Introduction

Since YouTube accounts are linked to Google, login issues are often related to your Google account. To regain access to YouTube, start by resolving the issue with your Google account. If you're having trouble signing in due to a Google account issue, follow this guide to recover your Google account and automatically restore access to YouTube. We'll show you how to sign back in to Google using a passkey and what to do in case you forgot your email address.

Visit Google's Account Recovery Page

Enter the Google email address associated with your YouTube account and click Next.

Click Try Another Way

You will be given an option to open the Gmail app on your main device. All you have to do to regain access to Google and YouTube is to open the Gmail app, then tap Yes to ensure that you are the Google account owner.

If you don't have access to your Gmail from this device, follow the next step. Don't worry, you can still try another way to regain access to Google and YouTube.

Click Try Another Way Again

The other option is to receive a code, which is sent to your recovery email. Make sure you can open the recovery email to regain access to Google and YouTube as well.

Enter the Code

Check your email for the code and enter it in the box. Then click Next to regain access to Google. If you still can't get a code, try clicking "Try Another Way" again.

Enter Your Phone Number

You can also get a code via your phone number. Just enter your phone number and tap Send Code. Otherwise, click on I Don't Have My Phone to get another option.

This will be your last chance to regain access to your Google account and YouTube. If you don't have access to the recovery email, your phone, or your main device, it may not be possible to recover your Google account and YouTube.

The other option to recover your Google and YouTube accounts is to log back in to a device you previously used. Be sure to also use the same browser and in a location where you usually log in. This way, it may be possible to regain access to your Google and YouTube accounts.

Conclusion

If you recently deleted your Google account, it's still possible to get it back. Just visit the account recovery process page and answer as best you can. Better yet, use the same devices you frequently use while still using your Google account. If you have a recovery email, use it to recover your recently deleted account. If some time has passed since you deleted your account, the data can't be recovered, but you can still regain access to your Google account and YouTube as well. Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for YouTube Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
