I bought three GE appliances approximately 18 months ago: a microwave, stove, and refrigerator. Recently, I've been dealing with issues concerning the refrigerator's ice maker. Despite contacting customer service multiple times, the problem persists. Initially, I inquired about the low ice production, only to be told it was normal. During the warranty period, I reported the ice maker stopped working but was then informed the warranty had expired by 3 months. Now, the ice maker is malfunctioning again, and the refrigerator is cycling every 10-15 minutes. I am frustrated with GE's lack of support. Given the recurring ice maker problem, I expect GE to honor their product and repair it free of charge. I faced similar challenges with the microwave, requiring three installations to receive a functional one. While I have been a loyal GE customer, my satisfaction is at stake. I urge GE to demonstrate commitment to customer service by addressing the ice maker issue promptly.

I recently had a GE service technician assess my new GE dishwasher. Unfortunately, they determined that the dishwasher is unrepairable due to issues with the frame rivets coming apart. GE was supposed to contact me with a case number and details for returning the dishwasher, but I have not received any communication from them. I've spent over three hours on hold trying to speak to a live person without success, despite leaving my phone number for a return call. I am requesting that GE arranges to pick up the dishwasher, refunds the purchase amount to my bank card, and addresses the structural issues. The technician advised against using the dishwasher due to the problems. However, an individual claiming to be a GE "Technical Specialist" stated that despite the structural disrepair, the dishwasher is still considered functional, which I find perplexing and concerning.

To whom it may concern,
I have owned a GE gas range for 13 years and had a similar experience with a previous one at a different location. However, my recent encounter with GE delivery service has been disappointing. Initially scheduled for a Saturday delivery, it was canceled and rescheduled for today (Sunday). Unfortunately, the tracking system was unreliable, leaving me unaware of the servicemen's arrival until they called merely 3 minutes before. They failed to ring the doorbell, as evidenced by our security footage, and hastily departed as we opened the door. Despite contacting them, they did not return, citing instructions from the "contractor" Aldo. This unprofessional conduct has led me to request a refund of the installation fee as a gesture of apology. I am disappointed with this service experience and hope for a prompt resolution.
Thank you.

After being on hold for 40 minutes, I finally spoke with a Customer Relations representative today. I informed her about an issue with my 5-year-old GE 25 cu.ft. stainless steel side-by-side refrigerator. I discovered a long crack on the left side wall in the freezer area. Despite being advised by the retailer to contact GE, the agent mentioned it is a cosmetic problem and cannot be addressed since it will not impact the freezer's functionality. I requested documentation regarding the engineer's evaluation, but she stated it was unavailable. I am suspicious as she seemed familiar with this problem. Is this a common unaddressed issue? The suggestion of buying a new refrigerator for a just over 5-year-old unit is disappointing, especially since my other kitchen appliances are also GE. I anticipate a timely and satisfactory resolution to this matter. Dissatisfied with the situation, Kim F.

We received our new GE dryer on June 22, [redacted], but discovered upon first use that the door would not close properly. I promptly arranged for a service appointment on 6/30/21 to address the issue. After inspection, it was determined that the door was defective and the dryer needed to be exchanged. Home Depot advised contacting GE Warranty at 1-[redacted] for pick-up and replacement. Despite a long wait time of 1 hour and 46 minutes on hold, I am holding out to speak with a representative as I won't be available for a callback due to work tomorrow.

Hello, my name is Heather Z. I purchased a NEW GE washing machine a month ago in May [redacted]. It malfunctioned on day 28, and the repair technician who visited on Tuesday, 06/29/[redacted], identified a faulty locking mechanism as the cause, rendering all cycles inoperative. I received a voicemail yesterday indicating that the required part won't reach the repair company until 7/26/[redacted], with installation scheduled for 7/29/[redacted]. Despite reporting the issue to GE on 06/21/[redacted], one day beyond my 30-day warranty with Lowes, I face an extensive period without a functional washing machine that cost $[redacted]. This predicament is unreasonable considering I've only had the machine a short while. As a mother of three and a healthcare worker dealing with Covid-19, I urgently need a working washing machine to maintain hygiene for my family. I am seeking a prompt discussion with a manager regarding a refund for the defective machine to facilitate its replacement from Lowes. The situation, attributed to a common locking mechanism problem in GE machines, has left me extremely dissatisfied. If you require further information, please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you, Heather Z.

