This is regarding Jason Van Dyke, a Chicago police officer found guilty of murder for fatally shooting a child in [redacted]. It is believed that Van Dyke's attorney, Tammy Wendt, has created a misleading GoFundMe campaign allegedly for Van Dyke's daughters. Van Dyke has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the crime. There are concerns about the legality of fundraising efforts for someone convicted of a serious offense. The issue of police brutality is widespread and this case is seen as part of a larger problem. The GoFundMe campaign has reportedly raised $20,[redacted] already. There are calls for scrutiny into the situation.

I recently interacted with someone who claimed to be a fundraiser but turned out not to be. They promised to raise $[redacted] for me, but I never received the funds. Unfortunately, I shared my bank details with them under the guise of depositing a check, which later bounced, causing my bank to drain all my funds, including my social security and paycheck. Now, I am left without money for rent, food, or bills, with rent looming for November 1st. My partner and I are facing homelessness, especially difficult as she is unwell, and I am a 65-year-old. The individual, supposedly named Lexi Rossner, used GoFundMe as part of their scam. I urgently require assistance in rectifying this situation to avoid ending up on the streets.

My daughter-in-law created a GoFundMe page for her cousin from Australia who was tragically paralyzed during his visit to the US. They have successfully raised a considerable amount of funds. However, they are currently facing difficulties as GoFundMe is requesting a US bank account to transfer the donations, which poses a potential tax implication. The cousin is based in Australia and should meet all the necessary criteria. Despite contacting GoFundMe, they are struggling to find a solution. It's frustrating that there seems to be no direct phone support available. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I urgently need a call regarding the difficulties withdrawing funds from Melissa Bechards' GoFund page. The page collected $[redacted] for my niece's funeral expenses. My sister requires the funds promptly. The process is meant to be simple in situations like this, but it's proving hard to access the money. It's concerning that the funds are not being transferred to my sister's account while accruing interest. This delay is unacceptable during such a challenging time. If this matter isn't addressed promptly, I will have to escalate it publicly. Please reach out to Vivian Bechard at [redacted] without delay.

My husband initiated a fundraiser to support homeless Austin musicians. On October 17, [redacted], I made a $10 donation, which was promptly displayed in the donor section and the total amount raised. However, upon checking yesterday, the total showed zero dollars. We have been unsuccessful in modifying the pictures, stories, updates, or correcting the misspelled title. We are considering closing this account and creating a new one, but we are concerned about losing the $10 donation. We are seeking a refund or withdrawal of the funds from his account. I have a separate successful account without any issues, so I am disappointed by the challenges we have encountered. We are eager for a resolution as we are unable to make any progress or receive any assistance. The account is registered under the email [redacted] and the name Robert Land Corso for the fundraiser to aid homeless musicians.

My wife created a GoFundMe page for our cat Felix, and we received about $[redacted] in donations. About 14 or 15 days ago, she requested for the funds to be transferred to our bank account, but we haven't received anything yet. There doesn't seem to be a contact number available, so I'm hoping to get some assistance in locating the missing funds. You can reach out to the email linked to the account at k***t@y****.com. Your help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and assistance in addressing this issue.

I am the mother of Major Evan Mooldyk, who tragically passed away in Afghanistan. Despite his dedication to the military, he faced financial struggles due to his demanding wife constantly purchasing larger, more expensive homes. He held multiple jobs, including at Chas. Schwab and delivering newspapers, in addition to his military service. Concerned for his children's future, he ensured I was the beneficiary of his insurance policies. His wife has since been receiving substantial government assistance following his passing, contrary to claims of destitution. I am deeply troubled by his son Connor's attempts to exploit the situation for personal gain through false pretenses. I believe this family's actions should be thoroughly investigated. I can be reached at [redacted] for any further information.

Hello, I am Caryl Perry, and I must express my extreme frustration with Go Fund Me. I am incredibly upset by the significant inconvenience they have caused me. I have not received the check from my Go Fund Me account despite numerous emails sent over the past year. The lack of professionalism is appalling. Despite promises of a check arriving within 7 to 10 days, I have received nothing. It is my rightful fund, and the continued delay is unacceptable. I have been patient for too long. Unless this issue is promptly resolved, I will take legal action. This withholding of my funds is unjust and against the law. I expect a resolution swiftly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hi, my name is Melanie Brown. Today, on 11/16/18, I made a $75 donation to "Help Farran and her Family" through Glen Sider and referred by Liz Goldman-Sider. I mistakenly got charged an additional $75 tip to Go Fund Me, totaling $[redacted] instead of $75. I did not intend to tip. Kindly issue a credit to my American Express and let me know the next steps. Please credit me promptly. Thank you. Melanie

I assisted Barbara Curlee in making a first-time donation to Ryan Hotson's fund for wife Brenda Hotston. Barbara initially encountered a technical issue with a $38.10 charge, which was cancelled by selecting "no." She then gave me $50 in cash, which I used to make a $50 donation under my name with no tip to GoFundMe. However, both Barbara and I were wrongly charged $50 each. I will reimburse Barbara for the duplicate charge and cover the extra amount. Kindly correct the transaction to reflect $50 going directly to the Hotstons with no tip to GoFundMe. Please confirm once this adjustment is made. Thank you.

Hello, I am Pam, and unfortunately, I accidentally deleted the pages I created. Consequently, I can't view the donations that were made, even though there were only three. I hope to see if more donations come in from friends. After attempting to sign in multiple times, I did not receive any new password emails to my Gmail account. Without a password, I am unable to access my page. I hope to regain access to my original page and receive a new password sent to my email. Thank you for your attention.

