I am trying to get my money refunded! ... Markie Showman’s Engine - eBay item ID ************ was returned to seller - Sparkieone**** , Return ID **********. On ********** eBay sent a message to me saying ‘seller refunded £***.** to my original payment method in PayPal: item Transaction: XP******F.*As of today ** February **** the funds have not been received by my bank.**Further message on ********** from eBay saying ‘You’ve received a GBP ***.** refund, it should be available through your original funding source. (debit Card ....****).**I have received NO INDICATION THAT THIS MONEY HAS BEEN PAID AND IT IS NOT IN MY BANK.*When I checked my PayPal account this transaction is not present! *PLEASE look into this matter by paying this money back into my Debit Card .......****.*and advise me accordingly.*Thank you.*JW
This is especially frustrating because I have very limited funds, am ** with a Chronic heart failure condition and have spent hours spent trying to contact a live person in PayPal or eBay both to no avail.
Of course eBay could make amends by paying me what I am due.
I’ve been a regular eBay customer for about * years and have NEVER experienced such disregard for customers.*Having been Bitten once I doubt I will ever use eBay again.
How GetHuman-jkswills fixed the problem
I phoned a PayPal freephone number on my mobile, it was the first thing they noticed - they don’t speak to mobiles so gave me a number to call by using a landline, as soon as I did so I got reasonable intelligence but it was synthesised, after jumping a few more hoops I was put in touch with a human who was more keen to help, after giving all the details of my case, and in particular theTransaction no. given by eBay earlier the human was able to quickly identify the whole history and informed me that the reason my PayPal ‘balance’ showed zero was because the original purchase transaction was done using PayPal’s Guest Account so it would not have shown on my normal account, I told the person that the method of payment (a*c) was not chosen by me but by eBay. The assistant then verified my account and the whole transaction and was able to confirm the original amount owed to me and said it would be transferred to my card a*c between today and **th February and that I would receive a confirmation of payment email during said period. That was the result of my ** minute phone call and I just wait a couple of days for the result - but the amount owed to me was confirmed by the assistant which has considerably put my mind at rest.
