I have attempted to contact 24 housekeepers through Care.com, but only two responded. Unfortunately, one of them, Heather, did not show up after claiming she was on the way for two days. The other housekeeper changed her price upon arrival. I am very disappointed in Care.com and feel that they prioritize receiving payment over the quality of service provided to clients. I am requesting an immediate cancellation of my one-year subscription along with a full refund. If my request is not met, I will escalate the issue to the BBB. Hello! I encountered an issue where my account got deleted and I was instructed to create a Business account, which is not applicable to me as I am not a business owner. I mentioned the option of babysitting in my profile as a side note due to a previous employer's specific request for babysitting arrangements. I have children of my own and added this information as a helpful detail. I am a paying customer with a membership, but I was not given a chance to explain that I am not a business. I spent a significant amount of time setting up my profile and undergoing a care check, only to have it deleted without warning. Care.com has frozen my account because of this mistake, preventing me from correcting it or paying for a new DMV background check. I have been a loyal paid member for over a decade and have never encountered issues with previous background checks. Last Sunday night, I received a message from CareLinx.com regarding a potential candidate for a job. While trying to reach out to them, I mistakenly got linked to Care.com without realizing it. After realizing this error, I went ahead and canceled my account. Believing I had successfully completed the process, I checked my email only to find a message from Care.com confirming my account cancellation. I have subscribed to access background checks for caregivers for my mother's care. Despite the long delay and approval process for the background info request, I still couldn't view it. It seems there are fees on both sides, where caregivers pay for their background checks, and users pay to view them. I'm frustrated as even after payment, I couldn't view the necessary information. Due to these setbacks, I couldn't find suitable help through the platform as expected. I'd like a refund for the June subscription fee as I have cancelled it due to these ongoing issues. Upon my return from Michigan in [redacted], I signed up for Care.com. I wanted to share some details about the challenges I faced leading up to my membership. During my stay in MI, I was supporting my Stepfather who had been diagnosed with terminal lung and brain cancer, providing assistance to my overwhelmed mother. After his passing, I was hospitalized for sepsis and dealt with lingering health issues including skin conditions and PTSD. I found it difficult to secure assistance through Care.com despite attempting to connect with suitable individuals. Unfortunately, I encountered login issues and communication problems with potential helpers. This situation caused me unnecessary stress, eventually leading to my hospitalization in August. I believe having reliable help could have prevented this escalation. I am requesting a full refund of my membership fee and ask that Care.com halt any attempts to charge my VISA for renewal. The current process feels unfair and lacks the support I was seeking.

My account has been inactive for a while, but I haven't canceled it. I want to reactivate it, but when I attempt to log in, I keep getting prompted to update my security clearance by paying for it. This renewal was supposed to happen automatically each year, but it seems it didn't go through this time, possibly due to my linked card expiring or changing its number. I'm willing to pay again but have been stuck on this update page. After struggling for four days and receiving unhelpful responses from emails, my husband discovered a way to update my credit card information. I did this yesterday, waited overnight for the process, but today I'm still unable to access the site. Despite updating my current credit card, the page remains stuck after clicking on "purchase," preventing me from viewing the full site. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

After reaching out to a few candidates, I discovered my account had been terminated. I received an email from both care.com and Sterling regarding background check information. This left me confused, as I was under the impression I could background check caregivers, not myself. Despite contacting Sterling in June and July for my background check, I have yet to receive it. When I applied on care.com and tried to pay for the background check, I encountered an issue with my credit card processing. Despite seeing the error message, stating a problem with my payment, I tried changing my zip code to see if that would help. However, this resulted in multiple charges to my account. As per the order summary, payment should only be taken upon passing the background check. I am currently awaiting a resolution and a refund for the extra charges. The lack of customer service availability on care.com is frustrating as I cannot reach out directly to address this matter with them. I hope my bank can assist in resolving this issue promptly.

I am trying to sign into my account created over a year ago, but the system keeps indicating my password as incorrect despite it being saved. I need to report a serious issue with one of your dog sitters. They have stolen from me, damaged my property, let my dogs ingest their medication, causing me to seek veterinary care. The sitter has shown neglect and my dogs suffered while I was on holiday. I have emailed with no response. I urgently need a manager to call me since I cannot reach anyone by phone. I canceled one of the memberships OVER A MONTH AGO, not realizing I had two separate accounts for the same service. However, I have still been charged for both memberships. After my initial cancellation, I was charged $43.95, and I recently discovered I was charged another $74.85 for the SAME membership under the other email address.
Since the profile pictures, search activities, and billing details are the same, I believe Care.com should have identified this issue.
There has been no activity on both accounts for months. I have attempted to cancel both memberships once again. Please acknowledge the cancellation and refund these charges.
