I recently discovered an error on my [redacted] Lincoln Navigator's car fax report where it was incorrectly labeled as "totaled." I am currently in the process of selling the vehicle and am the original owner with the original Florida state title and insurance with Geico for the same car mentioned in the report. I would greatly appreciate it if this issue could be rectified as soon as possible. I have the title, insurance card, and any other necessary documents ready for submission. - R. Veingrad

VIN: 2GNAXHEV7J[redacted] Good afternoon Carfax team, I have noticed an error in your report. I am from Russia and have been a driver for a year with no issues. However, your report is misleading. Kindly, keep the first report accurate as the second one is flawed, causing confusion. I can provide you with the correct odometer readings and a current photo of the car to rectify this. I rely on the information from the first report for my car purchase. VIN: 2GNAXHEV7J[redacted] I have attached two reports for your reference. Kind regards, Andrey K.

In October, I accidentally purchased the $99.99 report instead of the $39.99 plan. I tried contacting customer service via email to update my plan, but the system kept saying my email was incorrect. I repeatedly tried to re-enter my email but kept receiving an error message, causing frustration, and I eventually gave up. Today, when I needed an updated report for the same car, it prompted me to pay again. Kindly credit my account for the $39.99 plan. My email is [redacted] The VIN is 5TDYRKEC9MS072969.

I need assistance with a discrepancy in the Carfax report for a Lexus RX [redacted] F Sport, VIN #2T2BZMCA6G[redacted]. The report shows an accident on June 5, [redacted], when the car was only a week old, but this accident never occurred. I am currently helping my client with an insurance claim related to a real accident on July 22, [redacted]. The insurance company won't proceed due to the incorrect information on the report. I require Carfax to rectify this error and provide a correction copy to proceed with the claim. I've been working on this since December 10, [redacted]. Please contact me via email at [redacted] or at [redacted].

I am experiencing an issue with a stalker who has mistakenly used my phone number to request information from auto dealers and CarFax. This has led to continuous phone calls that I did not initiate. I am requesting that CarFax remove my phone number, [redacted], from their system immediately. Please provide me with any available information about this incident for me to report to the police. For any further inquiries, you can reach me at the mentioned phone number or via email at [redacted] Thank you. P. Gallagher

I am the proud owner of Woodards BP Automotive. We utilize R.O.Writer for managing our customers’ repairs and estimates. I noticed a CarFax symbol in the corner of the R.O.Writer invoice, which indicates that CarFax is downloading our customers' information for reporting purposes. One of our long-term customers recently purchased a BMW and sold her Acura 3.2 TL. Strangely, the repair history from her Acura got mixed up with her BMW's VIN in our system, leading to a potential mix-up. This error resulted in the BMW reflecting repair and mileage data from the Acura, creating an inaccurate CarFax report. I'm seeking assistance on resolving this issue and eliminating the Acura's repairs and mileage from being linked to the BMW's VIN. To help rectify this, please reach out to me at [redacted]. I have all the necessary documentation showcasing repairs for both vehicles to support resolving this mix-up promptly to alleviate any concerns for our valued customer. Thank you for your attention to this matter, Dennis Woodard

Hello, I noticed an error on my Carfax report indicating that my airbags deployed during a collision where I was rear-ended at a stoplight. I have documentation from the collision repair shop and the insurance company confirming that the airbags did not deploy. I am puzzled as to why Carfax is requesting an amendment to the police accident report from me. Thank you, MarkAnthony

Hello, my name is Eric H. and my wife, Elizabeth H., own a [redacted] Tiguan with VIN 3VV1B7AX7MM003856. On June 1, [redacted], a deer hit my wife's car on her way home from work. The incident was reported to the authorities, and the car was then taken to Northern Collision Repair in Gouverneur, NY. It took more than 2 months to repair the vehicle due to delays in getting the necessary parts. Additional funds were requested for the repair on August 5, [redacted], which were provided by Travelers Insurance. The car never left the repair shop after the first incident, despite what was later reported by CarFax. When I tried to trade in the Tiguan, I discovered that CarFax's report falsely indicated that the car had been involved in two collisions. This misinformation led to a reduced trade-in value offered by the dealership. I am unsure of the source or confirmation of this inaccurate information and seek guidance on correcting it to avoid financial losses when selling the vehicle. Thank you.

Carfax has been a disappointment. It's frustrating to see such a reputable source like Bob Johnson Auto fabricate information in their reports. This has cost me a significant amount of money and a vehicle I genuinely liked. I've recommended Bob Johnson Auto to friends and family for years, but after this experience, I'll make sure they lose more than what they cheated from me. It's disheartening that a little trust wasn't given to a loyal customer. I won't ask for a refund, as I consider the reports to be worthless. My family and I will remember this and not support Bob Johnson VW in Watertown, NY.

I recently had my [redacted] Dodge Durango Citadel Hemi with 14,[redacted] miles appraised for a possible trade-in at my dealership. During the process, a Carfax report revealed two accidents on my vehicle. However, I am the original owner and have only been involved in one rear-end accident in February [redacted]. The second accident listed on December 3, [redacted], involving the front driver's side, is not accurate. I tried contacting Philadelphia PD for the police report correction but have not been successful. Various agencies have been unhelpful in resolving this issue. Carfax has been unwilling to assist me despite my efforts to provide supporting documentation. The inaccurate accident report is affecting the trade-in value of my vehicle. I have never been to Philadelphia, and I am certain no such accident occurred. It seems to be a clerical error either by the Police department or Carfax. I am seeking assistance to rectify this situation.

