Two campaigns were inadvertently created for my husband Dave Smith, who is battling Breast Cancer, to raise funds for medical expenses. The page is confusing, resulting in duplicate accounts for him. I managed to delete one on Saturday, but one still remains. This situation is causing a lot of stress. I request that all traces of the duplicate account be removed and donations refunded to the donors. Please reach out to me via phone at [redacted] or [redacted], or email at [redacted]

Subject: Fraudulent Activity Alert at Goat Rescue of Sonoma County Dear Gofundme Headquarters, I have attempted to contact you multiple times without success. Our nonprofit organization, Goat Rescue of Sonoma County, has been operating for over eleven years, rescuing goats as pets, not for food. We are located at [redacted] Pressley Rd. in Santa Rosa, CA, following losing our original location to foreclosure in [redacted]. There has been fraudulent activity involving a person named Nikki Horrell regarding our goats and fundraising efforts. Nikki Horrell misused funds intended for Goat Rescue of Sonoma County, denying us the resources we desperately need to continue our rescue mission. Despite our demands for the return of the funds, she has refused to comply. We are requesting your assistance in redirecting the misappropriated funds back to Goat Rescue of Sonoma County at [redacted] Willow Dr. Petaluma, CA [redacted]. Additionally, we are currently involved in litigation with Nikki Horrell-Schmitz and require all relevant documentation pertaining to her fundraising activities on Gofundme. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Ken Zamvil and Nancy Brotman Goat Rescue of Sonoma County [redacted] or [redacted] [redacted] Willow Dr. Petaluma, CA [redacted]

Fraud Alert: I recently discovered a concerning issue with a fund set up to assist a family in need, where the beneficiary listed was Sarah Ertman. The reason for the fund's initiation kept changing, initially intended for the family, including the brother, mother, and daughter. Unfortunately, it appears the funds were mismanaged, as Sarah's mother had to take out a loan to cover funeral expenses. This situation is distressing and may require legal intervention. It's disheartening that someone may have exploited donors' goodwill and profited from a family tragedy. Referring to the comments section, there are concerns about the funds not reaching the intended recipients. Donors are wondering how they can reclaim their contributions. The reputation of this fundraiser is at stake due to such actions, which is disappointing as it was meant to serve a noble cause. As a result of this experience, my trust in such initiatives has been shaken. Considering my own financial struggles, I am contemplating starting a fundraiser for myself to alleviate medical bills, house payments, and other debts. It's concerning how easily such situations can occur. - A Concerned Aunt

I am worried about a situation involving a person who set up a GoFundMe using their PayPal account on my behalf. Initially, he claimed I was the only person who didn't receive funds from the campaign. He mentioned winning $5,[redacted], which magically increased to $15,[redacted] within a week. He later mentioned that my account was removed from GoFundMe, despite claiming to have spoken with them earlier. When asked for the contact number for GoFundMe, he suddenly claimed he didn't have it and advised me to Google it. Additionally, he has asked for rides to the casino and the city. He doesn't have a regular job but sells items online. The situation has become increasingly suspicious, with inconsistencies in his stories. I believe there may be something fraudulent happening. I would appreciate it if someone from your organization could look into this matter. Thank you.

I have a question about whether I should sign up for GoFundMe. I feel embarrassed asking. Do family and friends need to know if I've contacted them before? They say to "go hang out in there," but offer no real help. I'm really worried about my situation. I am handicapped with MS and in a wheelchair. I fell 1 1/2 years ago and fractured my cervical spine, requiring immediate surgery. It has made my situation worse. I have part-time health assistance but need full-time help as I can hardly do anything on my own. My bills are behind, and although I'm trying to get help, insurance doesn't cover it. I currently work part-time, 5 hours per day. I need assistance with catching up on my condo and association fees, as well as food and other overdue bills. I had my utilities turned off last week but managed to have them turned back on. I just need a little help to get caught up and maybe more. This situation is a real mess right now. I receive social security income, but it's not enough to catch up. Currently, I can only get food from a shelter once a month, and it's not much. I'm considering getting help to manage my budget as I try to catch up on bills to avoid losing my home.

