I bought some sweatpants and shirts for my husband who was in the hospital recovering from surgery. I mentioned to the cashier that I might need to return them if the sizing was wrong. When I tried to return the items on November 26th, a different cashier refused, citing a 30-day return policy. I didn't see any visible information about returns in the store or on my receipt. My husband has been through a lot of health issues recently, including a back injury, kidney problems, a nerve issue, and most recently, an amputation. His weight loss made it hard to determine the right size to buy. We have substantial medical expenses and can't afford to keep clothes that don't fit him. Is there any way to make an exception for me to get a refund or even store credit under these extraordinary circumstances? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lisa G.

On Sunday, November 18th, I visited your store on 8th Ave. South. After returning to my car, I discovered a $60.00 ticket from Premier Parking. I was taken aback. Following the instructions on the ticket, I submitted my receipt online to prove I was a customer of your store. In response, I was informed that the ticket couldn't be dismissed but could be reduced to $7.00. I was not only surprised by this but also upset. Having been a loyal customer of your stores for many years, I believe most customers wouldn't appreciate having to pay for parking. I chose to reach out to you instead of Premier Parking because I feel this is a matter that concerns you more than them. I kindly request your assistance in resolving my issue with Premier or reimbursing me the $7.00 parking fee. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly. Benita L.

This morning, I had a distressing experience at the Dollar General store in Weirton, WV. I arrived at 8:05 am to find the store still closed due to the inclement weather. When I knocked on the window, the associate inside became angry and used inappropriate language toward me, stating I was two minutes late, not five. Throughout my visit, she continued to yell at me and ultimately refused to check me out at the register. This behavior was unwarranted and unprofessional. As a loyal customer who frequents Dollar General for my household and business needs, I am deeply disappointed by this encounter. I attempted to contact customer service without success. The incident has left me feeling mortified and considering taking my business elsewhere. It is essential for a business to uphold a good reputation through the conduct of its employees, something that was severely lacking in this instance. - Amy P.

I recently visited the Dollar General in Seaboard, NC, and had a disappointing experience. The giftcard rack had advertised instant savings for Gamestop, Darden gift cards, and more until 12/15. When I tried to purchase them, the cashier couldn't apply the discount. They mentioned that the sale was canceled, but the signage was still up. I waited for almost an hour with no resolution, only receiving an apology. Missing out on saving $40 is frustrating, and I believe I should be compensated for this inconvenience.

The interaction with the cashier and the manager was intense to witness. The cashier seemed frustrated about leaving early due to the long line, while the manager calmly reminded her of the schedule. Despite the cashier's behavior, the manager handled the situation professionally, continuing to assist customers efficiently. The manager's dedication to providing great customer service, especially in challenging circumstances with difficult employees and customers, is commendable. It's clear that the manager works hard every day to keep the store running smoothly.

As a disabled veteran with an emotional support dog, I recently had a negative experience at store # [redacted]. Upon entering the store, I was confronted by Bridgett, a store manager, who loudly insisted that my dog was not allowed inside. Despite explaining that my dog is a support animal, she demanded paperwork, which violated my HIPPA Rights. This confrontation caused a scene with other customers watching as she continued to be rude. My support dog is small and does not wear a vest, but accompanies me everywhere. Bridgett's behavior was unprofessional, especially towards a veteran. I felt embarrassed and humiliated by the way she treated me. It's disappointing to face hostility in a store due to having a service animal. I believe actions should be taken to address her poor attitude as a manager. Thank you, Katrina Bowman.

I recently had a very frustrating experience at DG Buffalo Center in IA. I was overcharged for some soda, and when I asked for a refund, the DG employee told me I had to bring back all the items for a re-ring. Despite my disbelief, I complied. When I tried to place the 2-liter drink bottles on the counter, they fell over, and the employee accused me of throwing them. She became increasingly hostile and accused me of ruining her dinner. Despite my repeated requests for a refund, she continued arguing and threatened to involve the police. I waited over an hour, during which the police were called, and I was berated by the employee. It was a distressing experience, and I have decided not to return to Dollar General due to this incident. I have also informed my friends about what happened. Additionally, I contacted another Dollar General store, which mentioned that there were four previous complaints regarding the Buffalo Center location in the last two weeks, making mine the fifth. This whole situation has cost Dollar General more than just one customer.

