If you have an account at Ally Bank, then you should consider using the bank's recurring payments tool. With it, you can have your bills paid for you, with the money automatically deducted from your Ally Bank Interest Checking account without your needing to do anything. In most cases, the money will be transferred to your payees electronically. If one of your payees does not accept electronic payments, Ally Bank will mail a check for you. How to Set Up Automatic Bill Pay From Your Ally Bank Account

To set up automatic bill payments, follow this procedure:

  1. Go to the Ally Bank website.
  2. Sign into your Ally Bank account.
  3. Go to Bill Pay.
  4. Find your list of payees.
  5. Locate the payee you want to pay on this list. If your payee is not on this list, add the payee's information yourself.
  6. Click on the Recurring Payments option next to your payee.
  7. Choose the first payment date.
  8. Select a payment frequency.
  9. Enter the payment amount.
  10. If your payee permits the option, choose whether to pay the minimum amount due or the full amount. This can be useful for bills that change every month, such as credit card bills.
  11. Choose a duration for the payments.

Please note that Ally Bank recommends that you do not use the automatic bill payment feature to pay either federal or state taxes, or to make court-ordered payments.
