I received a letter (5071C) for identity verification for tax year [redacted]. I filed my taxes online with the Deluxe edition through H&R Block. The IRS accepted my refund on March 12, [redacted]. I need H&R Block to assist in verifying my identity with the IRS or expedite my refund, as the letter states it will take an additional 9 weeks post-verification. If H&R Block is unable to assist with the verification or refund process, I am interested in a tax refund loan/advance of approximately $[redacted]-$[redacted].

I had my taxes done by H&R Block in Astoria, Oregon [redacted], and I am seeking a full refund. I was charged for peace of mind but have not received my refund check. The check was sent to the wrong bank as they did not request my current bank information; they relied on past details. Additionally, I was not informed by the tax preparer that I owe Oregon state taxes. Only after a friend reviewed my return did I discover this unexpected amount owed. This experience has left me dissatisfied with the service, and every year seems to bring less favorable results financially. Despite multiple attempts, I have been unable to reach anyone at corporate. I remain disappointed and frustrated that my refund is still missing.

I used H&R Block online for my taxes, but encountered a problem. After inputting my paper check details, it kept redirecting me to the same page and making me re-enter the information. Despite the "File Your Return" section showing Not Ready, I eventually got a message saying my return was complete. Although my account confirms I filed, there is no information on my IRS tax refund. I finished filing on April 15th and want to ensure everything is in order. I hope for assistance in determining when my refund will arrive or if the online site glitch affected my filing. Please respond soon. Thank you.

I received a letter from the IRS informing me that my refund was reduced by $[redacted] due to an error related to the child tax credit. I e-filed using software and sought a second opinion at a local branch. Although they had slightly different calculations, they agreed with me regarding the child tax credit issue. After contacting the IRS, I learned that the discrepancy was due to not using all of my residential energy credit carryover in the correct order. While the IRS clarified this, the software and the local branch's representative hold a different view. I'm now unsure who is correct. Additionally, I am concerned about next year's return if the software assumes I have used all of my residential energy credit.

I recently received an IRS form indicating that my Federal taxes were not paid. I utilized H&R Block's service to make the payment with my Visa card. While my payment to the State of Indiana was successful, I now face penalties and interest owing to the IRS. I intend to rectify this by sending a payment directly to the IRS. I believe H&R Block should reimburse me $57.55 for the penalty. They promote assistance for audit situations; doesn't this scenario fall within that realm?

I met Sharon Amber in St. Charles on Main Street last year to handle my overdue taxes. Unfortunately, I never provided her with the final documents required and now find myself in a distressing situation. My husband passed away, leaving me with three young daughters, making it challenging for me to deal with this daunting task. I must address another year of unfiled taxes, but the thought of facing this alone terrifies me due to financial worries and potential IRS consequences. I have attempted to schedule an appointment with Sharon without success and am unsure if she is still available on Main Street. I hope she can assist me with four years of taxes, but if not, I seek a recommendation for another understanding professional. I have some [redacted] documents but struggle to locate everything Sharon requested previously. I apologize for the delay and appreciate any guidance on how to proceed.

I recently discovered an issue with my [redacted] tax return. The IRS informed me that only my Social Security and pension were listed as income, totaling $15,[redacted], without including the additional funds withdrawn from my IRA account. Unfortunately, I cannot locate my [redacted] tax return to verify this discrepancy. I am requesting a copy of my [redacted] return to review the full income reported. It seems impossible that the withdrawal from the IRA was overlooked during the tax filing process. The IRS is claiming I owe them $2,[redacted] due to this error.

Good morning Mrs. Elena Belinkaia at HR Block, I trust you are well. I'm Peter Movilla, and we worked together on my taxes this year. Do you remember our tax session with pizza on March 27th, [redacted]? I received a $[redacted].03 tax assessment notice from Massachusetts, and I want to verify it before paying. I trust your thoroughness and wonder if my move from California to Massachusetts in July [redacted] could be the cause of this discrepancy. I've attached the pdf of the letter. Your help is appreciated. Please contact me via email or text at [redacted] with any questions. Thank you, Peter Movilla, MD Newton Wellesley Hospital - Surgical Fellow, Class of [redacted]

My mother visited one of your LA locations and unfortunately was denied service. My parents had just purchased a Nissan and were looking to get insurance quotes, including coverage for their new car. Despite my mother understanding English but not speaking it, they were turned away due to a language barrier. I feel compelled to highlight the missed opportunity for customer service and the need for more diversity within your company. As a store manager who regularly assists Hmong customers, I strive to provide exceptional service by going the extra mile, such as using my personal phone as a translator. I believe there was a lack of effort from your staff, especially when there were available agents at that time.

I recently visited a tax office to file my taxes and used the drop-off service for my previous state taxes because I was informed I had paid a different representative. Unfortunately, the person assisting me that day couldn't process them. After weeks of following up, a representative finally contacted me to say they had completed my taxes but never received the documents. Corporate advised me to schedule another appointment. Upon doing so, I discovered that H&R Block had lost my dropped-off files. During the appointment to review my federal taxes, they mentioned an error that required an amendment before they could continue with my state taxes. This has resulted in multiple visits to the office. Due to H&R Block's errors and not receiving a copy of my forms, I will need to contact the IRS to obtain them, which may face challenges as it's past the usual issuance time frame. I am greatly frustrated with this experience as I have already spent over $1,[redacted] on getting my past taxes in order. I still need to file my [redacted] state taxes and correct H&R Block's mistake through an amendment, leading me to consider filing elsewhere.

