I bought an Acer Chromebook CB5-132T-C7R5 for school just over two months ago at the end of August [redacted]. After owning it for a little more than a month, I began encountering significant issues, like crashes causing me to lose notes and recorded class lectures. I've tried powerwashing and resetting the device multiple times in hopes of solving the problems, but without success. Today, after losing my work due to another crash, I reached out to Acer support. The helpful technician advised me to send my nearly new Chromebook in for repairs, mentioning it would take approximately 10 days plus shipping time. I explained how crucial the device is for my daily classes and asked if there were options for a loaner or replacement while waiting for the repair. Unfortunately, the technician informed me that no such alternatives were available. I then requested to speak with a manager to explore potential solutions but was informed that I would have to wait until later in the week. I am truly disappointed in my decision to purchase an Acer product, especially considering how much I depend on it for school.

I'm experiencing overheating issues with my laptop. During gaming and when it's under stress, the CPU temperature goes over 95 degrees Celsius even with the fan speed set to maximum. This is not ideal for a gaming laptop. The laptop starts to stutter and games crash due to thermal throttling. Playing games at such high temperatures could potentially shorten the lifespan of other components. Any assistance with a solution would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: Urgent Refund Request - Order #[redacted] To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had with your company. Last week, I placed an order and encountered delays. Upon contacting customer service, I was asked to provide photo ID, a request I found concerning and refused to comply with. Subsequently, I chose to cancel my order. While I have received confirmation of the cancellation, I have yet to receive either confirmation or the actual refund. I must emphasize the poor customer service I encountered over the phone, marked by rudeness and unhelpfulness. I am requesting immediate confirmation of my refund for both the product and shipping fees. My order number is #[redacted]. Failure to provide this confirmation will lead me to believe that you are unjustly withholding funds from me, prompting legal action if necessary. I await your prompt response. Sincerely, J. Williams

Lately, my laptop has been charging up to [redacted]%, but then the power supply shuts off until the battery drops to 99%. I attempted uninstalling the battery drivers and completely draining the battery to 0% before recharging. Additionally, I tried a battery reset with the pinhole. Unfortunately, none of these solutions have resolved the problem, and it has been increasingly troublesome. I would appreciate any assistance with fixing this issue. Thank you.

I own an Acer A500 tablet that is 4 years old and no longer under warranty. The tablet is stuck on the Acer logo screen and won't proceed any further. I am hesitant to perform a factory reset because I have important photos saved on the device that I don't want to erase. I contacted Acer's customer service but didn't receive any helpful solutions. I am seeking assistance from someone who can help me boot up the tablet without losing my data. If that's not feasible, I would like to explore options for removing the hard drive to recover the data and photos by connecting it to another tablet. Thank you, Mike Carolan.

Hello. A few months back, I purchased an Acer Predator Helios [redacted] i5 1050ti laptop from flipkart.com. Initially, it worked well but now I am facing an overheating issue with the CPU reaching 85°C, GPU at 89°C, and there is a noise from the right click of the trackpad. I am José from Goa, [redacted]. I have tried several IT shops in Goa, but none of them repair trackpads. The laptop is still under warranty, and the seal is intact. I am seeking solutions for heat management and the trackpad issue since there are no Acer service centers in Goa. The laptop is used in my living room with an extended entertainment setup. Despite proper care, I continue to experience these heating and trackpad challenges. I engage in casual gaming like GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Witcher 3 on 1080p settings. I maximize fan speed with a cooling pad and switch to best performance mode when plugged in and best battery mode on battery. The CPU usage is set to 99%, and I have not undervolted it to avoid performance loss. I maintain a dust-free environment for the laptop with a case. It is unusual for me to encounter issues with my electronic equipment without previous service needs. However, I acknowledge that there is always a first time for everything.

Hello Acer, I recently purchased the Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-42-R5ED) with my summer earnings, marking my first significant buy. Unfortunately, I am disappointed by its performance due to an issue. Despite a strong Wi-Fi connection at home where all other devices connect effortlessly, my Acer encounters problems. The computer loses connection to Wi-Fi when plugged in, only to work perfectly once unplugged. This situation is troubling, especially during the pandemic when online schooling demands a reliable machine. Given the common occurrence of this problem with the model, I sought help online but haven't found a solution yet. As I typically use my laptop while plugged in due to its short battery life, this setback is significant. I appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for your time.

