You can close your Gemini account only from the mobile browser or the web. It's not possible to delete your account via the Gemini app.
If you have a pending ACH transfer, you will need to wait for five days to withdraw the remaining funds. Otherwise, you won't be able to close your account. To close your account, your balance will need to be at $0. You can either transfer your account to another crypto wallet or exchange.
As soon as you have the funds, log in to your account and go to the Profile Setting page. Follow the next steps below:
1. Under Account Closure at the bottom of the page, click Close your Gemini Account.
2. In all caps, type CLOSE to successfully delete your account.
You can always reopen your account. Just email Gemini with a request, and they can provide you with the next steps to start trading again.
Below are the steps to withdrawing your remaining funds on Gemini:
1. Select from the drop down menu the currency you would like to withdraw.
2. Choose the destination address.
3. Type in the amount you would like to withdraw.
4. Review all the details and hit Request Withdrawal.
To complete the transaction, Gemini will provide you with a Two-Factor Authentication code via the Authy app or SMS. If you choose to receive the code via the app, you will need to complete the transaction by logging in to the app within four minutes.
