I have ordered uber eats in the past and it has been a great experience, but I was in a more rural area than usual and ordered, which may have been my problem. (I was in Waxahachie, TX). I ordered a salad from a McDonald’s less than half a mile away and the order took over an hour and a half. I called the McDonald’s directly and they said that they had made the salad and that it had been sitting for a long while. I ended up going to get the salad myself, which wasn’t a big deal. My issue was that I wasted my entire lunch hour thinking my meal would be delivered, but it never was. The McDonald’s manager said that no one had accepted the pick up at the time I was there to get my order-about an hour and twenty minutes after I had ordered thinking my lunch would arrive ** minutes later. I totally understand that in less populated areas it’s more difficult to find people to deliver, but maybe let people know before they order-as when I tried to cancel I was told i’d be charged for the meal either way, still with nothing. I was able to get my own food, but since the convenience was offered I initially took it. I really do appreciate the service and In the past it has been a lifesaver, but it would be very nice to not offer delivery as a service to customers unless you have someone able to deliver it in a timely manner. Thank you for your time **
