On August 31, [redacted], I confirmed United Airlines booking [redacted]. I am writing to address the issues we faced during our travel. In September [redacted], we had to halt our plans due to a family emergency. Despite informing cheapOair and United Airlines, we incurred a $50.00 fee per ticket for holding. When we tried to reinstate the tickets, we were unexpectedly charged $[redacted].00 each, eventually totaling $[redacted].46. Additionally, our flight from OGG on August 23, [redacted], was canceled, resulting in additional expenses for accommodation. The communication with United Airlines has been challenging, with unresponsive phone lines causing frustration. We hope to discuss these concerns and seek a resolution promptly.

I needed to alter my travel plans after my brother-in-law's passing. Initially, I was informed by the first agent that United Airlines would waive the change fee for me. However, subsequent agents I spoke to provided conflicting information and claimed not to have any record of my initial conversation. Eventually, the sixth agent confirmed a charge of $[redacted].00, which I was led to believe was the total amount. Unfortunately, my credit card was later charged an additional $[redacted].00 for the change fee.

I am traveling to the US on a student (F1) visa on December 20, [redacted], using Air India from Hyderabad (HYD) to Kansas City (MCI) with a connection in New York (JFK). Air India allows 23kg x 3 + 8kgs of baggage. On December 21, I have a connecting United Airlines flight UA-[redacted] from New York to Kansas City. Does United Airlines offer the same baggage allowance as Air India, or are there additional charges?

My United Airlines flight got canceled today, and I need a new flight to return to SFO or SJC from RSW or FLL. Flight Confirmation: N03VYH Last name: M. I spoke with an agent after waiting on hold for about 75 minutes. She couldn't find a flight for today or tomorrow and placed me on hold about 45 minutes ago. I haven't received an update yet. I've found alternate flights with different airlines from FLL for tomorrow. Although it's about a 2-hour drive, we could consider renting a car if necessary, ideally with compensation from United. New flight details: Virgin America #[redacted] - FLL-SFO - 12/31 6:30 pm - 9:55 pm JetBlue #[redacted] - FLL-SFO - 12/31 7:10 pm - 10:40 pm

I had a flight scheduled from Philadelphia to Washington, and then onwards to Japan. Unfortunately, the flight from Philadelphia was canceled, causing me to be rebooked for two days later, which conflicted with my military duties in Japan. The airline gave me the option to either wait or find my own way to Washington to catch my connecting flight. I decided to take a cab, which cost me over $[redacted], to ensure I made it to Washington in time. Now, I am seeking a refund for the canceled flight and reimbursement for the cab fare.

Hello, I encountered an issue with the email I previously sent through your online contact service as it bounced back as undeliverable. Therefore, I am resending my message. I require assistance regarding my girlfriend's journey on Lufthansa from Moscow to Frankfurt, then San Francisco, followed by the same flight to Kona, and afterward from Honolulu to LA. I face difficulty in assigning a seat on your code share flights (Lufthansa) since their system does not permit it. I kindly request to have her seated next to me. As an Elite Plus member and a regular user of the Star Alliance network, I would appreciate any support you can provide. Please advise on how we can proceed effectively.

As a military member on leave, I have a sudden change in my return date due to professional obligations. My supervisor requires me to be back two days earlier than originally planned. Despite reaching out to customer service multiple times, I was informed that the only option available is to pay a $[redacted] fee, which is beyond my current budget. I have already allocated all my funds to purchase the initial ticket. While I acknowledge the need for a fee, I am struggling to afford the $[redacted] charge. I am seeking assistance without incurring this additional fee.

I will be traveling from Burlington, VT to Bozeman, MT on Saturday, February 20, [redacted]. I used 50,[redacted] miles to book this flight, which seems like a lot. I opted for Saver First Miles to fly first class. However, I could only select first class on my shorter flight. I booked flight UA554 hoping to fly first class the entire way. Unfortunately, I face a 7-hour layover in Denver, which I find excessive, especially since I am only 17 years old and traveling alone. Last year, I had a similar issue with United Airlines during a 12-hour layover in Chicago due to late aircrew arrival. I am considering other airline options due to these repeated inconveniences.

During my trip, I had to change my return flight urgently due to a family medical emergency. I contacted three different agents, but encountered difficulties understanding them, leading to misinformation and confusion. The first agent provided inaccurate information, while the second agent gave conflicting flight times and clarified the misinformation given by the first agent about waived fees. Even though the first two agents failed to make the reservation changes, the third agent was able to do so. However, I was distressed to find out that despite purchasing a first-class ticket with real money for my original flight, I would still be charged baggage fees and unable to board early. The lack of available first-class options at a reasonable price added to my frustration. I am traveling for a tragic reason, as a family member is on life support, and I expect better treatment and communication from United representatives in such critical situations, despite my sadly not being surprised by the experience.

On [date], my sister booked a ticket for me using her United Airline miles from Dulles (IAD) to Medford, OR (MFR). She had enough miles and added me as a passenger using my frequent flyer number. I got a confirmation email with confirmation # EMQRV for passenger Rebeccaann Thornton. The purchase summary shows the miles billed to my sister's account, with taxes and trip insurance charged to my debit card. Purchase summary: - Adult (-) miles - Taxes and fees: $ - Trip insurance: $ Total: miles + $ MileagePlus miles: miles (Alfonso Fernandez *****) Credit card payment (Visa-**): $ billed by United Credit card payment (Visa-**): $ billed by Allianz Global Assistance United called me three days ago saying I didn't have enough miles in my frequent flyer account, even though I didn't use it. They canceled my flight to visit my son for spring break despite the ticket being worked on for three weeks. My entire vacation and my son's surgery ride on me being on this flight.

