There may be a variety of different reasons why you may need to cancel your Virgin Mobile service. You may no longer be able to afford your service or you may be switching to another provider. The reasons can be many. However, regardless of the reasons, there are simple steps you can take to cancel your service.

Contact Customer Service

The easiest way to cancel your Virgin Mobile service is by simply calling customer service. You can let a Virgin Mobile representative know that you'd like to end your service and the representative can terminate your service while you're on the phone with them.

Stop Pay-as-You-Go

One way to cancel your Virgin Mobile service is to stop your Pay-as-You-Go Service. If you stop this service your payments will no longer be automated which means that you will have to pay them manually. Stopping this service and not making a manual payment will end your service. You can accomplish this by going online and stopping this service. The Pay-as-You-Go service is automated and will automatically cancel after a few months. Your service will suspend after you exhaust the funds that are still present in your account.

Port Your Number to Another Carrier

You can choose another carrier and take your number with you. Basically, you're transferring your number to another provider. This would end your Virgin Mobile service of course. However, this is one way that you can end your wireless service with Virgin Mobile and go with another carrier. However, keep in mind that you must follow the proper cancellation procedures. If you don't, you could lose your number which would prevent you from transferring it to a different wireless provider.

Stop Using Your Phone

You can also cancel your service eventually by simply not using your phone anymore. After sixty days, your service will be considered inactive and automatically cancel.

Message Virgin Mobile and Request a Cancellation

You also have the option of contacting Virgin Mobile and asking them to cancel your account. This is similar to calling customer service, however, you can do this by sending an email with your account number and request a cancellation.