I have contacted the company twice but have not received a response. I created a Gofundme page named Roger Kirkland Memorial Scholarship for a friend who passed away. Two donors accidentally clicked the 10% tip button, reducing their $[redacted] donations to $[redacted] each. They want the full amount restored. I am the account manager, but I am unable to reverse the tip. I reached out to the organization for help, but they have not responded to my inquiries. While I understand the monitoring fee, the lack of response is concerning. Note that the email used to set up the fund is different from the one I am using to contact the organization.

My account was unexpectedly deleted, and refunds were issued without a proper explanation. Even when I inquired about the reason, I only received a generic auto-reply. The individual who initially set up my account also received the same automated response. Dear GoFundMe Customer, We have been notified that our payment processor is no longer able to handle transactions for your account, leading to the removal of your GoFundMe account. Regrettably, we are unable to provide specifics regarding this action. All contributions made to your cause that were not previously withdrawn have been reimbursed and will reach your donors within 3-7 business days. Sincerely, The GoFundMe Team

Having resided here for 32 years, I am now facing foreclosure due to surviving solely on social security. Originally, my wife and I moved here for our shared love of horses, but she left 18 years ago after becoming involved in a religion. Over the years, we have cared for a number of horses, with only two remaining now, one of which I helped deliver and who is now 29 years old. My life has revolved around caring for these animals, yet financial struggles persist. Despite my efforts, securing additional employment to supplement my income has been fruitless, likely hindered by my credit history. Recently, my aging pickup truck experienced brake failure, leading to a collision that damaged the vehicle significantly. At nearly 76, I am weary from decades of hard work maintaining the property and caring for the horses, often with minimal outside assistance. Despite the challenges, I am determined to see through my goal of providing a peaceful life for my horses Bonehead and Spirit, as they are like family to me. It may seem unconventional, but their well-being is my priority as I reflect on my life's journey.

I have an account to cremate my son Ron Rezzy. I have also linked my bank account number and routing number. I was expecting the funds to be released on September 28, [redacted], but I have not received the money. I received a Campaign alert stating my campaign is under review and all withdrawals are on hold. I have not received any emails or calls despite trying to contact for three weeks. I set up my account with Chase bank but have had no luck. I also mentioned in a previous communication about the 4-digit number [redacted] that I don't recognize. Please contact me to provide an update on the situation. Thank you, Patricia Martin.

I created a GoFundMe campaign about 2 months ago and shared it with all my Facebook and Messenger contacts. I am puzzled that I have not received any donations yet to help me reach my $3,[redacted] goal for a new car. I am beginning to wonder if GoFundMe might be redirecting the donations somewhere else. I am planning to reach out to my congressman, Mr. Yoho, to investigate the legitimacy of GoFundMe as it appears they prioritize campaigns that aim for larger amounts due to the fees they collect. I am determined to get to the bottom of this situation and seek answers.

I have been eagerly anticipating an update regarding my GoFundMe withdrawal. My son's body has been with the coroners for several weeks now. I provided my routing and account numbers weeks ago but have not received the funds. I want to ensure that my donors' contributions are safe and that I am not being scammed. Though I was informed that the safety team would contact me two days ago, I have not heard anything. I was told Gwyneth would assist, but if needed, I can come to Redwood City tomorrow morning. My routing number is [redacted]20 and account number is [redacted][redacted]. If necessary, I will visit the Redwood City police department and the San Mateo D.A.'s office in person to resolve this matter. I trust that this is a reputable company. Sincerely, Patricia M.

Today, I donated £77 to Mike for his hip surgery using my Capital One credit card in US dollars. The exchange rate at the time should have been $[redacted], but Capital One charged me $[redacted].14. After receiving an email notification, I contacted GoFundMe requesting a refund. Despite several attempts, I have not received any acknowledgment or resolution. I am seeking assistance with this matter and will escalate it with Capital One and regulatory agencies if necessary. Any updates on the status of this refund are appreciated.

I am facing a tough situation and seeking help, but I am worried about my mean parents and biological mom finding out. I want to create a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for a plane ticket to visit my kind sister in California. I feel trapped by fake friends and mean households, and I need to escape these challenging circumstances. How can I reach out to people who might donate to support someone like me? I am not good at college assignments, but I am curious about a girl who showed interest in me. If I am unable to find distant donors, would it be alright to use a fictional name for the campaign? I am cautious because I fear the repercussions from the people I dislike in my local area.

