I was scheduled to leave from Gsp* Spartanburg to Newark NJ on flight UA****. I came to the airport early to make sure I was through all check points on time. My flight was later delayed until *:** and now *:**. I have been sitting in the airport since *:**. I was traveling to see my eldrely dad in a nursing home and now I will miss the whole day. I called customer service which was no help and offered to send me a $** travel certificate **, I think my time lost is worth more than that. I’m also upset because as early as I reached there was another flight that was leaving around *:** and know one even attempted to see it there were seats available in that flight.