I am part of the team managing funds for myself and two other individuals affected by the Woolsey Fire. When attempting to withdraw the funds, we are encountering an "Account Under Review" message. I am seeking clarification on why this is happening and what steps are required on our part. Additionally, an estimate of the time required for this process would be greatly appreciated. There is a sense of urgency as donors are becoming frustrated due to the inability of Patrick and Christina to access their funds. As part of the affected group, I also have a need to withdraw the allocated funds. The links to the accounts in question are as follows: - Patrick Woolsey Fire Relief Fund: [redacted] - Christina Woolsey Fire Relief Fund: [redacted] - Bibi and Bruce Fire Relief Fund: [redacted] Thank you, Bibi J.

In the past, I used my regular email, [redacted], for my nose operation account, which is also linked to my PayPal. I recently opened a new account, [redacted], to handle my utility bills while I recover. I couldn't remove my old listing, so I changed the email address. I contacted PayPal, and they provided me with a routing and account number. I'm hoping that my money will be directed to the right account. Can someone verify this for me? bogus

Hello, I am facing an issue withdrawing funds from my GoFundMe account. I had been corresponding via email with a representative yesterday who was assisting me with the process. However, I have not received a response from them today. They were helping me designate my girlfriend as the beneficiary of my account. Despite several attempts over the last three weeks, each withdrawal has resulted in a "failed to send" message along with specific dates mentioned in the notifications. This delay is causing stress as I need these funds urgently for an upcoming move with my family. If there is any way you can assist me promptly, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I have a friend who is going through a difficult time. His wife has MS and requires an Imogen machine that costs $[redacted]. Unfortunately, he is unable to afford it. She is 52 years old and not eligible for Medicare. He, being 72 years old and also unwell, is struggling. He reached out to me as his son, who lives with them rent-free with his own family, is reluctant to use a Go Fund Me account. I started filling out the application but paused when they asked for a photo, realizing it should come from the person in need. I seek guidance on how to proceed. I can provide his contact details for verification if necessary. Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

Hello, my name is Johann DeCristo. I have previously contacted you requesting the removal of all GoFundMe photos and references to my late grandson, Mathew DeCristo, from your social media and Facebook platforms. Mathew, a 14-year-old minor, tragically passed away. We are distressed and urgently seek to have all content related to him erased from your GoFundMe pages. The account associated with his fund has been closed, and Angela Leigh and Tammy DeHart, who managed it, no longer have access. I had to create a new account to communicate this request. Despite previous notifications, I recently found that Mathew's images are still accessible online via a Google search. We are grieving as a family and sincerely request the prompt removal of any information or photos connected to Mathew DeCristo. We utilized your platform for a heartfelt cause, and now it is time to conclude this chapter. Your cooperation in fulfilling our wishes is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Johann DeCristo.

I recently posted about my deceased grandson on a GoFundMe page and now realize my private information was shared publicly without my consent. I am appalled that my request for help deleting the GoFundMe account was made public. This situation is not a joke, and the lack of sensitivity displayed is disheartening. Instead of receiving genuine assistance, I was directed to technical support with automated responses, and then asked to pay a large sum for further help. I am urging for the immediate removal of all content related to this matter from the internet. The handling of this situation by the GoFundMe team has been disappointing and lacks empathy towards individuals in distress.

On May 26, [redacted], I made a $1,[redacted] donation to Collin Earl at Gemstone Planetary Lingams through GoFundMe. Despite not knowing the campaign organizer personally before donating, I did not receive the promised Gemstone Planetary Lingams at the $1,[redacted] donation level. Even after trying to get in touch with them through multiple messages and involving GoFundMe customer support, there was no response. I requested a refund, but both GoFundMe and my bank stated that I did not qualify. Feeling that the campaign was fraudulent and not receiving the protection I expected as a donor, I am looking to reopen the case.

I am unsure if I am eligible to apply for assistance. My partner and I have been in a relationship for over three years. I have not been employed since [redacted]. I left my job due to health issues, and my girlfriend said she would support me. I had some savings, so I resigned with her assurance. I have been financially dependent on her. We invested in a second property using the equity from her fully paid house. Unfortunately, she has lost her job. I have been attempting to find work without success. Recently, I discovered that she accumulated nearly $50k in credit card debt without my knowledge while I thought she was managing everything. Additionally, I have gained [redacted] pounds due to a thyroid condition and am receiving treatment from a local practitioner out of pocket. I am struggling to secure employment and feel judged during interviews because of my weight, leading to quick rejections. Our financial situation is critical, to the point where we cannot afford to pay our local taxes. We are preparing to sell our house, but the slow market is exacerbating our debt. Any guidance or support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely, Richard.

The Klamathon Fire Fund Campaign has continuously been placed on hold without a resolution by GoFundMe. This has been frustrating as we have been actively promoting donations through media outlets. Despite these setbacks, we have persevered and organized fundraising events to support those affected by the Klamathon Fire. Unfortunately, accessing the funds raised has been challenging, hindering our efforts to assist the community. We are hopeful for a swift resolution from GoFundMe so that we can proceed with our charitable initiatives. If necessary, we may consider redirecting donations to ensure support reaches those in need. We have reached out to GoFundMe for assistance and hope for a quick resolution. For any inquiries, please contact me at [redacted] Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Jana Toney.