Hello, I purchased this washer in April [redacted], and it was replaced shortly after due to a leaking gear case with oil and grease accumulating at the bottom of the washer. I had a repair technician assess it, and they confirmed the same issues persist. I am seeking a resolution as this is the second time I have faced identical problems. I am looking for a refund, as repairing it would cost $[redacted].00, in addition to the $[redacted].56 I paid for the assessment by Mr. Appliance of Sewell. I have documentation of the payments and the issues encountered. I am frustrated with the situation and have been waiting on hold with the Customer Relations Department for over 2 hours. Thank you for your assistance.

On May 23rd, a technician visited my home to order a replacement glass stove top for my new slide-in oven/cooktop. Despite multiple attempts to inquire about the delivery status with no success, FEDEX informed me the item was considered lost in transit after being loaded onto a truck on 5/24. GE mentioned the glass top is back-ordered until 9/20, four months after my original order. Order # [redacted]. Requesting expedited processing as waiting four months is overly extended, and uncertainty lingers if the replacement will arrive. Despite contacting customer service three times, I have not managed to speak with a representative. Frustrating experience overall.

Five weeks ago, my GE Washer GFW490RPK0DG experienced issues with initiating a wash cycle. The front load door locked, displaying "pause" on the dashboard whenever I attempted to use the machine. Even after several attempts to troubleshoot by powering off and on, the problem persisted. GE customer service scheduled a technician to come ten days later. When the technician arrived, the dashboard lights were flashing, indicating a potential control unit problem that would cost around $[redacted] to fix. A part was ordered, but upon its arrival, it turned out to be the wrong item. Frustrated by the delay and the wrong part, I sought help from a local appliance repair service, and a genuine GE replacement part was installed. However, the washer still does not work, as only GE can reset the control unit, according to the technician. Despite calls from the GE service technician, the correct part has not yet arrived. I am wary of the previous technician's diagnosis and am unsure if the control unit was truly faulty or if there is another underlying issue causing the problem.

I bought a GE Profile refrigerator 15 months ago. During this time, I've been bombarded with offers for extended warranties. Today, my refrigerator stopped working. It's disappointing for an appliance to fail so soon after purchasing. I suspected something like this might happen if I didn't purchase the extended warranty. I run a blog with 40,[redacted] followers and I feel compelled to inform them about this poor craftsmanship. I believe you, too, will be unhappy to hear about my experience.

My refrigerator has turned off four times, and the necessary part will not be available until October 10. I am looking to replace the refrigerator. I have tried contacting multiple numbers provided, but I have faced challenges reaching the right department due to the requirement of a case number. The replacement number I was given turned out to be for air conditioners, which has added to the frustration. I have made numerous unsuccessful attempts and have noticed others facing similar issues with GE online. I can be reached at [redacted] or contacted via email at [redacted] Please provide a phone number and a CASE # for the replacement process, or schedule a time for the pickup and delivery of my new appliance.

My washing machine, a little over 2 years old, has completely stopped working. On May 18th, I had the first appointment scheduled for May 21st (confirmation #[redacted]38), but it was rescheduled last minute for July 16th. After they fixed it, replacing the transmission, the washer lights were not syncing with the cycle and it stopped working when I tried to do laundry. I called them again, and the original technician found issues with the UI, control board, and mode shifter, ordering parts for repair.
Despite multiple repairs, the washer is still not working. The technician ran another cycle, claiming it was fixed, only for it to fail again when I used it. I'm frustrated as I paid $[redacted].92 for unsuccessful repairs and have spent about $[redacted] on laundromat expenses since May, totaling $[redacted].92. Now, I am left with a broken washer and additional costs. I have contacted customer relations, but the issue remains unresolved.
I am seeking assistance in resolving this ongoing problem with my washer.

