Hello,
I recently sent an email from my email address [redacted] but I forgot to include the "[redacted]" at the end of the address initially. When I tried to seek help, I couldn't change it. In the email, I mentioned not receiving a $5 coupon after spending over $[redacted] since moving into the Irving hotel across from the store. I request a $10 discount to rectify this issue as I felt offended leaving the store empty-handed, especially with the mishandled $5 movie charges. I am frustrated with the lack of sensitivity from the clerk, missing out on $35 off twice. I appreciate the opportunity to share my concerns, although I was disappointed that I couldn't speak to a representative over the phone.
Thank you.

I am extremely disappointed with recent experiences at Dollar General. As a loyal customer who spends around $[redacted], mainly on dog food, I have encountered issues like missing coupons, unavailable sale products, and employees not honoring discounts. I have evidence of this with coupon number [redacted] and receipts showing discrepancies. I am unsure how to convey this to the company, but I need to address the problem. Despite my long history of shopping with Dollar General, if these issues persist, I will have no choice but to shop elsewhere. The lack of assistance from most employees adds to the frustration, except for Alexis at the S Jefferson St location in Dublin, GA, who has been very helpful.

I downloaded the dg coupon app when it was released, but I initially had trouble getting it to work. However, your assistance helped me resolve the issue, and it has been working well since. Unfortunately, starting on 06/30/[redacted], I encountered a problem where the coupons would not load despite multiple attempts. I waited until 07/01/[redacted] and tried again, but I faced the same issue. I attempted to sign out and sign back in, but I was unable to access my account even after resetting my password. Following Live Chat instructions to update the app, I encountered a server connection error message. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but the error persisted. Technical support was unable to resolve the problem. Submitting a request online required information that was not marked as necessary. I am reaching out for further assistance as I am unable to access the app.

I reached out to customer service via email regarding an incident at Dollar Market in Henderson, KY [redacted]. Unfortunately, the response I received was unsatisfactory. The issue involved my child, who was made to cry by an employee at the store. This particular employee has been consistently problematic during my visits. On one occasion, my daughter asked him for assistance with an item, and he rudely told her to put it back on the shelf, causing her distress. Additionally, during a previous visit, he did not engage positively, lacked politeness, and even miscalculated my total, resulting in a $5 shortage. Overall, his customer service skills are severely lacking, and due to this experience, my child no longer wants to return to that store.

I am a regular customer at the Cecilia dollar store, visiting every day. While I enjoy interacting with familiar faces, the new manager's behavior leaves much to be desired. They often stay in the office when there are long lines, neglect special orders, and are impolite and unhelpful when approached. Despite my fondness for the staff I know, the store's atmosphere has become unwelcoming due to the new manager's attitude and lack of assistance. It is disheartening to witness such a decline in customer service, as I believe that visitors should feel valued and appreciated when they shop, not treated as inconveniences as I have been. I hope the company can address this issue and hire a more competent manager who prioritizes customer satisfaction.

I recently visited your Babcock and Hillcrest location in San Antonio, Texas, [redacted], and had an upsetting experience. While there, a cashier was seen yelling at a customer to empty their pockets, putting everyone at risk over a small issue. When it was my turn to pay, the cashier refused to honor a soda deal that was advertised as 3 for $10, claiming the products were not all the same. Despite showing proof that they were all Coke products, she continued to be unprofessional and refused to apply the discount. I even took pictures of the advertisement to demonstrate the error.

There is a woman named Katina at the store in our town where I used to work when I was younger. She consistently behaves poorly with customers and even harassed me recently when I was there with my daughter browsing Halloween costumes. Katina's unprofessionalism and threat towards me in front of my daughter were completely unacceptable. I confronted her about her behavior, but she continued to be disrespectful. I have decided not to shop there while she is working, and I know others who feel the same. She is not suited for a job where she has to interact with people. I spoke with the manager, Tracy, who apologized for the incident, but it shouldn't be the manager's responsibility to apologize for the behavior of another adult.

