Personally, I do not have friends or relatives added on Facebook but can still message them. The individuals on my Facebook friends list are individuals I used to play "Farmville" with around 15 years ago. Instead of requesting to identify spouses and children, using security questions would be more convenient. It would also be less strict if someone is logging in from a different computer but knows their password. Hackers would not have this information. Additionally, using either my real or fake birthday does not work. Websites should not have the right to ask for your date of birth as it can potentially lead to security breaches in your financial accounts.