I recently visited a dealership where they provided me with a CarFax report for my vehicle. However, the report does not accurately reflect the hail damage repairs and instead labels the damage as "severe" without specifying it was due to hail. This misinformation is now impacting my ability to trade in my vehicle. I have documented evidence in an ISO report from my insurance company that clearly outlines the repairs made, which were related to hail damage and a windshield chip repair only. I am requesting that the CarFax report be updated to accurately reflect the repairs completed on my vehicle. I am willing to provide a copy of the ISO report to support my claim. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly.

I am experiencing difficulties obtaining a permit to drive a vehicle in Mexico due to Banjercito relying solely on a Carfax report. Carfax indicates the vehicle is a total loss, but it actually has a clean title. The DMV mentioned they would have required an inspection if the car was considered a total loss. I am seeking assistance to have this inaccurate report removed from Carfax, as the truck is fully operational and not a total loss. Despite providing the necessary DMV documentation proving the car's status and clean title, Banjercito is still only considering the Carfax information. They appear to disregard the state's reliable information in favor of Carfax, which is causing a complication in obtaining the permit.

I bought my Porsche recently and my VIN #: WP0AB2A97BS720989. At the DMV, an employee made a mistake and added a 7 in front of my actual mileage of 41,[redacted], making it [redacted],[redacted] miles. I have documentation from the Porsche dealership to prove the correct mileage. The error is now causing issues as I am trying to sell the car. I have attempted to correct this through the online form multiple times, but it keeps giving me errors. Please assist me in fixing this oversight quickly. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

I have made multiple correction attempts on your website over 30 times, encountering an issue with photos not meeting the required limit. The system is rejecting the Arizona Plate 08VT3. Following a minor accident on 9/3/[redacted], with only minor scuffing on the driver's side rear wheel well and no airbag deployment, I have attached relevant photos for verification. The dealership confirmed no airbag codes present during maintenance, and my insurance company acknowledged minimal damage. The Maricopa County Sheriff's report also indicated no significant damage. On September 8th, Carfax representative Mr. Shaheed Davis assessed the vehicle's condition, verifying the minor scuffing from the accident.

I filed a dispute regarding a damage report on my vehicle and have not received a response yet. My reference number is [redacted]6. I purchased the vehicle in March of [redacted] and still own it. The Carfax shows a damage report on 8/5/[redacted], but my car has never been in an accident or been to a shop since I bought it. I haven't driven many miles this year, so I am puzzled by this report. I would appreciate it if you could provide me with the documents you received and the source of the information that led to the damage report on 8/5/[redacted]. Thank you for your assistance.

I bought three reports on October 22, [redacted], totaling $65.31. Despite using one report, I am unable to access my account to use another. My details are Franklin Morales from [redacted] Lincoln Ave, Staten Island, NY [redacted]. My username could be [redacted] or possibly [redacted] I'm having trouble remembering the correct one as I faced issues setting up my account, receiving continuous error messages. I purchased three reports for flexibility in usage and need assistance to access the next one.

My vehicle was in a minor incident on 09/03/22 when the back of the car was clipped, causing less than $[redacted] in damage. No airbags deployed during the accident. Carmax representative Shaheed Davis inspected the minor damage on 09/14/[redacted]. Both insurance companies confirmed no airbag deployment, and the Maricopa County Sheriff's report attests to this. Despite multiple attempts to submit all relevant information and pictures to Carfax, the system won't accept the details. I made sure the file sizes were correct without success. I'm seeking assistance to remove the airbag deployment from the report as it significantly decreases my vehicle's value by 25 to 50 percent. Thank you.

I am currently driving on Interstate 40 at exit [redacted], where there is a wreck causing traffic to slow down. There's a car driving dangerously without using blinkers, not yielding to other vehicles with emergency flashers on, and speeding through traffic. The vehicle in question has Carfax branding all over it and a license plate number of [redacted] 46, which seems to be a temporary or business tag on a greenish compact car. I am concerned about the reckless driving behavior and felt it was important to report it to Carfax before alerting the police.

I bought a car in May [redacted] with minor to moderate damage, but Carfax shows the incident occurred in [redacted]. Trying to get insurance quotes, the VIN check revealed a $[redacted] difference in monthly premiums due to the accident. I didn't own the car then, so being penalized for someone else's accident seems unfair. Can you assist me in resolving this? Thank you, Marvin H.

I recently saw a Titan SL truck on CarFax and the AutoNation website, which had a Tonneau cover in the photo. I bought the vehicle and had it transported from Florida to Colorado for $[redacted]. However, upon arrival, the Tonneau cover was missing, even though I paid for it. The VIN number of the truck is 1N6AA1E57KN535540. AutoNation claims they can remove equipment from their vehicles regardless of the advertisement. I am requesting CarFax to provide me with the photo of the rear of the truck showing the Tonneau cover installed. I need this matter resolved promptly. Thank you. - SN PS: CarFax stated I did not specify what needed correction. In my original message, I clearly asked for the photo of the truck's rear with the missing Tonneau cover. The VIN and cost were redacted, but you will require them to identify the truck. How can I provide you with this information? Please respond promptly. Thank you.
