How to Schedule a Bill Payment

Download the mobile banking app to schedule future bill payments conveniently. Below are the detailed steps to schedule a bill payment:

  1. To get started, log in to the app and tap Pay & Transfer.
  2. Tap Pay Bills and select Go to Bill Pay.
  3. If you already have payees added, just select the bill you'd like to settle and tap Pay.
  4. Tap Pay From and choose the account you'd want to use for payment. Tap Amount and specify or select a payment amount.
  5. Tap Deliver By date and set up recurring payments for the same amount. Tap Frequency to select from the drop-down menu the frequency of the payments. You may also add an optional note.
  6. Confirm the payment and tap Pay.

Customers can email or print the payment information or save a copy before clicking Done. Go to your Activity tab to view your scheduled payment. The money only comes out of your account during the scheduled bill payment.

How to Add Payees to Bill Pay

With Bill Pay, you can make payments to almost anyone. However, you'll have to add them first. Follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the mobile app and tap Pay & Transfer.
  2. Tap Pay Bills and then go to Bill Pay.
  3. Select Add Payee.
  4. Under who to add, select a person or a company.
  5. Enter the company name you'd like to add as a payee and click Search. There's no need to enter more information if the company is on the list.
  6. Enter the account information if the company isn't on the list — type in the address and other required information.
  7. Tap Save and click Done.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Bank of America Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
