Suzuki has a lot of complicated directory trees, so it can take awhile to get through all of the options. Then, once you listen to them, it can be confusing to know which one to choose. You may think that you know which number you need, but the longer you listen, the more confused you get. Luckily you can repeat options, but all of this is time-consuming. However, if you wait long enough and are patient, you can get connected to a live person. Just make sure you plan to spend some time on the call.

When you first call, a recorded message thanks you for calling Suzuki Motor Vehicles USA, and then, it launches into the first, and arguably the longest, directory. While it's long, it should be noted that it is very comprehensive, and there's a good chance that you can find what you need on the list. I needed to talk to someone about my ATV coverage to figure out if it was still valid and if a certain type of damage is included before I bothered to get an estimate. 

The voice message instructed, "If you are calling for Suzuki Marine USA customer service, press one. If you are calling about a motorcycle or ATV, press 2. If you are calling about an automobile, press 3. To locate your nearest Suzuki dealer, please visit Suzuki.com." I chose 2, since that was the only option that included ATVs.

The next directory said, "For information about the warranty, press 2. For information about recalls, press 3. For information about lost calls, press 4. For information regarding current Suzuki promotional offers, press 5. For information about servicing, press 6. For all other questions, press 9."

I chose option 2 in the hopes I could talk to someone about my warranty. The system then said, "To learn more about a limited warranty, press 1. For more information on Suzuki's extended protection plans, press 2. To transfer a warranty to a second owner, press 3. To speak to a customer agent, press 4."

This time, I pressed 4. Then I was told, "If your unit has been inspected by an authorized dealer, press 1. If it has not been inspected, press 2." I pressed 2 and was given a warning that if it hadn't been inspected, then a customer service agent would not be able to help me, but I was still given the option to talk to an agent if I wanted.

Finally, the system said it would connect me to an agent and that only one person was ahead of me. The hold music was Creedence Clearwater Revival, which wasn't bad, and after three minutes I was finally connected to an agent who was actually quite helpful. It took me a total of about 10 minutes to complete the call.
