For the past * months my I haven’t been able to talk to my friends over Xbox live. I was using the default headset. Then I tried switching controllers and that didn’t make a difference. I checked to see if I had muted anybody or if I had muted myself and I hadn’t. The mic shows it is plugged in but no sound. I tried doing a factory reset. Nothing. I’ve tried updating my controller. I have tried using my controller and headset on another Xbox as well and got nothing. I checked my network and my connection is all good. My NAV is open. I have no communication bans. And just last week I even got a new headset and the same problem is still occurring. I just want my friends to be able to hear me again.