I recently had a family friend who has known us for over 23 years assist in setting up an account for a 22-month-old baby my daughter was fostering to adopt. Unfortunately, our family is now facing the distressing situation of losing the baby as the friend has decided to redirect the donations to the biological father, who has not been present since birth. Despite the account being in my name, I am unsure of the email she used. At this point, monetary matters are insignificant, and we are seeking guidance on whether the donations can be returned to the original donors or if they are irretrievable. We possess receipts from Forest Lawn Mortuary in Cypress, California. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, C. Bartos.

I am reaching out to request the removal of a GoFundMe page that features my daughter's baby photo without our permission. My daughter, who is 18 years old, did not authorize the use of her child's image for fundraising purposes. We kindly ask for the prompt removal of the page. Additionally, the individual behind the page has been making inappropriate attempts to exploit my daughter and her baby for financial gain, even suggesting welfare assistance which was rightfully declined. We urge this person to seek employment and refrain from using our family for personal benefit. Their GoFundMe username is lezbianprincessxceptit. Thank you for addressing this matter swiftly.

Hello, I recently created a GoFundMe page to raise funds to bring a member of our Facebook group to the World of Concrete convention in Las Vegas in January [redacted]. Unfortunately, I was unaware that the beneficiary would not be able to withdraw the funds due to his location in an unsupported region. The funds are currently inaccessible until I am made the beneficiary so that I can use the funds to cover his airfare and accommodations. I will also be hosting him during his trip to the USA. I need assistance in making this beneficiary change. Thank you in advance for any help or guidance you can provide.

The GoFundMe page named "Mother's Heart," created by Johnny Long Le from Toledo, contains misinformation. The court case concluded on 9/28/18, and the judge made a final decision. The mother declined two free lawyers during the trial. Personal information has been shared on the page without consent. I reached out about this issue a week ago, but no action has been taken. Permission was not granted to use the children's pictures. Kindly remove this content from your site. I am willing to provide necessary paperwork to confirm this closed court case. Please contact me promptly.

I updated my email on Facebook but GoFundMe still has my old email listed as the primary one, causing issues accessing my account due to a forgotten password. Despite successfully receiving donations for my father's funeral, GoFundMe hasn't transferred the money as expected. The withdrawal date shifted from 9/24/[redacted] to 10/12/[redacted]. I need urgent assistance as my family and I still need to cover funeral expenses. My attempts to contact GoFundMe have been unsuccessful. Can you help me resolve this problem by verifying my account and updating my email address associated with it? My Facebook account is under Ruth Madera Mitchell. Please contact me at [redacted] since I no longer have access to my old email at [redacted] Thank you. Ruth.

I'm experiencing issues with my accounts being canceled. My virtual bank account is crucial for receiving financial assistance from family members. I don't understand why my uncle's donations led to this action. Setting up a new account was also shut down within 24 hours without explanation. It's distressing to have the only means of receiving funds abruptly cut off. How can I resolve this and reactivate my account? The website's purpose is to accept donations, but now it seems there's judgment on who receives help and how frequently. It feels unjust to limit donations or set a mandatory tip amount when a choice is given. I'm seeking clarity on this matter in a detailed response, as there's no available contact number for immediate assistance. Your support in understanding these issues further is appreciated.

My accounts got canceled unexpectedly. I rely on these services during tough times as my family is unable to assist me in any other way due to my virtual bank account. I suffered a loss during a recent vacation where I lost all my important documents and cash, making it challenging to access any funds or even start a new job. I had friends and family supporting me through your platform, but you suddenly disabled their accounts without providing a reason. I even tried opening a new account, but it was closed within 24 hours. I'm unsure if this is related to the tip amount, as I usually select an amount less than 20% or 10%. Please, I desperately need your help. Kindly explain the situation and guide me on how to reactivate my accounts. As a single mother facing extreme difficulties, I would appreciate a detailed response via email rather than a generic one. Thank you for your assistance.
