How Do I Set Up Auto Payment on a Bill with HSBC?

If you have an HSBC bank account then you can set up automatic bill payments, so you never have to spend time paying your bills again. To do so, you must first save your bill payee to your account. Then you can either set up recurring payments using your computer or using the mobile app.

How to Set Up Recurring Bill Payments with Your Computer

To set up automatic bill payments from your desktop or laptop, follow these steps:

  1. Sign into HSBC Online Banking.
  2. Click on the My Banking tab in the nav bar at the top of the screen.
  3. Click on the Pay or Transfer option under the Move Money header.
  4. Click New Payee.
  5. Click on Bill Payment.
  6. Choose the payee from the list of payees.
  7. Enter an amount to transfer.
  8. Click on the Recurring button.
  9. Select a frequency for the payments.
  10. Click on Continue

How to Set Up Recurring Bill Payments with the HSBC Mobile App

To set up recurring bill payments using the app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the HSBC mobile app.
  2. Log in.
  3. Expand the Banking drop down menu.
  4. Tap on New Transaction under the Move Money header.

  3. Click on My Payees under the Bill Payments header.
  4. Select Bill Payee for the payee type.
  5. Find your payee on the list of payees HSBC accepts.
  6. Click on the Save Payee button.

This payee will now appear on your list of payees when you go to set up recurring payments.
