I visited Dollar Tree store #[redacted] on Hilton Head Island today at 11:31 AM. On the island, the mask requirement is viewed as an ordinance, which I believe is not enforceable. As a frequent visitor, today I went into the store without a mask and quickly made my purchase. During checkout with the pleasant young African American cashier, whom I believe is Katrina, I explained that I wasn't wearing a mask due to my stance on mask-wearing. Despite the pleasant service from Katrina, a young white employee stocking shelves nearby loudly criticized me for not wearing a mask, not understanding my personal circumstances as a recent Breast Cancer survivor. I feel staff should be retrained to provide respectful customer service regardless of mask-wearing preferences. I request the store to reconsider their signage about masks and remind employees to serve all customers respectfully. I believe in exercising my freedom regarding mask-wearing and hope for a positive response from the store to avoid further escalation.

I had a terrible experience at store number [redacted]. I was overcharged for my items, and despite bringing it to the cashier's attention, I was treated disrespectfully. I requested to add a missing item, but instead, I was accused of trying to steal. My bags were emptied on a dirty counter, and the cashier used an inventory gun to individually check each item. I felt humiliated by the way I was treated, especially when the cashier admitted to making mistakes. Unfortunately, there was no resolution, even after reviewing the security footage.

I wanted to share another video from the store at [redacted] in Spanaway. The teller there was unkind, disrespectful, and rude. I receive much less on disability as a disabled Veteran, and this treatment was unacceptable. There have been over [redacted] complaints about this behavior. When will it be addressed? I am planning to send the second video as proof of the injustice I experienced.

I am a former employee of Dollar Tree in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach. I worked there for a little over a month. Before starting, I mentioned during my phone interview that I am on disability due to 13 back surgeries stemming from an abusive relationship, chronic anxiety disorder, and PTSD. I receive benefits from Social Security and fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Unfortunately, the management was disrespectful and unprofessional. They only allowed a 10-minute break during a 4-hour shift and made it hard to even take bathroom breaks. Working there took a toll on my back and the micromanaging was humiliating. My manager and some coworkers would call me out in front of customers, creating a hostile work environment. It got so bad that I couldn't take it anymore and left without notice. I plan to address this with Dollar Tree's HR and possibly seek legal advice. My goal is to stop this abuse and ensure others don't go through the same. My name is Kelly Brunner, and you can contact me at [redacted]. Thank you for any help you can provide in this matter.

I have been a loyal customer of Dollar Tree for 5 years. My name is Reverend Terri McKenzie. I am currently traveling across the U.S. before starting my 5th business venture. I have a background in the medical field, having worked at Mt. Carmel in Columbus, Ohio for 30 years. In addition to being an author and artist, I have created my own all-natural skin care line. I am seeking opportunities, including applying to be on Shark Tank. My company, "Creations" by Savannah Grace, is ready to launch with unique products. I have plans to make my business successful and impactful. I have been purchasing supplies for my products for 2 years and was planning to launch my line last February, but circumstances delayed the process. I am looking to buy items in bulk from Dollar Tree in Columbus, Ohio, where I have been a customer. I recently had a negative experience at a Dollar Tree store in Schertz, Tx, and would like to discuss it further. If I do not receive a response from Dollar Tree, I will no longer support the company. Thank you for your time.

My recent visit to Dollar Tree was incredibly frustrating. I had to endure a 10-minute wait to find someone to check me out, while four employees were chatting amongst themselves. When I asked for a price check, I was told they do not offer that service, which seemed absurd to me. The employees at the checkout were rude and disrespectful to me and others in line. To make matters worse, the frozen items I purchased had thawed and were leaking. This level of service is unacceptable. Waiting so long and having to practically beg to make a purchase, only to then be met with arguments from the staff, is truly disappointing. Dollar Tree needs to address these issues with their employees as this has been the worst shopping experience I've ever encountered.

