Dear eBay,* *I am writing to you regarding the account for* ******@***.com*username stuperman**.* *Item * *************Description: Apple iPhone * - **GB - Black (Three) A**** (GSM)*Link to item: https:**www.ebay.co.uk*itm*************?ssPageName*STRK:MESOX:IT&*trksid*p****.m****.l***** *I recently had an item returned due to the seller claiming it was not as described. The seller provided no evidence and after I rejected this claim, eBay made the decision to arrange a return and refund the buyer regardless.* *I am particularly unhappy with the resolution in the beginning, making this decision without any description or evidence from the seller other than ‘weak Wi-Fi’. This, it seems, is sufficient evidence to arrange a refund. But, there was nothing I could do but wait for my returned iPhone.* *However, now the issue is that the phone has not arrived. The tracking number ZR*********GB states the item was delivered so I requested the return address eBay used. I was told it was sent to post code CM* *AJ which is for an old address from * years ago. When I disputed this with the customer services rep she told me that I had given this address. I tried to explain that I have been using eBay for the last * years and receiving items at my current address with postcode CM* *TW. I was not happy with the tone of the customer services operator who insisted that there was nothing eBay can do. She continued to state that the returns address was automatically generated, which I understand.* *On checking my eBay account online after the call, I found that there was no address listed for returns. And only * addresses linked to my delivery address and none of them were for CM* *AJ.* *I believe that eBay are at fault for providing the incorrect return address and somehow using my old address which is not on my eBay profile. So it must have been from an archive somewhere which I do not have access to.* *The cost of this is £***.** which has already been debited from my PayPal account and caused my PayPal account to go in to arrears without me receiving the phone.* *I have been a valid customer to eBay for many years and have always had good experiences and I am now concerned that this unpleasant transaction will make me wary of selling on eBay in the future.* *Please can you respond and contact me to inform me how you wish to resolve this matter.* *Yours Sincerely,* *Stuart Darney
