I attempted to set up a Credit Freeze but faced challenges with Equifax's verification process which led to my account getting locked. After receiving and entering the verification code, I still couldn't access my account. Despite speaking with a difficult-to-understand Customer Service Rep., I was instructed to send in various documents to unlock my account. However, after seeking online help, I was given conflicting information on what was needed and where to send it. I am concerned whether my locked account can prevent unauthorized credit applications. I am unsure of the next steps to resolve this issue, including what documents to send and where to send them.

I received emails from IDNotify while I was away regarding ending the free service and unfreezing my Equifax freeze. I tried to access the link provided by IDNotify to refreeze my account but received an error message stating my email was not recognized. I visited Experian's website to refreeze my credit and attempted to manage my freeze. I am transitioning to a new email address (Gmail) and tried to use it to manage the freeze on Experian. If this attempt fails, I will be locked out. This process has consumed much of my time today, and I urgently need to reinstate the freeze. Please update my new email address. Thank you. **Randal D.**, [redacted] Military Road, Dubuque, IA [redacted]. Your prompt response is requested.

On December 3rd, I visited Verizon to purchase a new phone and start a new service. They required a credit check, but my account had been frozen by me in late [redacted]. I had to make a call and answer some questions related to my account, but I couldn't understand some of the inquiries since I don't maintain balances on my cards. I requested to speak with a supervisor for assistance, but they stated there was nothing they could do. Feeling frustrated, I left without a new phone. Now I am looking for guidance on where and how to fax my information to unfreeze my account promptly so that I can receive my phone from Verizon. Additionally, the offer on the new phone expires in 5 days, so I'm eager to resolve this quickly and appreciate any help.

I recently applied for a credit card with Chase and was denied due to "too many applications." I find this confusing because I only applied for one store card through Amazon and one pre-approved Chase card on the same day, both being my first credit card applications in two years. Why is Chase stating that there have been too many applications opened in my name?

Subject: Regarding Credit Report Issues Dear Equifax, I am writing to address the credit discrepancies that have arisen since [redacted]. Due to a breach of my personal information, my credit was negatively impacted, and despite numerous attempts to rectify the situation, the credit agencies have been uncooperative in removing the fraudulent accounts from my report. I kindly request that all entries on my credit report since the breach be thoroughly reviewed and corrected. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action through Small Claims Court in Richmond County, Georgia for each delinquent account. I urge you to address this issue promptly by cleansing my credit history for the affected period. Please feel free to reach out to me to discuss further. Sincerely, John C. I recently applied for a business loan to cover operating expenses through my company, but unfortunately, my application was denied due to a bankruptcy issue. The thing is, I have never filed for bankruptcy in my life. After using the information from the credit report to investigate, I found out that the bankruptcy actually belongs to my brother-in-law. Somehow, the information got mixed up and ended up on my business credit report. I suspect this confusion may have happened because he used to live at the address where my business was located. I am really stressed about this unexpected situation and would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to rectify this error. Thank you for your assistance in addressing this matter.

My online banking with my credit union and other credit cards has been compromised. They believe it is my home computer that has been hacked. The hackers have already accessed my Mountain America Credit Union account and transferred $7,[redacted] to Bank of the Ozarks. They have already withdrawn the money. Moreover, my Discovery credit card had three names added as authorized users, thankfully caught before any charges were made. This issue was recently brought to my attention, and I am taking steps to prevent further damage to my credit. Additionally, my email has been compromised, so I have changed the password temporarily before considering changing my email entirely.

I am seeking an explanation as to why my credit score dropped by [redacted] points. Despite paying my bills on time and keeping my credit utilization below 30%, my Equifax score has negatively impacted me as I plan to buy a home soon. I need clear reasons why this significant drop occurred.

Hello, I am having trouble checking my credit score. I have never checked it before, and I suspect it might be low. However, every time I enter my details on a site, it either says my score is too low or can't find my information, likely because I have moved frequently and am unsure which address to use. I have attempted multiple addresses but still no luck. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Adam.

I recently settled a judgment on my credit on December 6, [redacted]. I have documentation from the creditor confirming the payment was made in full. I also obtained a satisfaction letter from the court, which was sent to the credit bureaus. However, the judgment is still appearing on my credit report, causing difficulties in renting an apartment. It has been well over a month since this was resolved. I have an important apartment interview tomorrow and would appreciate it if you could promptly remove this from my credit report. I am frustrated with the delay and inconvenience this has caused.