I have a GE refrigerator with a faulty ice maker. A GE technician replaced parts multiple times with no success, even after installing a new circuit board and fan motors. Despite seeming to work initially, the next day the freezer was at 50°F and the refrigerator at 55°F, spoiling all the contents. This unit is only 9 years old, and the recurring issues are disappointing. I appreciate the technicians' efforts but have decided to dispose of the refrigerator and purchase a new one from a different brand, as I've always had GE appliances until now.

My washing machine is just over 2 years old and has completely stopped working.
I originally booked a service for May 21st, but it was rescheduled last minute to July 16th. The technician replaced the transmission, but after they left, the lights were not synchronized with the cycle and the washer stopped working entirely. I had to hand-wring my clothes and take them to the laundromat.
After a second visit, it was determined that the UI, control board, and mode shifter needed replacement. However, after the repairs, the washer still did not function properly. I contacted customer service, but the technician could not identify the issue.
I paid $[redacted].92 for unsuccessful repairs, and have spent an additional $[redacted] on laundromat expenses since May. In total, I have spent $[redacted].92 on a still malfunctioning washer.

We recently bought a new house with GE appliances, and my dishwasher stopped working after 6 months. I contacted Pro Tech in Summerville for repair. Despite promises to call me back about the part needed, they never did. After several failed follow-ups, I contacted GE directly, but there were still delays. Pro Tech assured me the part was coming on Oct11, but I never received it. Subsequent calls were unhelpful, with long hold times and disconnections. It's been 3 frustrating months without a working dishwasher. I am deeply disappointed by Pro Tech's service, and GE should be concerned about their reputation. This experience is unlike any I've had with GE appliances previously. Please assist in resolving this situation.

I purchased a GE fridge from Home Depot on August 4th, and it has never worked properly since. Despite 2 delivery attempts, 3 visits from GE technicians, and a Home Depot customer service agent visiting my home, the fridge still did not get fixed. Eventually, I was told the fridge would be replaced. I received a voicemail from JBC delivery service claiming they had the wrong address for delivery, but the message did not include their number. After some effort, I found their contact information and called Home Depot for assistance. This entire experience with my faulty fridge has been incredibly frustrating and has caused me a great deal of stress. I believe the issues lie with GE, not Home Depot, as their customer service has been helpful throughout this ordeal. I am planning to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the appropriate state department. The repeated mishaps are unbelievable.

Subject: Continuous Issues with GE Refrigerator/Freezer
I have been facing ongoing issues with the GE refrigerator/freezer model CYE22TSHHSS that I purchased in [redacted]. Despite multiple servicing attempts and part replacements, the unit fails to maintain the correct temperature, leading to frozen fresh food. The problem persists even after numerous service calls, and with the extended warranty close to expiration, I am opting not to renew due to the high cost.
It is disappointing to experience such persistent problems with a product from a brand like GE. The lack of resolution and acknowledgment of a potential design flaw is frustrating, and it seems that many customers may share the same sentiment. Moving forward, I will be looking for a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer, as this experience has left me dissatisfied and disillusioned with GE.
Kind Regards,
B. Liburdi

I have a GE JVM3160DF888 Microwave, and the beeper sound seems to be muted. When pressing the Cancel button for three seconds, the display shows "muted," and pressing it again makes "muted" disappear. However, the beeper can be heard at a very low volume in both modes. How can I increase the beeper sound on this model? By beeper, I mean the sound the microwave makes when it completes a task like heating food.

I purchased a GE refrigerator 16 months ago and a GE dishwasher 2 years ago. The fan in the refrigerator is not working on the left side, and the dishwasher hinge is broken.
I contacted Warner Stellion in Apple Valley, Minnesota for repairs. They are not able to service the dishwasher since they have no record of selling it to us. Consequently, I have canceled the refrigerator repair with them.
As GE dealers, they should be able to handle GE equipment. Now, I am considering either asking for assistance or switching to a different manufacturer for a new refrigerator and dishwasher. If I go with the latter option, I will likely avoid GE products in the future.
Thank you.
