How Do I Cancel My Carnival Cruise Reservation?

Going on a nice week-long cruise certainly sounds like a good way to see the world. You don't have to pick just one destination; you have many and the voyage is part of the fun. Unfortunately, life can get in the way sometimes and you'll find out that you must cancel your cruise plans. There's usually not a penalty, but it's recommended you check your Cruise Details or call customer service before canceling.

If you've been stuck indoors for too long, then a cruise sounds like a great way to get out and see the world. Carnival Cruise Lines are one of the longest running cruise lines in the world and it is also one of the biggest with more than 12,000 passengers carried on its ships annually. If you book, you're in good company. However, life can get in the way sometimes and you may have to cancel your dream cruise. This guide will give you some valuable tips and show you how to cancel your Carnival Cruise reservation if you still need to.

Important Tips

It's important to know if you have a grace period for cancelling a booking, or if there's a penalty. For most of Carnival's offerings there's no penalty as long as you cancel before your final payment. There are some exceptions if you booked a package that has non-refundable fares or deposits. Super Saver, Early Saver, and Pack and Go are promotions that are not refundable. The quickest way to check your booking is to visit your reservation online if you personally booked it or to contact your travel agent if you used a travel agency.

If you booked with Carnival, log into your online account and look for the link "Is there a penalty for cancelling this booking?" found under the section titled My Cruise Details. You will be provided with all the needed information about cancelling your reservation.

Cancelling the Reservation

You can cancel your booking by visiting your account profile and looking under your cruise details. If it doesn't give you the option to cancel online, please reach out to Carnival Customer service here. There are agents available 24 hours a day to help you.
