What are the hours and when should I call?

Dyson operates the call center for this 866-693-9766 phone number Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat 9am-6pm CT. The short answer is that you should call on a Thursday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 303 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Dyson call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Dyson phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Dyson staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Dyson is Saturday. The most busy day to call is Tuesday, which averages 250% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 303 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Thursday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Tuesday.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call Dyson

In summation, the best day to call Dyson is Thursday. It isn't the least busy day, but the fact that hold times are shortest combined with it being on the busy side tells us that Dyson staffs up on Thursday to handle the higher call volume, and that makes it the best time to call.

Calling this Dyson Customer Number

When you call the customer service phone number for Dyson, you're greeted by an automated message system and immediately presented with a Spanish language option, which is awesome. Then comes the phone menu: press 1 for sales, press 2 for post-order support, press 3 for troubleshooting, and press 4 for product registration.

This phone menu will repeat for three cycles, and then the call is automatically terminated. There's no "Sorry, I didn't catch that," or "Please try again," or even "Please press x to repeat these options." There's no goodbye, offer to speak to a representative, or suggestion to check out their website for additional help—just immediate termination. For a business customer service phone number, that's pretty wild.

I ended up pressing 3 for troubleshooting, even though that wasn't necessarily why I was calling, and was taken through two additional phone menus that narrowed down the troubleshooting concern to a specific device. Only then was I transferred to a representative.

I suppose this automated system is set up this way because Dyson has so many products, and I imagine no one representative or employee can be an expert for all of them, as they are complex (or at least they seem to be, from my layman perspective). Having the phone menu set up this way helps to siphon callers to the most appropriate representative and thus streamline customer support services.

When I did reach a representative, she was very kind and amiable, and transferred me over to the person or department that would best be able to help me. My experience overall was pretty good, aside from the automated message system bizarrely terminating in the way that it did; that aspect of the message system should be improved. In my opinion, there should also be a more immediate option to speak to a representative, or at least an option in the phone menu for all other inquiries.

Thanks to innovative technology and engineering, Dyson's vacuums have relatively low noise levels compared to traditional vacuum cleaners. While noise levels can vary between different models and modes, Dyson machines are engineered to generate about 72-80 decibels during operation. The specific noise level may be influenced by factors such as the suction power selected and the surface being cleaned. Dyson continues to prioritize reducing noise levels to ensure a quieter cleaning experience without compromising on performance, enabling users to maintain a peaceful environment while effectively tidying their home or space.