On Monday, January 7th, I visited the Dollar General store in Kansas City, Kansas on Metropolitan. The employee working that night, who identified herself as a manager but is actually a key holder, accused my sister and me of stealing. I offered to let her check my purse, which she declined. I couldn't have hidden anything in my pocket as I was wearing leggings without pockets. Despite this, she chose to publicly address the issue with 8 to 10 other customers in line. Her handling of the situation was not appropriate. I kindly request someone from the store to contact me at [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance, and I would appreciate a call back. Have a great day.

I placed an order on January 9th, but there have been issues with charging my card multiple times and then cancelling. I am currently unable to locate the customer service phone number on the website. Could someone please update me on the status of my order? Thank you. Update: I have managed to find their customer service number. If you need to reach them by phone, please call [redacted]. I suggest the company display this number prominently on their website for better accessibility.

I frequently visit the Dollar General store located at [redacted] N Wooster Ave in Dover, Ohio. Unfortunately, on numerous occasions, I have encountered rude behavior from both the manager and the employees. Their responses when questioned about incorrect prices or when seeking assistance have been very unprofessional. The manager seems preoccupied with her cell phone and conversations, making it seem like serving customers is an inconvenience. This disappointing experience is shared by my friends who have also encountered similar treatment. Finding dedicated and caring individuals to work is challenging, but it is essential for a business. Many of us are considering taking our business elsewhere if these issues are not addressed promptly. I hope to receive a response regarding this matter. Additionally, I find it inconvenient that the only way to contact the store is through email.

I received a call to pick up a resident while they were shopping at DG due to concerns about an icy parking lot. Upon arrival, the customer was gone, and the parking lot appeared to be safe. When inquiring about the customer's whereabouts, the employee mentioned she had left, pointing to a specific area near the road. Despite mentioning a potential survey of the icy conditions, the employee clarified they did not own that section of the property. It was puzzling why the employee called for assistance if they did not have authority over the area. Additionally, the customer was not asked to wait for assistance, leaving me with confusion about the situation. The employee involved in this incident was Sam.

Today, I visited Dollar General at [redacted] Spruce Ave, Chester, VA [redacted] [redacted] like I usually do. I found some items marked down in the clearance section, so I grabbed a few with stickers on them. At the checkout, the items rang up at full price, despite having clearance stickers. When I pointed this out to the store manager, she rudely claimed the stickers were placed incorrectly and ripped them off. She mentioned that the clearance aisle actually had discontinued items at full price. Her attitude was dismissive and accusatory, implying I had tampered with the stickers. It's frustrating because I shop here regularly. While I can't be certain who mislabeled the item, it was a significant price difference. It's disappointing to feel insulted and cheated after what seemed like a good deal.

I live near Dollar General store number [redacted] in Cairo, GA. I have been a customer there since it opened. While I love Dollar General, I am disappointed with the cleanliness of the store, particularly the restrooms. The men's room doesn't have a key, leading to men and women sharing the same restroom, which is often locked. During my recent visit on 3/30/19 in the afternoon, there was only one cashier, Angela, who was working hard to manage the long line. Another employee, who I believe was about to leave for the day, also jumped in to assist. However, it was concerning to see two employees smoking outside in a Mustang car. One of them, the manager, and a young girl with long dark hair (without a name tag) seemed more focused on smoking than helping customers. This lack of guidance and poor customer service from some employees, especially the young girl, makes me reconsider shopping at Dollar General. Some employees are friendly and efficient, like the cashier Angela and the blonde girl at the register, but overall, the store requires better management and training for the staff.