I frequently visit Dollar General, but the customer service at this store has always been problematic. Today's experience was exceptionally disappointing. I arrived at the store at 9:30, and initially, the staff was friendly. However, by 9:45, they began urging me to hurry as they were closing soon. Despite mentioning there were still 15 minutes left, they locked the doors at 9:55 and displayed an unpleasant attitude during my checkout. An issue with the payment system arose, causing my card to be declined, leading the employee Sandra to become noticeably frustrated. I chose not to retrieve my wallet from the car and left. This experience has deterred me from shopping at Dollar General again. It seems the store may require new management, as their early closing and disrespectful behavior towards customers are unacceptable.

During a recent shopping trip in Russellville, Arkansas, I encountered an unpleasant experience with a staff member. The girl working at the store informed me that they were about to close in 15 minutes. I was trying to grab cat food with a coupon, and a boy suddenly appeared, yelling at me that they weren't waiting for me. I tried to explain that I was only getting cat food and would be quick, but he rudely insisted I should leave. When he started walking towards me, I felt uncomfortable and asked him not to come closer or touch me. He then ordered me to leave and even implied I might be stealing. Despite being humiliated, I calmly got my wallet and moved my items to the front. The staff member continued to accuse me of theft, and when I stood up for myself, he threatened to involve the police. It was a distressing situation that I hope to never encounter again.

I previously contacted you regarding our Dollar General in Clinton, Illinois. Unfortunately, with the recent closure of our Walmart, our Dollar General store's small size has become a significant issue. I understand that you plan to close for a few weeks to remodel, but the fundamental problem remains - the store's size cannot accommodate the demands of our community. With a population of about 8,[redacted] residents, we deserve a store that meets our needs adequately. I have visited another location with fewer people, and they have a spacious, well-stocked store that is easy to navigate. The congestion in our store due to limited space and merchandise placement is a constant frustration for customers. While a remodel may seem beneficial, it may not address the root issue. Losing your customer base is a real concern if improvements are not substantial. We urge you to consider the possibility of a new store or, perhaps, allow another retailer like Family Dollar to better serve our community.

I am deeply disappointed by the lack of assistance and customer service at this specific Dollar General location. Access to restroom facilities is essential, yet they are kept locked, and employees refuse to provide access when requested. This situation has forced me to travel far from my undeveloped land to find a different store with restroom facilities.
It is disheartening that customer satisfaction is not a priority due to reluctance to maintain the restroom. I urge the management to address this issue promptly.
Thank you.

I am extremely disappointed in the misleading promotion I encountered on my recent Dollar General receipt. Despite being a long-time customer, this experience has left me feeling deceived and scammed. The lack of clarity from the staff regarding the promotion only adds to the frustration. I feel the need to take action and may involve a lawyer if my concerns are not addressed satisfactorily. As a result, I will no longer be shopping at any Dollar General stores. It is disheartening to see such deception from a large corporation. I refuse to support a company that operates in such a dishonest manner. Until this issue is resolved to my satisfaction, I will be boycotting Dollar General. Integrity and fairness should be a priority in customer service, and I expect nothing less.

I am extremely disappointed in the misleading promotion information on my receipt from Dollar General. This is my first time participating in one of their promos, and it has been a huge letdown. The staff should be more knowledgeable to accurately explain the promotion to customers. I feel deceived and scammed by the store, which is unacceptable. I refuse to give them another chance to trick me in the future. If my concerns are not addressed satisfactorily, I will seek legal advice. I will no longer support Dollar General stores. It's disheartening to see big corporations resorting to dishonest tactics. I will boycott their stores until this matter is resolved to my satisfaction. It's unfortunate that such practices exist in our country.

I recently bought a Paw Patrol pillow which had the price tag placed in the middle, resulting in a hole. After checking multiple stores nearby, all pillows had the same issue. The managers acknowledged this was a flawed placement. Sadly, I returned the pillow today as it was meant to be a Christmas gift. However, all pillows in stock had the same problem, preventing an exchange. My suggestion is to affix the price tag to the hanging tag instead to avoid creating holes. If by chance there's a pillow without this issue, please reach out to me as I am still interested in purchasing the Paw Patrol pillow priced at $10.

