If you did not get your confirmation code after making a ticket purchase with Southwest Airlines, you will need to find it. You cannot be sure the purchase went through without getting one. Nor can you check on the trip details or make any changes to your itinerary. To find your Southwest Airlines confirmation number, just follow these instructions:

First

Check the spam folder of whatever email account you used to make the purchase. There is a good chance that Southwest Airlines did send you the confirmation number and it was just accidentally caught by your spam filter and sent there.

If You Have a Southwestern Account

  1. If you booked your flight while you were logged into your Southwest Airlines account, then go to Southwest's web page.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Look under your purchases, the confirmation number should be there with the other details of your recent purchase. If you do not see the purchase here, then you did not receive the confirmation number because the purchase did not go through. Contact Southwest's customer support before you try to make the purchase again, in case it is still being processed.

If You Do Not Have a Southwestern Account

If you do not have an account with Southwestern, or were not logged in while you made the purchase, then you need to call the airline and ask them to give you the confirmation number. They will need to confirm your identity, so you should have the credit card that you made the purchase with on hand so you can give them the numbers.

If you are unable to reach a Southwestern representative by phone because of long wait times, you can try their online help forum.