I would like to address an incident that occurred at store number [redacted] in White Oak, PA, on 1/11/[redacted]. The manager, Justine, accused me of grabbing her wrist, which is false. I have filed complaints but received no response. I feel embarrassed by the situation as it led to customers yelling at me. I am almost 70 years old and the accusation is ridiculous. I simply took my receipt back from her. I would appreciate speaking with the district manager about this matter.

While waiting in line at the store, my husband and I patiently took our turn to check out. However, after unloading our items, the cashier abruptly left with another customer without explanation. We waited for several minutes, becoming the only customers left. When my husband inquired about the delay, the cashier at the next register informed us that her register was locked and suggested we knock on the door the cashier had entered. Following her advice, my husband knocked, only to be met with a stern voice telling us to stop. A woman emerged and rudely insisted we leave if we couldn't wait.
Feeling disrespected, I expressed my disappointment to the cashier upon her return. I pointed out the lack of customer service and the rude treatment we received. The cashier who initially assisted us was kind and apologized for the behavior of her colleague. It was a frustrating experience that highlighted the need for better training of the store associates in providing satisfactory customer service.

I had a terrible experience at the Overland Park, Kansas store. I needed to exchange items, but the workers harassed me for arriving 10 minutes before closing. Despite having a receipt, they made rude comments about my returns, implying I should have waited until the next day to come in. When I explained that I had overbought, they continued with their disrespectful remarks. The situation escalated, and feeling bullied and threatened, I had to leave the store. As someone with a disability, this treatment was unacceptable.

On January 3, [redacted], I purchased collagen masks. After receiving an email on January 13 to pick them up by January 24, I visited the store on January 20 and January 22 but was told my order hadn't arrived yet. I was promised various times for the delivery, but it still hasn't come. I urgently need these masks for a bachelorette party on Sunday, January 23, and this delay is very disrespectful and causing stress. Please assist me promptly as I cannot afford to look bad at the event. Thank you for your attention.

I recently shopped at Dollar Tree and used some coupons. Even though coupons sometimes trigger the beep, I've had other managers at different locations override it when necessary. At this specific store, the associate didn't accept a valid coupon for the correct items. I tried to explain that Dollar Tree doesn't provide overage on coupons, but the associate seemed to struggle and showed me some code instead of overriding as done at other branches. I just want to be able to use my coupons at this convenient location where I am currently spending some time.

I visited the Dollar Tree in Sunnyside, Washington, with my son who found some Garbage Pail Kids cards he wanted to purchase for his birthday. However, at the register, the cards wouldn't ring up, and the cashier called over another woman who claimed they couldn't be sold and had to be disposed of. I asked if she could ring them up as miscellaneous items and charge me $1, but she refused and was quite rude. When I requested to speak to the manager, the lady, who said she was the assistant manager, also refused to help and wouldn't sell the cards to me. My son was very disappointed, and I'm unsure why she wouldn't complete the purchase.

On Thursday, February 11th at 2:30 PM, I visited store [redacted] at [redacted] Arden Way in Sacramento, CA 95[redacted]. During my interaction with the cashier, I politely asked him to cover both his mouth and nose. Despite my request, he only covered his mouth, claiming he had a doctor's note exempting him from covering his nose. I explained that such an exemption does not exist. He then showed me a surgical scar and mentioned a negative COVID test result in his defense. However, I emphasized that a negative test result is not a full guarantee. Observing numerous customers being served with the cashier's nose uncovered, I requested to speak to the supervisor, Sylvia. After some delay, Sylvia eventually addressed my concerns, stating she could not enforce proper mask-wearing among her employees. Despite her reluctance to provide her last name, Sylvia suggested I file a complaint. The lax attitude towards safety protocols regarding COVID-19 at this store is worrying, and I believe immediate action is necessary to ensure the well-being of both staff and customers.

I placed an order for a Valentine's Day bouquet a month in advance, specifically requesting one of every Valentine's Day balloon available at the store. I confirmed this with the manager, Sandy, and a cashier on multiple occasions. When I picked up my order today, I was disappointed to find that the balloons did not include any "I love you" or heart-shaped balloons as requested. The manager, Jackie, claimed I didn't specify my choices, but there were other bouquets in the store with the balloons I wanted. This same store gave away my pre-ordered Mother's Day bouquet last year because I couldn't pick it up before noon. The staff has been rude, and the service is slow despite my frequent visits. It's frustrating to have my orders mishandled twice. I expected better customer service, maybe a discount or gesture of apology, but received none. I will be taking my business elsewhere for future balloon purchases.