After owning my Acer laptop for around 3 years, I noticed an issue about 1.5 years ago with the screen having a glitch. Initially, I could resolve it by adjusting the screen, but it has progressively worsened. This appears to be due to a wiring shortage to the screen. I have only used the laptop at school and home without causing any damage. There are no cracks or significant signs of wear and tear, just a color change at startup. I have to constantly move and adjust the screen to fix the distortion and be able to see anything. Once fixed in one position, I can use it as long as it remains stationary. This problem is unexpected considering the minimal wear on the device.

Dear Customer Service, I am writing to address the dissatisfaction I have experienced with the repair process for my Acer computer. On April 20, [redacted], I encountered issues with my computer and sent it to the Infoteam International Services in Telford following Acer's instructions. Despite being informed that the repair would take 10 days, the process extended due to delays in obtaining parts. It wasn't until May 14 that I was notified the computer had been fixed and shipped. However, a concerning turn of events unfolded as the package was returned to Telford by UPS due to merchandise being missing. The lack of communication from both UPS and Acer during this period of uncertainty has been frustrating. I have been making continuous efforts to inquire about the status of my computer, yet no one has reached out to provide an update or explanation. This prolonged ordeal has not only left me without my essential work tool but has also caused unnecessary stress and financial implications. As the situation remains unresolved, I am considering seeking legal advice regarding my consumer rights and filing complaints with relevant consumer protection entities. I am requesting a replacement computer of the same or similar model, with all my data intact for seamless transition. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, N.P.

Subject: Issue with ACER Aspire E 15 Computer To the Concerned Team, I wish to bring to your attention that I believe my ACER Aspire E 15 computer is defective. I purchased this computer in [redacted] and initially, it worked very well. However, with the various feature and cumulative updates from Microsoft, the computer now boots up slowly, freezes, and crashes. Unlike my HP computer with less space and RAM which handles the updates better, my ACER struggles. I have contacted Amazon.com for a refund, but I am unable to return the computer as it is beyond the return timeline and warranty. I urge your company to consider recalling this model due to its performance issues. Please find the product details below for your reference: Product name: ACER Aspire E 15 E5-[redacted]-33BM Serial Number: NXGG5AA[redacted]08C67600 SNID: [redacted]6 Model No: N16Q2 Feel free to reach out if you require further details. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, J. Holmes

My 2-year-old Acer Nitro 5 laptop has an issue with the left hinge where the screen is. When I close it, the bottom pops out either in the front or back. I have maintained the laptop well and haven't caused any damage to it. I am unable to afford the repair cost at the moment. I believe Acer should address this issue at no charge as it seems like a design flaw that should have been rectified in previous laptop models.

I own an Acer XF250Q monitor and have been experiencing issues with certain full-screen games blacking out. It's strange because I can briefly access my game settings by pressing the Windows key, allowing me to see my screen momentarily before it blacks out again. Switching the game to Full screen borderless mode seems to solve the problem, or toggling between Full screen and Full screen borderless can also temporarily fix it. However, some games like Minecraft don't offer these options, requiring a computer reset to resolve the blackout. I've seen others reporting the same problem online, but no one seems to have a definitive solution. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I needed to reinstall Windows on my laptop, but I didn't have the product key for the original OEM version. Instead, I used the Windows version I had purchased for my desktop. Now, my laptop is functioning like a desktop. I have the product ID for the original OEM Windows that came with the laptop. Can I obtain the product key for the original OEM version so I can reinstall the correct Windows on my laptop?