I am looking to book a round-trip plane ticket from Austin, Texas to Moline, Illinois for fixed travel dates of June -. I am struggling to find a ticket priced lower than $. Despite checking various platforms such as Priceline, the prices remain high. I need to fly into Moline airport and the only carriers serving this route are United, Delta, and American. My budget is $ or less, with a maximum limit of $ if necessary. I am hoping to find a suitable option within this range.

I require a refund for my United flight. My family and I had a trip planned from PHX to the Dominican Republic. I was at the Phoenix ticket counter ready to board when I received news that my family's Jet Blue flight from Salt Lake City was abruptly canceled and they couldn't secure an alternative flight.

I took a United Airlines flight last July from Portland to Baton Rouge, LA (UA [redacted] and UA [redacted]). After returning home and unpacking, I realized several valuable items were missing from my luggage. United Airlines initially mentioned a 24-hour claim window but I explained the situation and sent all necessary paperwork promptly. They later requested a time-stamp from a survey that I had completed following the flight, causing some confusion. Despite my efforts to provide the required information, they have not updated me on the status of my claim. I hope they address this issue soon, as the stolen items were significant and costly. The details of the flights and claim are as follows: Name: J. W. Holmes Portland (PDX) to Houston (IAH) on United [redacted] - July 19, [redacted] Houston (IAH) to Baton Rouge (BTR) on United [redacted] - July 20, [redacted] File reference number: BTR 10080P Baggage Claim Check Nos.: [redacted], [redacted] Thank you for your assistance. Hello, I work as an office manager and made a reservation for a round-trip flight last month for an employee attending a conference (originating from San Francisco to Palm Springs on April 25th). The employee is no longer able to attend, and we need to replace them with another individual. I've attempted to change the passenger details, but after speaking with multiple representatives, I was informed that it cannot be done easily, despite having managed this process through United on a previous occasion. The supervisor mentioned I could modify the name for an additional fee of $[redacted], or reach out to Customer Care for assistance either via voicemail or email. Unfortunately, the Customer Care voicemail inbox was full, preventing me from leaving a message. Additionally, the email submission form only allowed modifications for past flights, not future ones. This situation has been quite frustrating, and I am eager to have it resolved promptly. I am hopeful that GetHuman can provide some assistance. Thank you.

Subject: Inquiry Regarding Insurance for Flight Refund To Whom It May Concern, My name is Jisun Kwon, a student who recently experienced an unfortunate incident while traveling in Rome from March 26 to April 4. I am contacting you to inquire about the insurance I purchased with my flight and request assistance in obtaining a full refund. On the day of my departure, I was the victim of a pickpocketing incident in the city center, resulting in the loss of my wallet containing important documents such as my IDs, residency card, and debit/credit cards. Subsequently, I had to seek assistance from the US embassy to obtain the necessary documents to return to California. Despite facing delays and challenges with securing an appointment, I was unable to make it in time to catch my scheduled flight with United Airlines. As a passenger, I am aware of my rights to receive proper services and compensation when facing denied boarding situations, as outlined in legal sources such as Title 49 and EU regulations. The lack of assistance and the financial burden of this situation, totaling close to $[redacted], is significant for me as a student. Your prompt attention and guidance on how to proceed with obtaining a refund would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Best regards, Jisun Kwon [redacted] [redacted]

I purchased two tickets from Greenville, SC to Sacramento, CA online with confirmation number PJJ192. I encountered issues buying a ticket for my friend traveling with a 90lb dog. After several calls, another ticket with confirmation number ZLY768 was supposed to be added, but the process was not completed despite multiple attempts and conversations over the past three days. Communication issues due to accents made it difficult, even when trying to escalate to a supervisor named Jack. I need assistance to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you.

On July 29, [redacted], our flight UA2686 from IAD to SYR was initially delayed from 12:35 pm to 2:30 pm. Despite receiving a text at 11:38 am indicating the flight was back on schedule, we arrived at the terminal at noon to find it was too late to check baggage or reach the gate. With all subsequent flights full, we opted to drive instead. While the agent refunded our tickets, we were not compensated for our additional expenses related to the drive. We only received $98.20 in credit out of the $[redacted].17 airfare, and the credit's utility is limited due to JetBlue's location. We are seeking reimbursement for the $[redacted] we spent on tolls, dinner, and other costs incurred.

I am reaching out because I am no longer able to travel as planned to Arlington National Cemetery on Friday due to medical reasons. My doctors have advised me against working, traveling, or driving until further notice following my recent hospitalization from September 12 to 15. I was deeply looking forward to visiting my late husband's gravesite on what would have been his 53rd birthday to honor his service with 3 voluntary combat tours in Iraq. Can I kindly inquire about the possibility of either a refund for my ticket or transferring it to a family member to make the pilgrimage in my stead? I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you for your understanding and have a wonderful day.

I will be traveling with my 2-year-old daughter and 9-month-old son on a United Airlines flight from Lansing, MI to Chicago, IL to Little Rock, AK. My son will be on my lap, and my daughter will have her own seat. I have some inquiries about bringing their car seats, the carry-on allowance and specifications, carrying water for formula, snacks for my daughter, transportation assistance between terminals, and bringing makeup on the plane.

I spoke with a customer service representative who informed me that they would cancel my ticket. To request a refund for a ticket booked for my ex-boyfriend, who will no longer be joining us on the trip, I was advised to contact customer care online. Unfortunately, my previous experience with their online customer care did not yield any response. I am seeking a phone number to address both the current issue with the ticket for my ex-boyfriend and the past unresolved form I submitted in August.
