Hello, I am planning a trip from Finland to Bangladesh with my 4-year-old child, which includes an 11 to 12-hour layover in Doha, Qatar. I am a student and Qatar Airways offers an extra 10 kilograms for students, however, my trip involves two different airlines. The ticket I purchased shows that the flight from Helsinki to Doha is operated by Finnair, then Doha to Dhaka, and Dhaka to Doha by Qatar Airways, and finally from Doha to Finland by Finnair. Finnair only allows 25 kilograms per traveler. I am wondering if it is possible for me to receive the extra 10-kilogram student allowance, particularly on the leg from Dhaka to Helsinki. Usually, Turkish and Qatar Airways allow 30 kilograms for regular passengers and 40 kilograms for students, but I am restricted to 25 kilograms. Considering I am traveling with a child during a long layover, I would like to know if they are allowed to have a purse, food, a diaper bag, and luggage.

Good morning, I wanted to report an issue with my baggage from a recent flight from Kuusamo to Geneva on Sunday, 26/03/23. Upon arrival in Geneva at 18:10, I noticed my baggage had a red self-adhesive tape labeled "SECURITY." I discovered that my external phone battery was missing from the protective case, which was left empty. Inside the baggage, there was a letter in Finnish that we did not retain. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, On June 12, [redacted], I was fortunate to fly with Finnair once again, which was truly a stroke of luck. Lately, I have been traveling to Helsinki frequently for work purposes. Being Hungarian by birth but living in Germany for 42 years, boarding a Finnish aircraft always gives me a special feeling. During flight AY1432, there was a minor issue that turned out to be a bit more significant for me. Throughout my 40 years of flying with various airlines worldwide, I have always preferred a seat by the aisle at the front, sometimes even in Business Class. We all have our preferences, after all. However, on this particular flight, I was unexpectedly moved from my purchased seat 6D to seat 16D due to a change to a smaller A320 instead of the initially planned A321, which was a bit disappointing for me. The crew on this flight was exceptional. They took my concern seriously and managed to find a solution just before takeoff. They were consistently kind and attentive. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff and commend Finnair for having such dedicated employees. Well done! I will definitely be recommending Finnair to others. Best regards.

I am seeking assistance regarding a cancelled flight from Manchester to Helsinki, impacting my travel to Sydney. The cancellation of Finnair Flight JL6838 on July 4th at 10:15 am has left me stranded. I flew with Finnair from Helsinki to Naples on August 1, [redacted], and unfortunately, my luggage was damaged during the flight. To claim compensation, they require the booking code which I don't possess. This is because the agency initially booked me on a Lufthansa flight with a layover in Munich, causing an hour delay. However, at the airport, I was put on a direct Finnair flight. They provided me with a ticket but no booking code. How can I obtain this code to fill out the compensation request form? Thank you.

On September 19, [redacted], my AY1982 flight landed amidst a staff walkout involving around [redacted] employees. It has been five days since then, and there have been no updates. The airport staff resumed work on September 30, but no one is addressing our issue. Both our bags are delayed. My flight originated from Delhi, transferred in Doha, and landed in Helsinki on AY1982. I confirmed over the phone that my bags were transferred, but I receive no information when I call daily. The lack of assistance in resolving this matter is highly unfair.