I bought my Acer Chromebook from Google in September last year, along with a one-year warranty. Unfortunately, since then, the laptop has never worked correctly. Whenever I open a few apps, it crashes or freezes. Even after trying hard reboots, the issue persists. I took the laptop to Geek Squad at Best Buy, where I bought it, but even after a couple of weeks, they couldn't fix the problem. When I asked for a refund, Best Buy mentioned it would be less than the original purchase price and advised me to contact the manufacturer. Now, almost a year later, with ongoing issues impacting my schoolwork, especially during the pandemic, I am reaching out to see if a refund could be arranged due to the faulty laptop despite having a warranty. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello, I have an Acer laptop model MS2360. Yesterday, I accidentally spilled a drink on it, which initially caused the touchpad clicks to malfunction. Although the touchpad is now working fine, my laptop won't start properly. After entering the password, it gets stuck on the "welcome" screen for an extended period before the screen goes black while the cursor remains visible and active. Sometimes, error messages like "uihost.exe- Application Error" or "your pc has run into a problem and needs to restart" appear, leading to a continuous cycle of restarts with no improvement. Occasional messages like "diagnosing your pc" or "repairing disc error" also pop up during startup. I'm seeking advice on how to possibly reset the laptop without losing my data. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I urgently need to resolve this issue. Thank you for your help.

I own an Acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R287 laptop. After replacing the faulty HDD with a new Kingston 240GB SSD, I encountered issues trying to install Windows 10 as it wasn't showing on the Boot Priority Order in BIOS. I tried suggestions like Disabling Secure Boot and changing Boot Mode to Legacy, but my laptop only has UEFI as a boot mode. I'm stuck and unsure how to proceed. This laptop is essential for my online classes, and my siblings also rely on it. Acer, please assist me in resolving this problem. Thank you for your support.

I purchased my Acer notebook F5-771G-74P9 in [redacted] with the SNID [redacted]9. There are connectivity issues between the base and the screen causing horizontal stripes to appear in almost all screen positions. I have to keep it in a fixed position, shut it down with keyboard commands, and cover the open device to prevent dust. This issue needs fixing. Could you please provide information on the repair feasibility and cost? Additionally, the battery is not functioning, forcing me to use the device plugged in constantly. I believe these problems are premature considering the purchase was made in [redacted] from the company Alternate in Linden. I kindly request a response in German. - Friedhelm M. B.

I purchased an Acer Swift 5 SF514-54T in April this year and usually keep it connected to the AC adapter while using it. This morning, I found that after leaving it on while I slept, the laptop wouldn't turn on. Additionally, the back of the laptop is heated up. When I attempted to unplug and reconnect the AC adapter, it made a "pi" sound both times, indicating it's still functioning despite the computer not turning on. Currently, I am cooling it down by using a fan on the back. I need to use it for work tomorrow and Acer customer service is only available during my working hours. I'm hoping to resolve this issue today if possible.

Upon installing a Windows update on my Acer Helios [redacted] ([redacted]), the laptop started experiencing issues. After restarting, the screen wouldn't turn on, and the keyboard would light up. The laptop then began a cycle of turning on and off repeatedly, with only the keyboard lighting up and no logos appearing. I attempted to access the restart menu by pressing Alt + F2 and Alt + F10 with no success. I also tried force shutting down the laptop multiple times to access the auto recovery screen, but it didn't work. This seems to be a software problem related to the recent Windows update, rather than a hardware issue. I'm unsure how to proceed from here.

Dear Sir/Madam, I purchased an Acer laptop from Flipkart a month ago and have been experiencing various issues such as cursor sticking and internet connectivity problems. I contacted Acer customer support, who advised me to reach out to Flipkart. After contacting Flipkart, I was told to troubleshoot the problems instead of getting a replacement immediately. The laptop was purchased for remote work due to the pandemic, and my employer assured me it wasn't a major concern, helping me with internet connectivity using USB data sharing. Recently, the laptop started shutting down suddenly during work hours, with the screen going black while the power button remained on. I reached out to Acer support again, and they mentioned that the laptop I received was a replacement for another one. I am concerned about receiving a repaired laptop instead of a new one, given the amount spent on it. My salary for five months was used to purchase this laptop, and it is crucial for my work. Flipkart's response also didn't satisfy my concerns, as they didn't acknowledge the issue correctly. I urge both Acer and Flipkart to address this matter promptly by providing a replacement or arranging a service center near Nagercoil. My work and family's financial commitments rely on this laptop, and I hope for a swift resolution to this situation. Sincerely, [Initials]
