

Hello, I have filed most of my tax returns online with H&R Block, except for my [redacted] return, which I filed with Tax USA. I mailed it in last March [redacted] and tracked the package, which was received. However, the IRS has no record of it when I called them at the end of March [redacted]. They mentioned they are dealing with a backlog and staff shortages, indicating they may not have processed the returns yet. They advised not to resend the [redacted] return. The issue is that my [redacted] return was rejected last year due to the AGI not matching what they had on file, likely because my [redacted] return was not processed. I'm now waiting to submit my [redacted] and [redacted] returns, knowing they might also be rejected if I try electronically. I need to sort this out to return to school and potentially qualify for stimulus payments. Any advice would be appreciated. For your information, my [redacted] and [redacted] returns were prepared using my H&R Block online account.

In [redacted], I used H&R Block software for my tax return. Recently, I got a notice from the IRS stating I miscalculated my Adjusted Gross Income by $8,[redacted]. This error led to a penalty. When I prepared my return, I inputted $8,[redacted] in the Federal Adjustments section under Miscellaneous Adjustments for Attorney fees related to discrimination claims. The IRS guidelines state that such claims should be reported on Schedule A (Form [redacted]) or Schedule A (Form [redacted]-NR). Unfortunately, the software didn't include these schedules, and the $8,[redacted] appeared on Schedule 1, line 22, causing the problem. I'd appreciate any help in resolving this issue.

I submitted my tax return via digital drop-off this year, and Patricia N. assisted me through the process. My return was accepted by the IRS on March 18th, and I received confirmation that they were preparing my refund. However, when checking the IRS website and app, the status remained at "Return Accepted" without progressing to "Refund Approved." I have tried to contact Patricia N. for clarification but have not received a response. I am concerned about the delay and would like to understand why my return is still processing after being accepted. The pending refund is crucial for paying bills this month due to limited work opportunities recently. I am eagerly awaiting an update on the refund status. You can reach me at [redacted] for further correspondence. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

I encountered two issues with my H&R Block [redacted] Premium & Business software. Initially, after being informed by customer service that I needed Windows 10, I was able to download both personal and business software. However, the business software suddenly stopped launching with an unexpected error prompt, leading me to uninstall and reinstall it repeatedly without success. Despite previously successfully launching, the business software no longer seems to download. I require assistance to resolve this matter. Upon trying to download the software on multiple computers due to the issue persisting, I exceeded the allowed number of downloads. I kindly request a reset on the download limit as I only intended to download on two separate devices. I am unsure if the software is fully compatible with Windows 10 and its updates, as the personal tax return software works well but the business software consistently encounters errors upon launching. For further guidance, I would appreciate a phone call from a knowledgeable representative at [redacted]. Thank you for your help.

I purchased the [redacted] H&R Block tax software at Walmart, but I'm having trouble downloading it. Despite multiple attempts, the 10-digit activation code is not being accepted. I opted for TurboTax instead and successfully filed my [redacted] Federal taxes. I am looking to receive a refund of the $14.98 I paid for the H&R Block software at Walmart. Kindly assist with this matter. Thank you, Roy S.

I bought a card from Walmart to get the Maximize Deductions Program, but I wasn't asked to activate it at the register. This caused me to not receive an email with instructions on how to download the program. I called H&R Block and waited for 45 minutes to speak with someone, only to be disconnected with a message saying they were closed. All I want is to download the program I paid for. Even tech support couldn't assist me, though they charged my credit card. I'm feeling very frustrated at the moment. The activation code on the card is TZU SUM FRY7. I hope someone can assist me, as I haven't had any luck so far. Thank you.

I am seeking assistance for an issue I encountered starting Saturday, April 10, [redacted]. I purchased H&R Business and Premium software, installed it on my computer, and completed my [redacted] Tax Return. I am facing a problem with Form [redacted] as it requires a Supporting Statement for Line 11c. Although I have completed the interview and verified the presence of the Supporting Statement for Line 11c, when I print my tax return, this specific Supporting Statement does not print, unlike the other two supporting statements. I've spent considerable time on hold and in online chats with no resolution provided. Despite receiving Blockcare ID#'s, the customer service representatives have not been helpful and continuously transfer me to different departments without addressing my issue. I even requested to speak with a supervisor, but the situation has not improved. This experience has been frustrating, and I am disappointed with the lack of support from H&R Block.

