I requested a free credit report on June 5, [redacted]. I provided my address, full name, date of birth, SSN, phone number, and email address. I received a letter from Experian dated 6/6/19 stating that I did not provide sufficient ID. I believe my SSN, name, DOB, and address should be enough. Now they are asking for bills even though they have my SSN. I just want my free credit report without any credit card offers or solicitations. Today, I opened an email from Experian received on Monday, June 24, [redacted], inviting me to view my free FICO Score. I clicked hoping to get my credit report and FICO Score but have been waiting online for 25 minutes for the processing to complete. Do I need to write to Experian with the requested info to get my credit report for free or can I access it online?

I'm a member of Experian and I'm disappointed with the online dispute process. I have around 25 accounts, including closed ones. My credit score is good, but I found an error in a closed account that shows a balance of $[redacted] despite being paid in full. Experian incorrectly flagged something different for dispute, not allowing me to specify the actual issue. The website design isn't user-friendly, using technical jargon that confuses many. Customer service is time-consuming, especially the challenging Virtual Voice system. It's frustrating when companies complicate simple processes unnecessarily. The increasing use of Virtual Voice systems by most companies seems like a manipulative tactic. Our democracy's state and the power of the oligarchy deserve closer scrutiny. It's time for us to open our eyes, think independently, and assess the direction we're heading in.

It has been extremely challenging to reach a live person at your company. Despite trying multiple phone numbers, most of them just provide unhelpful prompts. The one number that connects me to a person has terrible static noise and pressing different options doesn't lead me anywhere. I urgently need someone to call me on my cell at [redacted]. I have already completed your online form multiple times, but I require live assistance due to my disabilities. I sent my driver's license, pay stub, and other requested documents via fax last week. Today, I received my identification ID number and report ID 0[redacted]-71, but the necessary PIN for the unfreeze application was missing. Please email me back and call me tomorrow EST. If I can't answer, leave a voicemail with your contact information on a number that connects me to a real person who can assist me.

A few days ago, I temporarily lifted the freeze on my account for a credit check. However, after receiving notifications of issues, I attempted to access my account online to no avail. Unfortunately, the website does not recognize my username or password. My attempts to reach out via phone have been thwarted by malfunctioning automated functions, resulting in being disconnected. This has left me feeling at a loss on how to proceed. Upon trying to contact support again, I encountered the same problem with the automated voice lacking proper functionality and initiating with an error message instead of a standard greeting.

I have seen that there are two accounts on my credit report marked as "potentially negative." The first one is the Comenity Bank/Brylane Home account, which has been fully paid off since 7/[redacted]. Although there was a late payment in January [redacted], there have been no other late payments, and I believe that after 6 years, this should not be negatively impacting my report. The second account is with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, showing a late payment on 12/1/[redacted]. This mortgage was cleared on the same day, as I sold my house. The delay in payment was due to a complication with the buyer's paperwork, and I had never missed a payment during the 5 years of having the loan. It seems unjust to have this reflect negatively on my credit report due to circumstances beyond my control.

I've been attempting to log in to temporarily lift my credit freeze for a credit application review. Unfortunately, I'm facing login issues. Despite requesting my username (the usual one isn't working), I received an email link to an unfamiliar account. I'm looking to speak with a human from Experian to gain access to my account and lift the freeze temporarily.

After the Experian data breach, I received a notification in the mail advising me to place a credit freeze, which I did. When attempting to switch cell phone carriers, I was informed that my social security number was blocked due to the freeze. Despite removing the freeze on Experian's website, the cell phone company still encountered issues verifying the change. When trying to access my account on the Experian site again, my user credentials were not recognized, even after going through the "forgot username" process. Experian indicated they had no record of a person matching my details. I need assistance promptly to have the freeze lifted.

Hello, I hope you're having a good day. Every time I sign up with you, I encounter this issue. Whenever I attempt to log into my account, I am required to change my password constantly. I have been dealing with this problem in your app for more than a year now. Despite my complaints, there hasn't been any resolution. It's frustrating to deal with this repeatedly. I hope to see improvements in your services soon.

I am having trouble accessing my Experian credit report account. When I attempt to log in with my username and password, identity questions and a request for my PIN number come up. However, I never received a PIN number when I first signed up for my credit score, and now I am unable to log in without the correct answers to the identity questions or a valid PIN. I have tried reaching out to Experian through four different phone numbers but have been unable to speak to a representative. Instead, I keep getting redirected to reset my password, which is not what I need. I am trying to access my account, but I need assistance with the security questions and obtaining a PIN number. How can I get in touch with Experian for help with this issue?

I am encountering significant challenges when applying for credit as I keep getting turned down. This is confusing to me because our credit score is in the 800s, we are homeowners, and we have a stable retirement income. We previously faced a situation where hackers attempted to obtain a loan using our Navy Federal Credit Union savings account in San Diego. Following this incident, we requested a 7-year credit monitoring service from Experian to safeguard our accounts from fraudulent activities. However, it seems that this monitoring is now acting as a credit freeze, preventing me from securing any credit. This was implemented to protect my accounts from theft, not to hinder my own access. I am feeling very frustrated by this situation.
Sincerely,
Michael L. Morneau

I am a regular user of the JCPenney and Sam's Club credit cards issued by your company. My husband and I diligently pay off both these cards each month. However, despite this, I have encountered difficulties obtaining a TJ MAXX card due to some information issue. I, Jeanine S., from [redacted] N. 67th St., Lincoln, NE [redacted], have tried calling but my calls keep getting disconnected. I am no longer concerned about the TJ MAXX card but would appreciate clarity on the credit report matter hindering the card issuance. I have not received any specific details so far.