We filed an injured spouse form as I have student loan debt and my husband is the main source of income. We submitted it with our taxes through H&R Block to prevent delays in his refund. The IRS claims they never received the form, causing a hold-up in his refund. We need H&R Block to resend the injured spouse form promptly to ensure my husband receives his refund. Additionally, we paid over $[redacted] for the service, and it seems it was mishandled. We request assurance from H&R Block that our refund will be processed once the form is resent and proof of submission.

Hello! I am a dual citizen of America and France. I observed that I was penalized for not having US health insurance while applying for a tax refund. I had French health insurance when I came to California, assuming it would suffice. Upon my arrival in the US in June [redacted], I did not spend the entire year there. Additionally, my company's insurance did not cover most medical expenses, and my salary was insufficient. Given these circumstances, I believe I may qualify for an exemption from the penalty. Can you please verify this for me? I have another matter I would like assistance with. I left my job in the US at the end of April [redacted] and relocated to France. I did not receive a W2 form for [redacted], and I need to request it while being in France. Since this is my first time requesting a tax refund, I am unfamiliar with the procedures. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Alexis

Each year, I rely on the Emerald Advance line of credit to help with my taxes. In [redacted], both my husband and I used the advance, but only his was deducted from our taxes and paid back to H&R Block. Unfortunately, mine was not processed, leading to it being sent to collections without any prior notice. Despite having no issues with repayment in [redacted], the lack of communication and immediate sending to collections in [redacted] has left me extremely disappointed with H&R Block. I filed online through their website as usual, but the oversight on their end has caused me frustration and dissatisfaction. I will resolve the issue, but I no longer plan to use H&R Block in the future.

I e-filed my [redacted] taxes with H&R Block and paid $92.00 to the IRS as shown on my return. However, I discovered an error where my income was entered twice and needed to file an amended return for [redacted]. Despite finding the online process challenging, I sought help at an H&R Block office, but after submitting the amended return in February [redacted], the IRS claims they never received it. When I tried to get another copy from H&R Block, I was told they couldn't assist me. Now, I'm unsure about the next steps to take.

I visited H & R Block advisors seeking help with my late Mother's trust taxes after mistakenly filing them together with her personal taxes. After separating them myself, I hoped to ensure everything was done correctly by taking the trust taxes to H & R Block. Initially quoted between $[redacted]-$[redacted], I provided all necessary information to Nancy for the process. However, delays due to corporate tax season and a vacation meant I only met with her in June. To my surprise, I was presented with a bill of $[redacted], much higher than anticipated. Displeased with the cost for what I believed to be a simple return, I found errors on the forms like my brother's name instead of mine. Despite rectifying this mistake, I felt overcharged for the service and left dissatisfied with the experience at H & R Block.

In January [redacted], I sought assistance at an H&R Block office in Perkasie, PA, after receiving unexpected tax bills and needed help with an innocent spouse form due to being a victim of domestic abuse. The tax specialist helped me file the form but made an error on my [redacted] return, resulting in me overpaying the IRS by $[redacted]. Despite pointing out the mistake, only the preparation fee was refunded, not the $[redacted]. After a lengthy legal process, I was awarded stop collection, not innocent spouse, and the IRS kept the overpaid amount. H&R Block denied my claim for the error, citing it was not their debt. I find H&R Block's response unreasonable as the mistake was not mine, and I would not have willingly overpaid. Despite having insurance, there were no guidelines for computer errors. I feel H&R Block should have policies for such situations. I hope to receive a response from someone in the organization regarding my claim, including my supporting documents from the IRS and the amended return.

I am having an issue with the H&R Block [redacted] software not e-filing my NY state extension, which now prevents me from e-filing my completed returns. After a chat with their customer service, my NY state return was submitted late and rejected due to an issue with the extension. I need H&R Block to assist in e-filing both my federal and NY state returns as the software is not handling it properly. Additionally, I would like them to ensure that my NY state return is marked as on time since the extension was attempted on 04/11/[redacted]. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I have encountered issues trying to e-file my NY state extension since **********. The software indicated submission, but it only got confirmed after reaching out to a representative last week. Despite my attempts, the software hasn't been able to submit my federal and NY state tax returns due to the lingering NY state extension submission problem. H&R Block software's failure to e-file the NY state extension has led to a delay in submitting my completed returns. This mishap may result in my NY state return being marked as late, even though the extension was originally attempted on **********. I am seeking assistance from H&R Block to e-file both my federal and NY state returns promptly, ensure that my NY state return is noted as on time, and address the delay caused by the software issue. I have been a loyal user of this software, consistently filing extensions or returns on time without problems until this year's incident. Despite speaking with a representative via chat last week and being informed that they would assist in submitting all completed returns, only the NY state extension has been addressed so far, with no updates received on e-filing the completed federal and NY state returns.

I used the HR Block [redacted] Software CD for my tax returns this year. I needed to amend my return, specifically changing my car deduction method for business from actual to standard miles on the federal return. Originally, I had paid over $4k to the Federal and $[redacted] to the State. When amending, the Federal return reflected a $1,[redacted] refund, but the State return indicated I owed $[redacted] despite me having already paid $[redacted]. Even after adjusting the payment field in the State software, it still showed I owed $[redacted] instead of the correct $[redacted] refund. It seems the State software may not be accounting for the previous payment. How can I rectify this to receive the correct $[redacted] refund? Tim
