Hello, I book some accommodation today.*Rental Number: ********Customer Number: *******On the VRBO website I chose my dates as **th August **** to *th Sept **** (* nights in total) and made payment in full.*I then received and email from the owner stating the following:*"Afternoon sir thank you very much for booking one of my condos I will tell you that we only rent Saturday to Saturday the great thank you very much have a good day" and another message straight after saying:*"I changed you dates Saturday to Saturday because that’s all we rent thank you"*Not only had the owner changed my dates from Thursday ******* - Wednesday ****** to Saturday ******* - Saturday ****** he had changed it from a * day booking to a * day booking with my consent.*At no point during the checkout process was I warned than a min * day booking Saturday to Saturday was the all that was excepted. In fact the min was * days so how it it possible to book Sat to Sat?*I contacted the owner to express my concerns to which he respond via the message system - informing me to cancel the booking.*The owner had a zero cancellation policy, which as I understand this means that if I cancel I would receive nothing and the owner gets to keep the money.*I received several more messages from the owner trying to get me to cancel which I refused.*I honestly believe this owner is trying to circumvent the rules of the VRBO website by allowing viewers to book any period less than * days (any day to any day), knowing full well the person booking will not be happy when the owner responds telling them they have to book from Saturday to Saturday, then informing them to cancel and losing all their money. *This is very dishonest*fraudulent behaviour!*I have contacted both VRBO chat and also rang their US number from the UK and also spoke to HomeAway, incurring telephone charges I should not have had to incur.*I have also been back on to the owner advert and taken screenshots of this issue as it is still allowing viewers to book any * day period and complete the booking.*I have contacted the owner via the VRBO messaging system who's reply was:*Good afternoon sir I authorize Vrbo to cancel your reservation because you did not meet the requirements of the Saturday to Saturday rule that I have you should get ***% refund on your endI’m good night".*I am still unwilling to cancel as I am scepticle about losing the full payment. *Here is a reference number ******** provided by vrbo.