Subject: Dispute and Card Information Issue
I am writing to address discrepancies in the Credit Boost process. My situation is unique as my utilities are included in my monthly rent, which I have always paid on time. It is crucial to rectify this to accurately reflect my payment history. Additionally, I have been facing challenges updating my debit card information after my old card had been compromised. The system does not retain the new card details, despite my attempts. The card I currently use is 4[redacted] 8[redacted], expiring 01/22, CVV [redacted], associated with Daniel G Palik at Pinnacle Bank in Schuyler, Nebraska.
I urge you to review and adjust the Credit Boost procedures to consider my consistent payments towards utilities included in my rent at Sunshine Court in David City, Nebraska, where I have resided for 9 years without missing a single payment. I encourage contacting Sunshine Court for verification.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.
Sincerely,
Daniel G Palik

I signed up for a free trial in March '19, but was unknowingly charged $21.95 for a monthly subscription after the trial ended. Although I requested a cancellation and the charge was refunded on 5/13/19, the subscription was not actually canceled. On 6/29/19, I noticed another charge and was informed that the subscription was still active. They offered me a discounted rate to continue the Experian services, which I have not used. Due to the ongoing charges and lack of service, I am requesting a refund of $65.85 (4x$21.95 - 1x$21.95).

Hello, my name is Emily Nichols. I recently discovered unauthorized charges from your company in my bank account since September 22, [redacted], totaling $21.95 per month. I do not have an account with you, nor did I authorize these transactions. The name associated with the charges does not match mine, and I never signed up for any services. Despite disputing the charges with my bank, they could only refund me for the past 60 days. The customer service representative was unhelpful, only offering a refund for one month. I am appalled by the rude treatment I received and the lack of resolution. I demand a full refund for the six months of unauthorized charges totaling $[redacted].70. This situation is unacceptable, as I have never used your services or agreed to any membership. I urgently need this matter resolved. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Ian McVey. I need assistance with sending a subpoena to request older copies of my credit profile. I require account information and dollar amounts of collection accounts that no longer appear on my credit report. I am specifically looking for copies of my credit report from January 1 of [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. I recently submitted a subpoena to TransUnion after initial difficulty in obtaining this information. I need these records to show the IRS that during those years, my debt exceeded my income to offset tax liability. Any guidance on the process or contact details for the appropriate department or person would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Dealing with credit card fraud for over three years has left me exhausted. It's frustrating to spend time fixing issues caused by people who neglect their duties and criminals who take advantage of me. Macy's/American Express is insisting I report Identity Theft to refund the recent unauthorized $[redacted] charge they added to my bill. Recently, there have been suspicious account inquiries from Paypal and Barclays Bank that I did not initiate. Despite my busy life, with a new baby in the family, I never found time to open new accounts. To safeguard against fraud, I avoid using debit or credit cards and solely rely on my husband for transactions. The situation feels restrictive and unjust, akin to having no autonomy. Considering my knowledge as a tax preparer, I might report certain companies to the IRS for their fraudulent activities. Despite our efforts, discrepancies persist, making me contemplate paying off one more credit card before canceling them all. Seek assistance without disclosing personal information online or over the phone. Contact can be made via our shared email under the name Charles.

I am experiencing challenges with the customer service from Capital One regarding a recent data breach. I came across advice to contact the credit bureau for assistance, but I found it difficult to speak with an actual representative. While following the automated prompts, something unexpected was activated on my account that I did not intend. I simply seek guidance on safeguarding my credit and wish to reverse the action that was taken mistakenly. Moving forward, I hope to engage with a more supportive and customer-centric company. My name is Joanne, and you can reach me at [redacted]. I am seeking assistance with the issue that occurred on my account. Thank you.

Dear Experian,
In [redacted], I fell victim to bank fraud involving my checking account with US Bank. There may have been other incidents of financial fraud, potentially linked to a Federal Bureau of Investigation GOBIASS investigation. Concerns also exist about alterations to my health records, deceptive mortgage information, and a need for a thorough investigation by the authorities.
I enacted a 7-year credit freeze in [redacted] after filing a police report, which was shared with the three credit bureaus. This has left my financial health in a precarious state. I'm eagerly awaiting updates from law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, on their investigations and recommendations for my protection and legal actions moving forward.
Kind regards,
R.A. Olson

I'm requesting a Freeze or Block be placed on my account due to a security breach notification while using my online bank account. After contacting my credit union, they suggested reaching out to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion to implement a Block/Freeze on my account. I am 79 years old and got scared when I entered my SS# and started giving a credit card number before stopping and trying to delete the information. I couldn't remove my SS# in time. Please help me by putting a Block/Freeze on my account. I've been waiting over 2 hours for a callback, although you mentioned it would be within 23 minutes. Your assistance is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

About ten days ago, my apartment application was rejected due to inaccurate information on my Experian credit report. Despite accessing reports from TransUnion and Equifax promptly, I've been unable to access my Experian report. My Credit Karma account shows derogatory details, including a charged-off credit card balance from my deceased mother, for which I hold no responsibility. I disputed the issue with TransUnion and Equifax on 7/28/19, and TransUnion has already removed the account from my record. I am still awaiting Equifax's resolution. Despite several attempts online and via phone, I'm unable to access my Experian report to dispute the incorrect information. Even after creating an account and uploading identification documents, my attempts have been unsuccessful. Contacting Experian through numerous phone numbers only led to automated menus with no option to speak to a representative. I was informed I must wait up to 10 days to receive my report by mail. Regrettably, I lost the apartment opportunity due to Experian's delayed assistance, as the complex relied on their data for the background check. Resolving this with Experian remains my only solution.