Hello, my name is Trent Tharp, and I frequently shop at Dollar General. There are three stores near my location. I noticed in your weekly ad that garden implements are on sale. However, I have been to the northern store and they did not have shovels available. When I inquired, the staff mentioned checking the store locator, which showed they should be in stock. Unfortunately, no one assisted me in resolving this. My number is [redacted], feel free to call me any time. I would appreciate speaking to a human representative for assistance. Many websites I visited had unhelpful prompts, confirming I'm not a robot. I am willing to pay full price, just in need of a shovel. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Trent Tharp

I visited store #[redacted] around 10:00 am. I picked up items from a clearance table and some from the 70% off section. At the register, the first item rang up as 1 cent. The associate mentioned I could only buy one item, disregarding DG Policy. She rudely stated she didn't care about the policy, imposing her own rules. Our transaction was canceled, and we were asked to leave the store without making a purchase. I managed to get the District Manager's name and number, but was informed she wouldn't speak with us, and it wouldn't make a difference anyway.

I recently visited the store to use the restroom and buy a drink. However, I encountered an issue with the men's bathroom door being broken. When I requested the key for the ladies' room, I was informed it's withheld due to theft concerns, which felt like I was being accused of potentially stealing. I mentioned my managerial experience at Dollar General, but the manager and a customer reacted insensitively. I left but later returned to request the District Manager's contact information, which was declined. I also overheard staff being advised not to provide it. All I ask is for the manager to be reminded that Dollar General prioritizes customer service, which should not be overlooked. Thank you for addressing this matter.

I recently visited your store on Red Bank Road in Goose Creek, SC, and had a concerning experience with the manager, Jessie. Despite being 54 years old, I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully by a retail manager. Jessie repeatedly called me names like "dummy" and "idiot" during my visit, even at the register. When I confronted her about her behavior, she was dismissive and rude. This is not an isolated incident, as my daughter has also faced unfriendliness from Jessie in the past. I would appreciate it if the district manager could contact me regarding this issue. Additionally, I request that the security tape from my visit be reviewed to address Jessie's unprofessional behavior.

I have observed the store manager frequently smoking outside instead of fulfilling his responsibilities. On a personal note, I experienced a thirty-minute wait at the counter while he was outside smoking by the open doors within sight of the counter. Moreover, he was spotted loading merchandise into his car for selling at flea markets, leading to customer complaints. His behavior includes being rude, slow, and gossiping about customers. He appears unkempt and mistreats his employees. I overheard him threatening someone with dishonesty if reported to corporate. This behavior has persisted since he took over as the store manager. He tends to hire only females, briefly employs males, then dismisses them. These are undeniable occurrences. The district manager, Paul, failed to address these issues when brought to his attention.

I visited store #[redacted] on Sunday, April 28th, and encountered numerous stock shortages in the frozen and dairy sections. As a result, I had to settle for items I did not prefer or even leave empty-handed. The persistent unavailability of Swiss Milk, Tea products, and Hawaiian Punch Berry Blue Powder for over a month is frustrating. Considering that this store serves a large area due to the closure of a nearby supermarket, it's vital to address these ongoing stock issues. Enhancing communication with suppliers like Swiss to increase deliveries or setting up a cooler for their products is a feasible solution. The store should utilize its resources like the Store Manager and checkout tracking systems to manage inventory better. It's essential to address these challenges promptly and ensure adequate stock levels to improve customer satisfaction and prevent lost sales.

I'm having issues with digital coupons. Despite purchasing promoted items, the coupons aren't working. At a nearby store, the clerk Tammy tried to assist but couldn't resolve the problem. She recommended contacting corporate for help. This is my third problem with digital coupons. The first time, I did nothing, the second time, I decided not to buy the items, and now I've returned to the store for assistance. I should be refunded $6.00 for the coupons that didn't apply. I suspect the correct items were not recognized by the coupons. I have evidence with pictures of the flyer, purchased items, and clipped digital coupons. The clerk confirmed my coupons were applied. Why is this so challenging? I believe I should receive a $2.00 refund for Beneful Bonus and a $4.00 refund for the All Free Clear Mighty Pacs. I prefer going back to using paper coupons. Please fix the errors and issue the refund. My email is [redacted] Thank you for your assistance. I'm looking forward to your response.