I have been using H&R Block Deluxe software purchased from Walmart for many years. Since [redacted], I have been making Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from my Traditional IRA, totaling over $10,[redacted] for each year, [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. The H&R tax software correctly prompts for QCD info, deducts it from my AGI, but fails to transmit this info to the IRS when e-filing. Consequently, I have experienced audits for [redacted], fines in [redacted], and had my [redacted] refund garnished due to this issue. It has caused me significant problems, consumed time, cost me thousands of dollars, and caused distress. The Deluxe software is deficient in reporting QCDs to the IRS, leading to these complications.

Subject: Urgent Attention Needed Regarding Tax Preparation Dear Sheryl Heard, I have been a loyal customer of HR Block for many years. This tax season, unfortunately, I encountered a series of issues at the Chester MD office. I worked with Beth Wode on my taxes, but the experience was marred by a receptionist who was unhelpful and rude, refusing to let me contact Beth directly. After receiving an incorrect tax calculation on February 27, [redacted], I tried to communicate with Beth via email without success. Eventually, she acknowledged the errors and mentioned she would need to recalculate my taxes. Despite her assurance of waiving the filing fee due to the inconveniences caused, the process has been stressful. I was promised the recalculated paperwork by April 5th, but as of April 15th, I am still awaiting it. Regrettably, my attempts to follow up with Beth through text messages were ignored. I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter to ensure my Federal taxes are paid on time and to receive the corrected Maryland State refund promptly. Sincerely, Paul Mastrolia [redacted] [redacted] North Lake Dr. Stevensville, MD [redacted]

I am encountering an issue with TaxCut when trying to e-file. An error message pops up stating, "We're having trouble making a connection between your software and our server." Despite trying various troubleshooting steps like rebooting, reinstalling the software, and contacting HRBlock multiple times over the last three hours, I have not been able to successfully submit my e-file. The long wait times in the queue lead me to believe they might be intentionally disconnecting calls. My internet connection is stable, and I can access other online services without any problems. This frustrating experience has made me reconsider using their software in the future. According to the representative I briefly spoke with, there is no way for them to check the status of their backend for e-file connections.

Good afternoon, I initially attempted to prepare my taxes independently but encountered a roadblock, prompting me to seek assistance from a tax professional. After sharing my documents, I realized I could manage on my own. However, the quoted cost exceeded my expectations, so I decided to revert to preparing my taxes independently. Despite informing the tax professional, my account still indicates a professional is working on my taxes. I've tried various solutions such as rescheduling and even creating a new account, to no avail. I attempted to contact customer service following online advice but faced difficulties with the automated system and unhelpful representatives. I was advised to have the tax professional release the file, which she believed she had done. Nevertheless, the issue persists, and I suspect it is a Tech Support matter. I have made numerous unsuccessful calls to customer service and encountered endless transfers between departments. My frustration is mounting, and I urgently seek a resolution today. Thank you. L.H. I have submitted the form for the reissue of the second stimulus payment twice. Despite updating my mailing address, I have not received it. I submitted the form to the H&R Block office in Antigo, WI, two weeks ago. My husband, P.T., called yesterday and was given the same response about the mailing address. Our second stimulus is being processed by H&R Block, but we have not received it through direct deposit or check. We have complied with all the requests from H&R Block and would appreciate some clarification on the status of our payment. Thank you. KD T.

On April 17, I visited the Waipo, Hawaii office to drop off my tax return with Natalie for an appointment I thought was scheduled with Micah Paulino on Monday at 5:30 pm, but it was actually set for Sunday at the same time. Since Hawaii tax returns were due the next day, I received a call at 1:30 pm on Monday informing me that my return was ready to sign. However, when we returned at 5:30 pm with a missing document, there was a delay because HR Block was updating its system. Despite assurances that any penalties would be covered, I couldn't access my return. After numerous attempts to follow up and retrieve my documents, on Friday, I am still waiting for resolution. This experience has been frustrating after being a customer of HR Block for 35 years. The lack of communication and delays have left me dissatisfied with the service provided.
