Hi,
I recently received two emails claiming that I have won a prize from Facebook. The first email states that I have won $1,[redacted],[redacted] and instructs me to contact the "Facebook notification officer" at [redacted] The second email, allegedly from Prof Maddox Emmett, requests personal information for record keeping purposes, including my full name, address, country, gender, telephone number, date of birth, marital status, and occupation.
I am a bit skeptical about the legitimacy of these emails. Can someone please confirm if these emails are valid? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris A.

I uploaded some photos in tribute to 9/11, focusing on images of firefighters covered in dust, rubble, and the memorial. However, my account got shut down because Facebook said I violated their "statements of rights and responsibilities." I did my best to avoid graphic images of death as I intended to show respect. I have many friends who are firefighters, and this was my way of remembering them. I also mentioned my Instagram account is locked. I am confused about where I went wrong. Can anyone advise on how to resolve this issue? I strive to be respectful online and even remove explicit content from my feed. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am experiencing difficulties logging into Facebook as it indicates my old password is incorrect despite changing it two weeks ago. Unfortunately, I am unable to access the email associated with my account and provided an alternate email, [redacted] When prompted to upload a photo ID, I attempted to do so following the guidelines of visibility against a black background, yet the system did not accept it. I am seeking alternative methods for assistance as I am frustrated not being able to regain access to my account. I am hopeful for the possibility of speaking with a representative to verify my identity by sending the necessary photo. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.

I encountered an issue while hosting a Usborn books event on Facebook last night. When I attempted to comment on a consultant's post, I received an error message accusing me of misusing the feature by commenting too quickly, resulting in a block. The frustrating part is that the message did not specify the duration of the block. Despite keeping up with the pace of the event like other participants, I was the only one penalized. This situation has disrupted my party, and I remain unable to engage. I believe the imposition of the block was unjust. I urge Facebook to promptly lift the block, enabling me to resume and conclude the event. It would be beneficial for Facebook to notify users before implementing blocks, disclose the block duration, and provide more accessible customer support, such as live chat or phone assistance, rather than relying solely on email correspondence. Given the circumstances where I was unfairly blocked from my own event, I seek swift resolution to this matter.

I am confused why we can no longer see who is attending events if they are not our Facebook friends. It would make me feel more at ease attending events if I could know who will be there.
I prefer to avoid running into my ex-boyfriend's girlfriend at events, but I do not want to directly ask him if she will be present. In the past, being able to check if they were attending events together helped me avoid uncomfortable situations. Now, I have to skip events where he might be, fearing I might encounter her with him. This is a common concern, and many others likely share this sentiment.
While he is my friend on Facebook, she is not, so I am unable to view her attendance status now. I hope this issue can be resolved soon to prevent missing out on future events. It's likely that others also wish to avoid interactions with their ex's partners.
Thank you,
Silvia A. P.

I previously had a Facebook account and used an Samsung S4 phone until I encountered battery issues and switched to an Express 3 phone. While using the Express 3, I dropped it causing the keyboard to malfunction. My usual solution was to connect to my Sister's Wi-Fi at her home and use my S4 with a new battery to access it. Later, my Son gifted me an Apple i8 at the end of the year. I haven't added my email to it yet and I am still getting accustomed to the new device. I converted the Express 3 phone number to an Apple tablet under my previous AT&T plan. Recently, I tried accessing my Facebook account using the S4 Samsung phone at a McDonald's but have been facing issues transferring it to my new phone. Despite aligning Google with my new email and number, I have been unable to retrieve my messages or access Facebook on the new device. I hope someone can assist me in getting my 2,[redacted] lost Facebook friends onto my current usable phone or the old tablet under the original number. Thank you, Joan Cramer.

I am having trouble accessing my longtime Facebook account. Initially, I tried to address the issue via email, but was prompted to create a new account instead. Unfortunately, I couldn't use my full name "Jennifer Brown Kreh," so I opted for my first and married name. I attempted to retrieve my original photos to verify my identity, but then I was informed that my account had been deactivated. I followed all instructions provided. It seems unjust that my account was deactivated while others are allowed to use inappropriate language. Due to my old email being inaccessible and never receiving a password reset on my phone, I haven't been able to access my account. I haven't received assistance yet. My contact email is [redacted] I kindly request access to my original Facebook account, "Jennifer Brown Kreh," as it holds important family photos that I cannot retrieve. Thank you. - Jennifer Brown Kreh

My friends and I are facing ongoing harassment and defamation on a Facebook page called "The Heritage Academy Confessions." Despite not being officially affiliated with the college, this page is tarnishing our reputation with fabricated lies and threats. I recently graduated from The Heritage Academy where I actively participated in various events, and now, my peers and I are being targeted. I have ample evidence to support my claims and can provide screenshots upon request via email. This is not an isolated incident, and the page is in clear violation of Facebook's policies. I seek a public apology from the page creator to resolve this matter. If not resolved, I am prepared to escalate this to local authorities for public slander.

I encountered an issue with Facebook's two-factor security. The 6-digit code is sent to my phone without the country code, and I can't change the number or receive the code via email. I've tried contacting the help desk, but they just reset my password, which brings me back to needing the code. When reset, the code sent to my phone shows the country code, but the profile phone number used for security lacks it. It's a frustrating loop with no way out. Attempts by my sister to reach out through her account resulted in automated responses that weren't helpful.