My girlfriend, our roommate, and I went shopping on the night of February 23, [redacted], around 8:00 pm. Upon entering the store, we heard yelling from the back where a store employee was arguing with a customer over an alleged theft. I found it concerning as it was just a dollar; it could have been resolved amicably. During our 15-minute visit, I witnessed multiple people being accused of stealing by a confrontational staff member. It appeared to be a recurring pattern where the employee targeted individuals, sometimes wrongly. This behavior upset me, prompting me to consider informing the local newspaper about what I observed. The accusations seemed unfounded, leading to embarrassing encounters for innocent customers. I plan to address this issue with the store manager and potentially bring it to the attention of the Lake County paper. It's essential to hire staff thoughtfully to avoid legal issues. My contact information is Johnny Ware at [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I had a troubling experience with an employee named Paul at the EL CENTRO location on [redacted] Cottonwood Dr, California [redacted]. I called to inquire about job openings between their two locations, and Paul rudely hung up on me twice. When I visited the store in person, Paul was dismissive and refused to look at me. The manager initially made excuses for Paul's behavior, claiming the phone was malfunctioning, but when tested, it worked fine. Paul's unprofessionalism and rudeness were evident throughout the interaction. The manager apologized, but Paul did not. I felt disrespected and disappointed. The manager seemed kind but possibly misled by Paul. I suggest reviewing the security footage from 11am-12pm on 2/27/[redacted] to observe the interactions. Paul is an older male without a name tag. This behavior reflects poorly on your company, and such treatment is unacceptable, especially for a potential job applicant.

Store at [redacted] W [redacted] S Ste [redacted] in Salt Lake City, Utah - This location was quite disappointing. The store was dirty, with boxes scattered around and poorly stocked shelves. Despite the long line extending down an aisle, only one cashier was open. When politely requesting another cashier, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. Additionally, the cashier's nose was uncovered, and when asked to wear her mask properly, she reacted rudely. Even in a challenging situation, basic manners are essential. When inquiring about the rude employee's name, the cashier ignored the request until directly addressed. The lack of professionalism and customer service on Sunday, 02/28/[redacted], at 2:00 PM led to a frustrating experience, resulting in leaving without completing the purchase.

I visited Dollar Tree on [redacted] South Church Street Extension in Spartanburg, South Carolina about a month ago. I went in to buy a few items, including buns. At the checkout, there were several items for Valentine's Day being rung up at register 3. Despite an available worker and an open register (register 1's light was on), the manager didn't allow me to be checked out quickly. I had to leave my items and exit as I was in a rush to prepare for guests. Unfortunately, upon returning with my children recently, the same manager, Kenny, informed me we were banned from the store. I believe this is unfair treatment as I never disrespected him or caused a scene. I hope Dollar Tree's management intervenes to rectify this situation and ensure fair treatment for customers in the future.

I am having trouble reaching anyone by phone. On Sunday, February 28th, [redacted], I visited Store #[redacted] at 1 Parkside Drive in Shillington, PA, where I was incorrectly charged on my debit card. The amount I am owed back is $33.66. My transaction number was [redacted][redacted][redacted] at 1:17 PM. During the transaction, I requested $20.00 cash back with my debit card, but after a glitch, the cashier had me swipe my card again. Although the transaction went through, I did not receive the $20.00 cash back. Upon reviewing my checkbook, I noticed two transactions from Dollar Tree, one for $13.66 and the other for $33.66. I would like the $33.66 charge to be refunded to my card, including the $1.00 surcharge for the failed withdrawal. The store manager advised me to contact corporate for assistance, and despite numerous attempts since yesterday, I have not had success reaching anyone. Please investigate and resolve this matter promptly. You can contact me at [redacted]. Thank you. - D.P.