I am trying to inquire about my payment from the breach. When will I receive it, and why is it taking so long? Also, is this taking into account the first breach in February of the same year? I was affected in both breaches, and I need to know what steps to take as my information is being misused. Someone opened a checking account and used it at a payday loan place, causing consequences for me. I do not have a checking account. Please remove my information from the dark web, as I have confirmed it's there since the first breach in January or February [redacted]. Kindly take action promptly. Thank you. Respectfully, M. J. I am a victim of the data breach at Equifax. My credit report now shows two unauthorized accounts with charges totaling around $1,[redacted]. Additionally, a third account linked to Dish Network, which I closed after returning their equipment, has been affected. This breach has severely impacted my ability to buy a home. After consulting with an attorney, we estimate damages to be $26,[redacted]. I am considering legal action against Equifax for their negligence in safeguarding my data.

I have been attempting to contact Equifax regarding the data breach that has negatively impacted my credit score. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to reach a live agent as the recorded messages keep cutting me off. I urgently need this issue resolved due to being disabled, as it has led to difficulties accessing necessary medical supplies. The situation is particularly concerning as it involves discriminatory actions against individuals with disabilities, which goes against the Federal Trade Commission regulations and the consumer protection act. The inaccurate information on my credit report, stemming from medical-related debts not paid by my son's father, is unfairly affecting my credit score. It is crucial that this matter is addressed promptly to rectify the fraudulent activities on my account.

My latest FICO score hit its lowest point, mainly due to my Equifax score's decline. I've been struggling to access my free Equifax report, encountering issues each time I attempt to retrieve it. The initial error I faced prevented me from proceeding with the request. Now, when using equifax.com*FCRA, I find myself stuck at step *. I merely seek my credit report with all the necessary details, without committing to a subscription. I'm in need of assistance as I am unable to resolve this matter independently. I am hoping Equifax can promptly send my credit report to me via email.

I have attempted to confirm the freeze on my credit through various methods without success. I tried by telephone but was instructed to mail information. When I attempted online, my login failed and I couldn't register due to "Servers unavailable." Despite these issues, I did successfully activate the freeze and have a PIN number. How can I verify that the freeze is still in place? Additionally, how can I retrieve my account username and password or create a new account? It is worth noting that this freeze has been in place for an extended period, and I am unsure of the information provided initially. I have used different email addresses over time, including [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and possibly others. Thank you, Donald Winer.

I made a clerical error on a $[redacted].61 payment check to a creditor where I accidentally omitted the "eight" in the written amount. The creditor informed me that I could add the missing $8 to my next payment, which I did. However, they applied it to the principal instead and marked me as still owing $8, impacting my credit score. Despite my long history of timely payments over the past six years, this $8 mistake has marred my credit history. I believe it is reasonable to request the creditor to rectify this error and remove the negative mark from my credit report.

Conflicting Dispute Status I have noticed a discrepancy regarding my dispute status. Online Dispute [redacted]03 is marked as complete, and I can access the PDF. However, my credit report indicates that the investigation for the same account is still ongoing. Additionally, when I attempt to submit a new dispute for the account, it shows that the investigation from the previous dispute is still in progress. I am perplexed as to how the same dispute can be both open and closed simultaneously. I kindly request that my credit report be updated to reflect the closure of this dispute.

Reference number: 11-PEHRG6XSP010420. I have repeatedly requested through email since 12/02/20 to correct wrong details in my credit report. After a free check on Clear Credit, my rating was [redacted] which is on good ground. There are two financial associates linked to my account, the first being my mother since 24/08/[redacted], although we are not financially linked in any way. The second associate is my first childhood girlfriend from 18/11/[redacted], but we split up over 22 years ago. Additionally, there is incorrect information under a very old previous address at 5 Kite Hay Close BS16 1UW, showing recent information associated with Sky Mobile, EUI Limited trading as Admiral, Shop Direct Finance Company Ltd, etc. There is also a money sign on an old Virgin Media account. I had a similar issue with Experian, but after providing proof that no money was owed to Virgin, Experian updated the report, and now I have an excellent rating of [redacted] out of [redacted] with Experian. However, I only have a good rating of [redacted] with Equifax. Can you please correct all the mentioned issues? I am having trouble sending messages from my new online account and logging in. I have attempted to change my password, but I still face issues signing in or sending messages from my account. Please assist as soon as possible. Thank you.

My daughter, Dana H., and I purchased a Nissan Sentra in December, financing it through Navy Army Credit Union in Corpus Christi, Texas. Unfortunately, the car was totaled in March, though it wasn't my daughter's fault. Later, we found out that our Nissan total wreck coverage didn't cover all the outstanding debt as we were initially informed. This led to a delay in paying off the remaining amount. When informed by the credit union, we promptly settled the debt. However, despite being assured by Navy Army Credit Union that everything was resolved and my daughter was excused, her credit score recently dropped by 20 points. After confirming that all accounts are clear, I'm puzzled by this sudden change and seek assistance in rectifying this matter to restore my daughter's credit score. I've already spoken with NACU, and they suggested reaching out to you for further guidance. Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. David H.
