Sir*madam,**Since the complaint function on your website doesn't work, i had to find a different way to contact your company.**While i'm writing this i feel pretty frustrated and i'll explain why. A while ago i bought some tickets from Amsterdam to Florence to surprise my family for this weekend. The tickets and luggage already cost me a fair amount of money as you will understand.**Today, when i wanted to check-in online, i found out that i entered the wrong surname for my sister. I panicked a little and immediately started googling. I read about people being refused on flights because the name on their passport did not match the one on their ticket. After reading this information i found out that names were adjustable until a certain amount of time before the flight and would cost me ** euro's per ticket plus the difference in rate when there is one. I decided to change the surname and take my loss. I was unpleasantly surprised when i found out the change would cost me *** euro's, which in my opinion, is a RIDICULOUS amount of money. I decided to do it anyway because it was my own mistake and i didn't want to dissapoint my family.**A few moments later i came to the shocking conclusion that i made another mistake with one of the surnames. Turns out my mother's baptismal name is in her passport instead of her given name. This putted me in a very hard position position* either i cancel the tickets and lose the money i paid for the tickets plus the money for the change and dissapoint my family, or i pay another *** euro's (!) to make the change. Since it's ** hours before departure and i feel responsible for my own mistakes i decided to do the last. So now we end up going for a surprise trip to Florence for the weekend and i feel really bad because i paid double for it. **I tried calling your customer service a couple of times today, but because of the maze of options you have yo go to i ended up speaking with no one. Please fix that, because you are simply unreachable. **I cannot believe the amount of money you guys charge to change a name on a ticket. The ** euro's i understand. That is a fair amount of money for a mistake that could have been forseen. But why the difference in rate? What is the deal with that? It is not that a ticket has been canceled, the same people will still be on the flight. The passport number is still the same, so it wouldn't even be possible let another person board the flight. **I guess the actual change of name has to be done manually, if it would be automated it wouldn't be so expensive. So wich one of your employees does the job? The CEO? Because i can't think of anyone else who would earn that amount of money an hour. And why are these changes way cheaper or even free with other airlines? Since i paid a shitload of money and i don't know what it is for, at least give me an explanation about the buildup of this rate. I think it is in no ratio to the action i was charged for.**As you can read i am pretty dissapointed and in disbelief. I know it is my own mistake, but that is what people do unfortunately. I don't count on it, but i still hope you can compensate me in some sort of way. This is in no way fare. I paid a lot of money and it was supposed to be a nice weekend.
