The following are issues that customers reported to GetHuman about Facebook customer service, archive #205. It includes a selection of 20 issue(s) reported September 19, 2018 onward. If you have a similar customer service issue, this page will help you find current, up-to-date answers and solutions too.
I am facing two issues currently. First, I am unable to access my account under the username "Lo Minor" as the recovery questions are unrelated to me. Unfortunately, I do not remember the email I used to create this account, which I made when I was 11 years old. Yahoo does not seem to have any customer service support available. Is there an alternative method to recover my account?
Secondly, there is a Facebook account linked to my current email/phone number, [redacted], with the name "Keith," which is not me. I suspect this account is involved in scam or fraud activities. I would like to have this account either deleted or disabled, if feasible.

On August 16, [redacted], a Facebook Marketing Expert named O'Brien ([redacted]) reached out to me to discuss lead generation. During our call, he appeared rushed and hurried. I shared issues with my ad account ([redacted][redacted]), and he suggested creating a video ad, promising to follow up on August 27, [redacted]. Despite no updates, I emailed him on August 29, [redacted], and then again on September 4, [redacted], without any response. It's worth noting that Facebook initiated contact multiple times for an appointment, which I agreed to. The lack of communication and follow-through from the Marketing Expert is disappointing. I seek assurance from Facebook about addressing this to maintain our business relationship.

I am having trouble with my Facebook page. When I try to like something by clicking the thumbs-up button, it briefly turns blue but then goes back to white. This happens every time I visit. I'm not sure what is causing this. Does anyone else have the same issue? It doesn't happen constantly, but repeatedly. I appreciate Facebook's work and would like to know if anyone else experiences this problem. Thank you, Facebook, for your hard work. Have a blessed day!

The business I work for has been facing issues with getting ads approved on Facebook for the last few months. We are a Chiropractic clinic and are puzzled by Facebook's insistence that our posts violate their ad policies by appearing to be political. Despite numerous appeals, we have been met with the same response stating that we are not complying with their guidelines. We have attempted various strategies such as minimal text or just image content, but to no avail. Although we have successfully boosted posts for years, this sudden change has left us perplexed. Interestingly, our massage therapists can boost posts as long as they are not linked to our business page. We are unsure if the problem lies with our business page or our boss's personal page, both sharing the same email address. We are reluctant to create a new page and are seeking a resolution to this predicament.

For the past two months, I have not been receiving all the notifications in the Facebook group I administer. Despite having notifications turned on, I am not getting alerts for every comment and post in the group.
It has become challenging to effectively manage the group without immediate access to notifications. Currently, I have to manually check each post to stay updated on the group activity.
As an active member, the time and mental stress of this situation are overwhelming. I feel unfairly penalized without cause.
I am seeking a resolution to ensure that when all notifications are enabled, I receive every notification promptly.

I attempted to transfer admin rights from my personal FB profile to my work profile for various groups/pages. I was logged into my work profile successfully. After adding the work profile as an admin for the groups on my personal profile, I switched back to my work profile but found myself locked out. FB is now requesting personal identification like my driver's license, SSN, and bank statements. I am not comfortable providing this level of detail just to regain access. I don't use a photo of myself on my profiles, so I question how FB can verify my identity. This situation is frustrating.

Dear Instagram Support,
I want to express my gratitude for providing such an amazing platform. I am Alyse Gray, a pathologists' assistant and the owner of @autopsy.pathology, an educational account. Using Instagram, I have been able to reach out to others, especially women, helping them explore career options in scientific fields and providing support to those dealing with illnesses or loss. My aim is to educate and facilitate thoughtful discussions on various topics related to art, medicine, and culture.
However, I am currently facing some issues with my account. Several of my posts have been deleted, and it appears that my account has been shadowbanned. Most recently, two of my posts were removed. One was a video of a Tibetan sky burial, a cultural practice that I shared with respect and sensitivity, while the other post depicted the consequences of drunk driving as a warning to raise awareness.
I believe that my account adds value by creating meaningful discussions, and I kindly request Instagram to not shadowban or delete my posts without valid reasons, similar to the approach taken with other users like @Mrs_Angemi. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
Thank you,
Alyse Gray, MS, PA(ASCP)

Hi, I recently misplaced my phone with the number [redacted], and unfortunately, my Facebook account was linked to it. I have a new phone now with the number [redacted] and would like to regain access to my original Facebook account under the name Pam Wallace. When attempting to recover my account, it prompts to send a code generator to my old phone number. Since I no longer have access to that number, I would appreciate if the code could be sent to my email address watsonpamela537@gmail .com or [redacted] I have not been receiving the codes when trying to recover my account, so any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.
Best,

I returned home to find a friend request on Facebook from an account named Ananth Ananth. The individual seemed familiar and lived nearby, so I accepted the request. Soon after, I received messages and video calls from the person who claimed to be a girl. During the video calls, she started undressing and asked me to do the same. Feeling uncomfortable, I declined, but the person insisted. Unfortunately, I succumbed to pressure and briefly exposed myself on camera. The video ended with a demand for money, threatening to share the footage with my family, friends, and online. I deeply regret my actions and seek advice on whether Facebook can assist in such situations and how to proceed.

Hello! I am having trouble creating an @username for my Facebook page. The username "dizadjimusic" is already taken, but it belongs to me. I tried to set up a page with the same email address a few weeks ago, but I faced issues with verification, and the page was not successfully created. It seems the username is still associated with that failed attempt. Could you please delete the existing username "dizadjimusic" so I can use it for my new page? Let me know if you require any verification that I am the rightful owner of the username. I can provide the picture used for verification, which features me and another bald guy. I realize now that having two people in the image may have caused the problem. Thank you.

