Hello, **I listed my iPhone * Plus (item number: ************) on ********** for Buy $***.**. It was almost immediately purchased for $***.**. Strange, I thought, but nothing else seemed fishy, yet. The. The buyer asked me to ship the phone not to him, but to his nephew in Nigeria at an unregistered address (this is a known and documented seller scam tactic). He also continued to insist he had sent the payment to me via PayPal, plus an unsolicited “extra $***.**,” to try to get me “to ship the phone out first thing in the morning.” This is an obvious scam (I can provide record of all communications), but I also have reason to believe the buyer (kinnixo-*) has opened a claim and may attempt to falsify the details saying I refuse to send the item. He indicated his plan intention to do so after I called him out as a scammer, before going completely unresponsive. I now cannot cancel the order because “a claim is opened.” I contacted eBay Support and reported the fraud via phone yesterday (**********), and the Support agent indicated she had noted the attempted fraud, agreed that I was in the right, as said she had noted the buyers name and the item number of the listing, so there should be some record of this.