I bought 5 eBay gift cards for $[redacted] each to buy a truck from eBay. The cashier advised me to contact eBay to verify their authenticity due to potential scams. After confirming they were indeed a scam with eBay, I tried to return them unused with receipts, only to be refused by the manager. As a 67-year-old using my last $[redacted], I was hoping for a refund to resolve the situation. Can I send the cards and receipts in pristine condition to the corporate office for a refund? I seek a solution from the large corporation given my circumstances. Thank you, Jerry C.

I have been a loyal customer at DG on [redacted] Anderson Road in Greenville, SC since it opened. While not a top-tier store, its proximity to my house has been convenient. Recently, the store has become extremely disorganized, with empty shelves and stock piled on the floor. Today, I was once again disappointed to find they were out of the coffee creamer I needed. The woman I assumed was the manager seemed unprofessional. I overheard she had just dealt with a rude customer who threw money on the counter. As I left, I witnessed her putting away shopping carts, blocking the doorway, and heard her make inappropriate comments. Despite my experience as a retired police officer familiar with the neighborhood, I believe this behavior towards customers is unjustifiable. I have started visiting the Powdersville store where the service is better. I hope the issues at this store are resolved promptly.

I recently bought a cell phone from your store and asked if it would work with my plan. The employee assured me it would, but unfortunately, it does not. When I tried to return it, I was told by the cashier that they do not accept returns and to contact the phone company. However, the phone company informed me that the store has already received the money and should issue the refund.
Upon contacting the store manager, I was met with unhelpful responses and was even hung up on. I have been a loyal customer since the store opened and prefer it over others, but the lack of customer service and employee training is disappointing.
I am requesting a refund of $29.99 plus tax and will not return to the store until this matter is resolved. The store number is #[redacted] located at [redacted] Red Arrow Hwy, Coloma, MI [redacted]. I can be reached at [redacted] or [redacted] I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
B Chancellor

During my recent visit to your store on 79th and Cottage Grove in Chicago, Illinois, I encountered an issue while trying to use manufacturer coupons for diapers and other items. The cashier expressed uncertainty about accepting the coupons and consulted someone who I assume was a manager, without clearly identifying themselves as such. I was informed that the district manager deemed the coupons fake and they couldn’t be honored. Subsequently, I had to go to Target to redeem them, incurring extra costs and inconvenience due to the situation. As a regular customer who appreciates the savings and quality your store offers, I was quite disappointed by the experience and the implication that I was dishonest. I trust that you will address this matter appropriately to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty, as I value shopping at your store and expect better treatment in the future.

I have been a loyal customer at my local Dollar General for the past three years. Unfortunately, I have encountered a female employee who has been consistently rude to me over the past six months. Recently, she accused me of opening a bag of socks, even though I explained that it wasn't me. I suggested checking the security cameras, but she insisted and eventually asked me to leave the store. She mentioned I couldn't return until they confirmed through the cameras.
Upon returning yesterday, a manager embarrassed me in front of other shoppers, declaring that I was unwelcome and not to return, without verifying the security footage. I feel mistreated and unfairly banned from a store where I have been a regular, emphasizing that I shop there out of necessity, not for socializing. I would appreciate it if someone could address this issue with the store manager and allow me to continue shopping at my convenient neighborhood store. Thank you.

On November 23, [redacted], I made purchases at two Dollar General locations during the Buy One, Get 75% Off the Second sale on All Toys. The first store incorrectly charged me full price for two toys priced at $10.00 each, resulting in a $7.50 overcharge. At the second store, I bought six more toys expecting the same discount. However, although I received some discount on two toys, I was still overcharged by a total of $18.75 across both stores. The second store provided a discount of only $6.00, far less than the $17.25 I should have saved following the advertised promotion. I brought the discrepancy to the attention of the cashier and what I believed to be the manager, but they insisted the charges were accurate. As per my receipts from store #[redacted] and [redacted] in Toccoa, GA, purchased items on the sale dates of 11/22 through 11/24, I am seeking reimbursement for the $18.75 overcharge.