I recently changed my phone number linked to my Facebook account from "[redacted]8" to "[redacted]1". However, I forgot to update this change in my Facebook settings. As a result, I no longer have access to my old phone number and cannot receive the verification codes sent by Facebook. I have made several attempts to log in, but since my account is only linked to phone numbers and not an email, I cannot recover it. I have submitted photos of my personal ID card and passport, as well as tried the selfie verification with a code, but to no avail. I am frustrated by the inability to regain access to my account.

Yesterday, I shared a picture on Facebook, and shortly after, I received a comment from the page I shared it from. I visited the main page and clicked on a link they sent, which unfortunately led to me being logged out of Facebook. I re-entered my password and everything seemed fine. However, this morning I discovered that my account had been hacked. I tried to reset my password, but the hacker changed my email address. While checking my Outlook for any messages regarding changing my password, I found nothing. I also attempted to use my phone number on Facebook without success. The hacker even altered my profile picture and name to "Ellen Degeneres" with a misspelling. Can someone assist me in recovering my Facebook account, please?

My son, Jonathan Corrales, is experiencing difficulties accessing his old Facebook accounts. He has multiple accounts but can't remember the associated email addresses or passwords and no longer has access to the old phone numbers linked to those accounts. We suspect someone tried to hack into them, and we urgently need assistance to delete them. Our goal is to keep only one account for him. Jonathan has disabilities, and my girlfriend and I have legal guardianship over him. We have informed the court about our intention to delete the accounts, and the judge has approved it. We kindly ask for your help in regaining access to these accounts to delete them or if we can provide the accounts for deletion from your end. Please contact me at [redacted] to discuss how we can proceed. Your prompt assistance is highly appreciated. Thank you. - Jody W., Jonathan's mom.

Hello, my name is Ricki, and I'm reaching out about a situation with a gentleman named Jeremy regarding his multiple Facebook accounts. Jeremy, who is older and not familiar with technology, unknowingly created 5 accounts and is having trouble accessing them. We managed to enter one account, but the one containing his wedding photos from 6 years ago is crucial to him as it includes pictures of him and his wife. We're struggling to deactivate the accounts and retrieve the photos. In all the profiles, there is a contact named Crystal Harris. The latest account we accessed is linked to [redacted], and we added a new profile picture and updated details. If you need to reach Jeremy, you can contact him at [redacted] or me at [redacted] This situation is challenging due to Jeremy's limited tech knowledge. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently received a notification about someone trying to access my account, prompting me to reset my password. However, the next day, I found my Facebook account completely wiped out when I tried to log in on the app. I forgot to save the new password as I usually stay logged in. When trying to reset the password, it directed the steps to an old Yahoo email I no longer use, not my current one. The email address associated with my account is inactive for years, leaving me unable to reset the password through it. Additionally, I never added my phone number as a backup. Facebook recognizes my number as linked to a previous user, not me. I am looking for assistance in accessing my account to safeguard my personal information and restore my connections and photos.

I believe my Facebook account has been hacked. My name on Facebook is RoseShelley Sutherland. Approximately an hour ago, I was logged in, but when I tried to log in again at home, I couldn't remember my password as I usually use the remember password feature or one-touch login from my phone. I tried the forgot password option, and it wanted to reset it via an SMS to my phone number. After inputting the code and resetting the password, I saw a profile for someone named David Beaur. When I try to indicate that it's not me, I'm prompted to resend a code to my phone, but I'm not receiving it now. I'm worried that my phone might have been hacked, especially since I have my banking app on it. Unfortunately, I can't afford to pay for any help, so I'm hoping for guidance to regain access to my Facebook account.

I have noticed transphobic bullying on Facebook which clearly violates your community guidelines. However, every time I report it, I am informed that it does not.
The post includes a non-consensual picture of a trans woman I know, leading to bullying, misgendering, and inappropriate comments. This behavior, such as labeling all trans women as sexual predators, directly contradicts your guidelines.
Facebook offers a way to report hate speech based on gender identity, but it feels ineffective when the protection of transgender individuals is neglected. Please do more than symbolic gestures of support, like pride reacts, and actively prevent bullying of LGBT+ individuals on your platform. This is crucial, especially on suicide prevention day, considering Facebook's recent commitment to aiding those struggling with suicide and self-harm, particularly the high rates among transgender individuals.

I believe my account has been hacked. I have noticed that an iPhone device with a different IP address than mine keeps logging into and out of my account. At times, my password has been changed, and I have had to go through the process of resetting it by clicking on "forgot my password." Furthermore, my ex-partner (the father of my baby) whom I no longer associate with has been using my old iPhone since our separation. While my Facebook account had been logged out from that device after we parted ways, I forgot to change my iCloud password. After my account was hacked, I checked the devices using my iCloud account and noticed that the iPhone my ex-partner has been using was still logged in. I hadn't changed my iCloud password until today when I detected misuse. I used to share the iCloud account with my ex-partner so that he could download items, but I never changed it after we separated, thinking he wouldn't access my data. Please assist me in recovering my Facebook account. Thank you for your help.

I am facing difficulty accessing my old Facebook account. I have submitted my government ID, changed my password, and attempted to receive the verification code via text with no success. I suspect someone may be intercepting the codes. I urgently need to regain access as I fear someone may post compromising photos and videos on my account. This situation is distressing and has the potential to impact my loved ones. Prompt assistance in recovering and deleting my account is crucial. While I reached out for help via chat and was informed of a 3-5 day response time, I have not received assistance after waiting for over a week. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with a support representative over the phone to swiftly resolve this issue.
