When you have received funds from someone over Cash App, you want to move the money to your bank account as quickly as possible. You can transfer money from the app to your bank account by doing the following:
Open Cash App on your phone.
Enter your phone number or email address to log in.
Key in the one-time password (OTP) that you receive via text or email.
On the home screen, tap the "Bank" icon at the bottom of the screen. This will open the "Banking" menu.
Select "Cash Out" to move money from the app to your account.
Enter the amount you want to transfer. You do not have to transfer all the funds at one time.
Press "Cash Out" again.
Choose the speed in which you wish to receive the deposit. Instant deposits do carry a small fee, so if you can wait a few days (1-3 business days) choose "Standard."
Enter your PIN or use the Touch ID to confirm the transfer.
If you do not have a bank account/debit card linked to your Cash App account, you can still accept and transfer funds accepted. The funds will simply go into your Cash App wallet rather than a bank account. While some stores will allow you to pay for goods or services without a physical card, it is more efficient to have a card attached to your account. If you don't want to link your bank account to your Cash App, you can request a Cash Card. This is a free, customizable debit card that is linked to your Cash App account. The Cash Card allows you to transfer funds from your account to the card to use in stores.
If you want to use a Cash Card instead of linking a bank account, you have that option. To receive a Cash Card, follow these steps:
Open Cash App on your phone.
Log into your account using your email or phone number and the OTP.
Tap on the small square icon in the menu at the bottom of the screen.
Select "Get Free Cash Card."
Choose your card style (note not every style is free).
Personalize your card and hit "Done" when you have your card as you want it.
Tap "Order Card" to complete the process. Your Cash Card will be mailed to you.
Once you receive your Cash Card, you can transfer funds from your Cash App account to your Cash Card.