Last night, my account was hacked, and I got locked out. I managed to change my password and regain access. However, today, when I tried to log in again, it required an authentication code that I never received. I suspect that the hacker may have activated this feature without my knowledge. Some of my friends received odd messages from my account. I sent a selfie with a code from the help section this morning, but I still need assistance to resolve this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Tiffany F.

Hello, I'm Kristina Soucy, and that's also my name on Facebook. I've been facing issues with Facebook continuously resetting my password whenever I try to log in. Each time I had to create a new password, and to retrieve it, I had to access my emails. Unfortunately, I have two emails - an old one I used during my teenage years to sign up for Facebook, and a newer one. Facebook has reverted to my old email address, [redacted], which I no longer have access to due to forgetting the password as it's been over a decade since I've used it. My current email is [redacted], and if I could link it to my Facebook account, I could reset my password. I attempted creating a new Facebook account to retrieve my pictures, but my original account is private, and I can't access the images of my child growing up over the years. Losing these photos has been distressing for me. I'm reaching out for assistance. Thank you for your help.

My sister-in-law was browsing through Facebook and found a profile using my pictures and pictures of my children. It seems like someone has hacked into my Facebook and email accounts because when I tried to access my email, it was blocked. The profile under the name Moustafa Ali is using my email address [redacted] I want this Facebook account taken down immediately. They have changed the profile picture and name but are using my personal photos. I am very concerned for my safety and that of my children. I have no idea who this person is or how long they have had access to my accounts. Please take action to resolve this situation as soon as possible.

While using the Facebook buy and sell feature, I mistakenly sent packages to the wrong addresses for two customers. I didn't intend to send the wrong items, but it happened due to an error. I requested a week to resolve the issue due to financial constraints, but they kept contacting me persistently. Feeling overwhelmed, I temporarily blocked them. However, I was shocked to see negative posts about me circulating on Facebook, and people began contacting me aggressively. This situation caused me distress, leading me to deactivate my account to avoid further complications. - N. Bartlett

I am experiencing difficulties with Facebook. I attempted to resolve a hacking issue with Mike regarding my account. Initially, we discussed a $50 Google Play card for assistance, but the next day, he requested two cards valued at $50 each instead of the previously agreed $50. Upon speaking with a manager about this discrepancy, I was assured they would resolve the issue for free. However, after attempting to fix the problem, I was informed it would cost $[redacted]. Unfortunately, I cannot afford this. It has been over three weeks now, and I have not received a refund of the initial $50. I am concerned about the delay and would appreciate a resolution.

I've had my first Facebook account for quite a while. It has pictures from junior high up to my daughter's first birthday, and I enjoy staying in touch with friends and distant family members. Unfortunately, my Facebook was hacked last night, and then my actual account was compromised. I've provided a picture of myself along with my work ID and driver's license in hopes of resolving this issue. My Facebook name is Nikki Raybon, but my birth name is Emily Raybon. I used a different birth year on Facebook when I created it because I was young and wanted to protect my personal information. I work for the state, which has strict social media policies. I'm having trouble regaining access to my Facebook account as friends reported my attempts to create a new profile, resulting in my phone number and email being blocked from creating another account.

After changing my password on my account, I switched phones. However, when I attempted to log into Facebook on my new phone, it indicated the password was incorrect. Upon receiving a reset code via text, it auto-filled but still showed as invalid, prompting me to retry. Attempting to receive the code via email and manually inputting it resulted in a message that I've surpassed the allowed attempts and must wait 24 hours. As I need to send my old phone back under warranty, I'm unable to access my Facebook account on the new device. I require help recovering my account as I'm unable to reset my password.

To whom it may concern,
I have been using the app on my Samsung S7 for two years without any issues until Tuesday morning when I received a notification that my session had expired, requiring me to log out. Unfortunately, I can't remember my password as it has been a while since I last needed it. Additionally, I no longer have access to my old Hotmail account since I switched to Gmail. Consequently, I am unable to use the messenger app, which is affecting my participation in school group discussions. I suspect my account may have been hacked, similar to what happened with my Instagram account. I could recover my Instagram account as it was linked to my Gmail. The unauthorized access on my Instagram showed activity from Iraq with messages in Arabic.
I kindly request that my account be temporarily disabled until I can regain access. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Hello Facebook Team,
I have started my campaigns on Facebook following the advert policies diligently. However, after some time, my ads account was disabled without any explanation. I am puzzled by this issue as I have always strived to abide by the rules and regulations of advertising on Facebook. I am the sole owner of my ads manager account and have engaged in only legal activities, with no unusual behavior detected in my account. I kindly request a review of this decision to re-enable my ads account so I can resume my campaigns on Facebook. I am confident that I have adhered to your policies; however, if there are any concerns on your end, I apologize and will focus on improving my skills to meet your standards. I am hopeful to regain access to my ads account.
Best regards,
Bablu

I am struggling to access my three Facebook accounts. Unfortunately, I forgot the passwords and no longer have the phone numbers or Android phones linked to two of the accounts. I'd like to keep all three accounts, but if that's not possible, I'd at least like to transfer my friends and photos to the most recent account I created. The names of the accounts are Elaine Thompson and Denise Thompson (x2). I have consistent photos of myself on the two Denise Thompson accounts and a different one on the Elaine Thompson account. My daughters Lesley B., Bridget B., and India T.-B. are on all three accounts. I would appreciate any assistance in regaining access to these accounts.
